You can do it, man, I am in a 3rd world country and my father's income is 5m dollars a year after taxes and other fees. Just work and work, I will do that and will not inherit any of his money and will let my sister take it all.
Diego Sanchez really? Hmm I own one myself and get 6-7 hours of battery life just doing normal things (ex UA-cam, Movies, Excel sheets, Research papers). I think for most people they’ll be near a plug most of the time if they need the charge but I hope you find what you need!
I've been getting some good results out of my Surface Book 2. The 15 inch model is packing a 1060, which is more than enough for what I'm playing. I have heard that some people have issues with it discharging faster than it can charge while running games, but I've yet to see that in Overwatch, XCOM 2, or Civ VI. And speaking of Battery, I've not had it die on my yet while using it productively. I've been working at a cafe now for a little under 2 hours, and the battery is at 89%
This video convinced me to buy it. I've had it for a few months now, and it is an excellent device. I have almost no complaints, except that it doesn't have an Ethernet port. The wifi card is blazing fast though, so it's cool. Would also like an SD slot. I use it for almost exclusively gaming. All games I've played so far run excellent.
sounds like these days, no ethernet cable isnt a big deal since most mac laptops dont have that either. I'm giving my macbook pro 15" 2018 version to my wife and getting me this laptop. I was looking at Scar 2, but this looks good and its good that its also thin.
I’m using this laptop daily and i have to honest. I care less about the battery life because 2-3 hours of hardcore use is great for this Tiger Tank. This laptop is not for complainers who say battery life isn’t good enough. It’s good enough for me and when I travel, I’ll always have access to electricity at airports in AMEX lounges and I carry a huge portable lithium anker battery around with me when traveling. This laptop is not for the weak. Build quality is top notch. The big bezels are not a issue when you’re using it and playing games or even watching movies and doing web browsing. This is coming from a guy who has a gaming desktop pc with a Ultrawide monitor PG34VQ. I don’t regret the purchase at all despite the face that it’s not the customized on from online that gives bigger storage and the GTX 1070 is more than enough for this. I play call of duty black ops 4, fortnite, destiny 2 forsaken on this with no problem. I don’t mind the fans because although they get a little louder than what I’m used to, my headsets are on and I don’t notice any noise. The thermal cooling system is genius! I got it for $2000 at the base exchange!
@@snoopapnea Thanks so much man. I'm gonna go for it. Also one last thing, does the hinge on the bottom takes any pressure or something when the laptop is in the lap? I'm concerned and i don't wanna damage this beauty
Nishikant Meshram I used it without worrying about the hinge. I have a 2 year warranty with the place I bought it from that includes any accidental damage and stuff and my credit card gives me an extra year of warranty to make total 3 years of coverage. With normal use of it gets damaged, I’ll just call. But all in all, I wouldn’t worry too much about that lifting part near the hinge. If it makes me irritated then I’ll let you know lol. So far so good on my lap.
TalTheBest its not 60fps screen, its 60hz! That means if you get 60fps and 120fps its not the same! With 120fps you get a newer frame for your latptop/pc unlike 60fps! Dont know if you knew that already but really helpful.
I know that you've been moving into bigger and more expensive computers and laptops recently, but I, with along many others would appreciate a best budget (300-1200$) laptop episode or 2 since it's the end of the school year almost, and a lot of people are already thinking about it for next semester at University, especially here in Canada. Thank you!
Thanks for making a video on this laptop. I've been looking for a mobile gaming rig for almost 4 years. My last laptop was the alienware m11x. I had that laptop for years loved the battery life, but as with any laptop they don't play video games well unplugged, well not AAA games. Laptops don't have the voltage to push out the frames like it can plugged in. I love the new Aero 15x and MSI GS65, they are laptops that can game, I bet though we will be hearing a lot of complaints about hot laptops or thermal throttling with those two. I think if your really looking for something you can carry with you to another location then game the Asus wins. If your looking for a laptop that can edit videos or watch movies then go with the other 2 good choices. If your buying a "gaming laptop" then your going to need a plug no way around it. The Asus is a gaming laptop. It's not trying to be a compromise. It has the best gaming screen, it has the best GPU, it has the best thermal dissipation. I hate the "evil eye" though, come on Asus you really need to drop the eye thing most 12 year old kids don't have $2200 buck to buy a top end laptop. Even with the eye on the lid I still bought this out of the three, although it was a really tough choice. Keep making great videos Dave!

Can you do another review of the Alienware 17 now with the core i9 and alleged new cooling system (not to mention optional black color scheme)? Thanks!
Stephan Niznik sry, I'm waiting too, but it only comes out in 2 months. So... I'm really excited for the Alienware 14, hope it's lighter not to mention the i9 Alienware 17 R5... Damn!
Thank you so much for this review. A few major improvements I've seen: Latest Intel CPU, Optimus + GSYNC, 2 x storage drives, 32 Gb RAM, normal keyboard placement, 144 Hz 3 ms, non Max-Q 1070. These make it such a great overall gaming laptop! All this and lower price, nice! I just hope it doesn't have the fault rate as initial one had, ~50% reviews were laptops being returned after 2 weeks...
not much point waiting i would say the new tech is always around the corner and you can keep waiting forever. Instead go for the 1070-1080 models, the stronger ones last much longer. People with old but strong GPU's are still able to game current gen games.
EpicBunty, that's a ridiculous statement. The new tech is not "always around the corner". The 1080 came out in May 2016, almost 2 years ago! If the 1180 comes out this year sometime and someone can wait, they'll be getting much better price/performance, lower thermals and newer tech. Honestly, do some people even think before making comments?..
Thank you Dell for getting rid of the Red accents and illuminated keyboard, the new G series looks like a great bang for your buck, I just hope the screen is nice, not expecting the refresh rate this laptop has just something that’s bright and has decent color reproduction.
Thanks Dave!!! I respect you a lot....Because of you, I could choose the perfect new gaming laptop for me.......Thanks a lot!!!Keep going....I wish one day you will reach more than 10M Subscribers.......
superluc1214 nigga What? I can tell the difference between 60 and 20 I can tell the difference between 50 and 60 fps and 30 and 50 fps like dude where do you get that fake ass info from
Revoke Xenocide i just bought the aero 15x because I think its the best at being a beast but looking generic so its just a super ninja. also them bezels make it fit in my bag way better
A video that directly compares the msi, rog and gigabyte would be so so useful for anyone else who is looking to buy a laptop this year. Great videos, keep it up.
The MSI GS65 Stealth certainly has a lot going for it with its form factor, but this Laptop seems to have much more features for a gamer on the go. From write speeds to a wonderful gaming display this comes EXTREMELY close to what Desktops are like these days. This video pretty much solidified my choice on purchasing the Zephyrus M. Thanks much for such detailed comparisons and info for both PCs. :)
GTX1070, i7 8750H, 144Hz IPS 91%screen, 256SSD, thin and light so can bring to school..that's the most perfect laptop for my college! lol i already have $1900 i will get this in 3 months!
After seeing numerous positive review I decided to purchase one and I have 3 major complaints. First is the trackpad, the trackpad is pretty solid when it works, but all of the sudden there will be some jitter or weird behaviour from time to time, it will stop tracking or skipping for a seconds, other times the cursor moves in a circular motion while my finger is clearly moving in a linear direction. Second, the speakers are prone to rattle over 40% volumn, it is pretty loud tho with a lot of bass. Last, the plastic bottom bezel pops up from day one or two on my unit, it is just a QC thing or a bad craftmanship. Those aside, I mostly agree with Dave2D, this is a really great laptop for gaming , but you probably need headphones because the fan noise when gaming is pretty loud.
@@welsonsim5845 I believe it's a matter of price. I got my unit in Sep.2018 for 1900$ for the top configuration(16GB/512GB SSD+1TB HDD/GTX1070) and I am pretty sure you can get one today with less money. For say , 1600$ or 1700$, that's a no brainer. Laptop 1070 still beats laptop 2060 and I highly doubt what difference you can see in image quality just as what Dave's latest video explained(you gonna have a big hit in performance by enabling Real time ray tracing ). You can also purchase another 16GB RAM for say 160$ and install it with the money you save, this will actually boost the framerate by 10-15% depending on the games (most games in my experience, not CSGO etc, I won't explain into detail here) . But keep in mind that you need to deal with the downside of this laptop, really bad battery life means this wouldn't be a road warrior's choice. I am using this as a primary "desktop" computer and I am planning to purchase a Surface laptop 2 for my on-the-go needs so it is not an issue for me. Lastly, I have some issues with the jittery trackpad and I also have some complaints around the quality control, the bezel pops off on my unit from day one and it is really annoying.
plzz help me!!!!! i have to buy a gaming laptop at reasonable price and i have found 2 options - Lenovo Legion y520-15IKBN Spec - i5 7th gen Nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti 8 GB DDR4 RAM 128 GB SSD Another is Acer predator helios 300 spec- i5 7th gen Nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti 8 GB DDR4 RAM 128 GB SSD both have a price difference of almost 76 dollars and both has almost same specs which should be best option?
Honestly you're on point regarding the bezels. They're made out to be a big deal, but they REALLY stop mattering after you get your computer. On the opposite, they add durability to your screen.
Once I had a laptop that used to do the "switch to slower GPU" process you mentioned around 4:20 at the most uncomfortable times, especially when running older games. It really sucked. And I hated it for that reason.
XboxHeroGoose I love it, plays every game that I know of comfortably on max settings, the screen for me is amazing, makes games look great. Temps are good, not as high as the competitors, but when playing games it can get hot. Yes please buy the GTX 1070 version, that’s the one I bought.
There are three major configurations I'm confused about. 1. i7-7820HK with GTX 1080 2. i7-7700HQ with GTX 1080 (I know HK is better than HQ but this one is way cheaper than HK so consider price it seems pretty neat deal) 3. i7-8750H with GTX 1070 P.S. - All the GPUs are full powered ones not the max q design.
Raphandryu Weimsburg well this is just my personal opinion, but I think if you are using your machine simply for gaming, you should get the 7820HK one with gtx 1080 because games are more GPU dependent rather than CPU dependent, plus, it's overclokable. But if youre someome who often multi task and you don't mind less GPU power for games etc you should get the 8750 H since it has more threads
3:35 switching between G-Sync and Optimus has been on Clevo laptops for years. Watching this on my PA71HS-G which I got it for $1400 back in November. It literally shares the same specs with this $2000 laptop
Juan Perez they are launching this monday, so maybe it might take a while for him to get his hands on one. I hope he gets it soon though because im looking to order one
Nice review! I just want to say that, for me, being able to switch to onboard graphics to save power is still a big deal while plugged in, regardless of battery. I might be weird that way tho. It's just that I'm on my computer a lot and mostly for things other than gaming, so the idea of basically turning off the GPU when not needed sounds brilliant.
Wow, I got a GU501 and it’s basically this with a different screen (120hz no g-sync) and 128gb SSD + 1TB SSD. Found it open box at Best Buy for $1079 so it was a score. I don’t mind the big bezels because it lets there be more room for the keyboard, which kicks ass IMO. The trackpad size and placement on these is 1000X better than on the Zephyrus S.
Only issue I had with this laptop was backlight bleed. Had two of them in having to do exchanges. Seems the bottom left corner is the most prone area for it. The first one I had was really bad, second one was not as bad, however at well over $2000 there is no excuse for a good seal to prevent it. I just don't get it, I've owned many everyday laptops over the years with ips screens at a quarter of the price of gaming laptops, and they never seem to show the backlight bleed as much as the gaming ones.
Another awesome review. You really do a consistently great job on all these reviews. Thank you. Also... I can't wait for Razer to finally refresh their 14"er.
@Dave Lee what if I love all of your videos you post, it's not like I can subscribe over and over again, it's too bad I cannot without making any other accounts... lol I just like them because you make the best reviews.
I actually loved the front-mounted keyboard of the GX501. I liked being able to use it without getting the palmrest sweaty and the kb+trackpad placement when browsing replicates my desktop kb+m placement.
Just got this laptop (8750H & GTX1070) for just $1700. It’s an absolutely fantastic laptop. The build quality is amazing! And yes, you can run DisplayPort using the USB C port.
Another kick ass laptop - those fast screens are boss. I hope also you enjoyed the 720p food review =) Thanks for watching!

Hey Dave, are you going to check out the new Dell G series laptops when they come out?
The MSI GS65 Stealth certainly has a lot going for it with its form factor, but this Laptop seems to have much more features for a gamer on the go. From write speeds to a wonderful gaming display this comes EXTREMELY close to what Desktops are like these days. This video pretty much solidified my choice on purchasing the Zephyrus M. Thanks much for such detailed comparisons and info for both PCs. :)
GTX1070, i7 8750H, 144Hz IPS 91%screen, 256SSD, thin and light so can bring to school..that's the most perfect laptop for my college! lol i already have $1900 i will get this in 3 months!
so did you get it?
Really like your more budget like
*THICC* bezzels
i'm sorry, but excuse me?
EpicBunty HE SAID THICC BEZZELS
I'm also a gamer but I want less bezzels to have a better triple monitor experience or more portable gaming laptops
fastest display

Just bought the 1060 version of this at Best Buy. It’s on sale, check it out. Also, great review. You really helped decide which laptop to go with.
How would the durability keep up with that hinge opening?
it looks like a beefy hinge. all the important parts are metal. I'd trust it long term.
Bhargav Reddy I’ve had the GX501 since last year there’s no problem with it
Apparently this model has an improved dust filter too for that opening
Finalyyyy i was waiting for this vid forever
How to be cheap 😓?
Wish I had one
Thanks 😃😍
Always love these reviews! Can't wait for the new Dell laptop reviews.
Is the ROG GU501 a variation of the Zephyrus M?
kind of
After seeing numerous positive review I decided to purchase one and I have 3 major complaints.
Hi, i was planning to buy this model in gtx 1070. Do you still think this laptop worth to buy in 2019 since there have rtx 2060 and so on?
I was like wow, these bezels are *THICC*

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee, u are awesome Dave Lee !!
plzz help me!!!!!
i have to buy a gaming laptop at reasonable price and i have found 2 options -

Nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti
8 GB DDR4 RAM
128 GB SSD
Another is
Acer predator helios 300
spec-
i5 7th gen
Nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti
8 GB DDR4 RAM
128 GB SSD
both have a price difference of almost 76 dollars and both has almost same specs
which should be best option?
aryaman brijwal did u decide?
You are one of the best laptop reviewers because you know your stuff and actually buy the laptop to review it.
That's a quarter of my tuition :(
Honestly you're on point regarding the bezels. They're made out to be a big deal, but they REALLY stop mattering after you get your computer. On the opposite, they add durability to your screen.
You should try some other sights on fuze. I feel they are a little better.
which sight(s) do you like on him? I'm terrible with fuze
Dave Lee reflex!!
Russians nedd reflex man!
Dave Lee as they said, I think the reflex is best for all Russian operators.
Acog is also pretty good
Once I had a laptop that used to do the "switch to slower GPU" process you mentioned around 4:20 at the most uncomfortable times, especially when running older games. It really sucked. And I hated it for that reason.
Please review the new Dell G series!!!
Good laptop, Probably won’t believe me but I actually just bought one and it’s coming in two days, very excited.
1. How do you like it?
2. Did you buy the GTX 1070 version?
3. How are the temperatures on yours?
XboxHeroGoose I love it, plays every game that I know of comfortably on max settings, the screen for me is amazing, makes games look great. Temps are good, not as high as the competitors, but when playing games it can get hot. Yes please buy the GTX 1070 version, that’s the one I bought.
I will probably buy this when I'm
In Heaven
Wow feels bad man. I bought MSI GT72s about 2 years ago for 2000e with 980m. Now you can get this for 1800e and it's SO much better!
Make a video on laptops for graphic designer
Nice video as always man.
I'm confused. Should I buy a laptop with i7 8th Gen with GTX 1070 or i7 7th gen with GTX 1080?
I have the very same question right here
Ff
What kind of CPU is it? for laptop Intel has many variations like U, G, H
There are three major configurations I'm confused about.
1. i7-7820HK with GTX 1080
2. i7-7700HQ with GTX 1080 (I know HK is better than HQ but this one is way cheaper than HK so consider price it seems pretty neat deal)
3. i7-8750H with GTX 1070
Says games look really good in this panel, *shows fortnite...........
Anyone know the game at 3:35?
Mason Fox Rainbow Six Siege
@@masonfox5174 got it 😂😂
Lol fortnite is ew
Another great content Dave
Suggest a good gaming laptop under $800.Will appreciate it.
Bikash Sonowal pls
Bikash Sonowal There aren’t gaming laptops that cheap. Just get a normal laptop if that’s your budget.
Dell g7
Picked this one up used good condition at Amazon for 1159 which is crazy for the spec.
Its still unaffordable: (
Do unboxing video more please. I really like your videos and the concept of your channel.
Dave review Dell G3 G5 G7
Juan Perez they are launching this monday, so maybe it might take a while for him to get his hands on one. I hope he gets it soon though because im looking to order one
That option that the bottom splits to allow for better thermals is pretty sweet!
Why do people dislike within the first few seconds of the video being posted?
Lance Smith good question
Lance Smith Thats what the dislike button is for LOL
Lance Smith its the system.. for several likes, u'll get auto unlike, same if you get the dislike, theres for auto like
Adyth Chandra umm... no
Out of jealousy
Nice review! I just want to say that, for me, being able to switch to onboard graphics to save power is still a big deal while plugged in, regardless of battery. I might be weird that way tho. It's just that I'm on my computer a lot and mostly for things other than gaming, so the idea of basically turning off the GPU when not needed sounds brilliant.
Where has Razer gone ?
Under the sea
Wow, I got a GU501 and it’s basically this with a different screen (120hz no g-sync) and 128gb SSD + 1TB SSD. Found it open box at Best Buy for $1079 so it was a score. I don’t mind the big bezels because it lets there be more room for the keyboard, which kicks ass IMO. The trackpad size and placement on these is 1000X better than on the Zephyrus S.
dave 3D
That Marques refence. Mad respect for both
Cheaper *$2000*
Was ready to sleep but video uploaded 😁❤️
*_This Comment Has Been Taken Down By Asus_*
I'm gonna be ordering this soon 👌
Affordable... yeah...
Awesome Stuff. Love The Content
I wouldn’t buy this laptop but I would buy this review. Good Job Dave👌
