I don't remember the existence of this set, but I now see what you mean about how early LEGO Star Wars looks like an evolution from classic space, especially with the blue pieces. Early Star Wars is special to me because it got me out of my first dark age with the X-Wing, Y-Wing, and TIE Advanced And then years later my kids first became interested in non-Duplo LEGO when they found these sets in a closet.
I got this set for my birthday last year. The 1999-2000 Star Wars sets will always be the best ones, they just feel more "Lego-ey" than the new sets. My dad has that A-Wing too. BTW, have you noticed in the SW logo, that Jar Jar Binks has a normal hand, and not a Lego hand?
Yay! Finally a review of a set I already have in my collection. I love this set as well, all of the 1999 Star Wars sets are awesome. My credit card thanks you, usually I watch a review and think ok well now I need to find that set. 🤣
I remember wanting this set back in the day. And now that one of my collecting goals is to own every set from LEGO Star Wars' first year, I want it again, lol.
As a SW fan, u have seen most of the stuff that matters. Now just watch 7 seasons of "the clone wars", 4 seasons of "Rebels", Rogue One, and the first season of Andor. Oh wow, not that its all written out Im starting to realize u have a lot to watch😂😂😂
The minifigure heads with antennae on top is supposed to be probe droids I think .
I had no clue! Bricklink usually labels the droids so I didn’t want to guess lol! Thank you! That’s good to know 😊
yes, they are probe droids. after landing on Tatooine, maul sent them off to look for queen amidala. watch the movie at 0:51:12
I think this was my first Star Wars LEGO set.

I love this set, I to like the older star wars sets better. There is just something about them. I will need to add this set soon.

I think the best early Star Wars set is the X-Wing(7140). It's very good looking for it's day and very LEGO.

Hope you are able to get it!
