Same thing, same concept. I’ve just always preferred the FASS because of the option for the fuel heaters.

Gotcha. Fleetgaurd make a pancake heater that will work with the AirDog

It sounds like your not getting enough power when cranking. My 06 was doing that and I threw a new set of cables on and it made a huge difference.

Yeah I thought of that as well. I’m also wondering if the starter is going out

I honestly cant believe that non of the top end tuning companies havent came out with a way to do kill tedtd on the injectors, i use hp tuners and its been great but i do wish they would release an update that allowed us to shutoff each injector electronically.. or someone release a harness we can put vetween the injectors and the body, and it would allow us to test injector resistance and etc .. duramx's way of being able to see the injector rates is the smartest thing I've seen for injectors. That way there is no question if one is bad or not..

Dirty filthy fuel! Install a FASS! A 100gph will be sufficient, the 165gph is only $50 more and will be enough fuel for up to like 700hp. Do a sump! I like the beans machine dual port sump! You can use that 2nd port as a fuel return instead of doing the t in fitting in the filler neck. I like to run the bigger larger high capacity, finer micron rating CAT Filters. There a lot lot bigger! They filter down to 2 micron on the main filter and like 5 microns on the water fuel separator. You don’t have to run the FASS filters, they only filter down to like 5 microns on the main filter and 10 micron on the water/ fuel separator. I wouldn’t run any other filters but the CAT and a WIX. But filter brands are totally
Like underwear designs and brand, it’s a big preference thing just like motor oil brand!
I like the CAT because it’s bigger and larger and it looks cool hanging down and everyone knows it’s a CAT by the yellow lol.
But seriously, injector failure is gunna be caused by dirty, filthy, nasty fuel. The stock OE cartridge fuel filter set up and lift pump is junk. After you install a FASS you can delete bd remove all that OE junk and really clean up that side of the motor and engine bay! There will be all sorts of room when it’s all gone! You’ll actually be able to see the starter and the ECM!
Ya I’m not a big fan of replacing just one injectors, chances are the other 5 aren’t far behind! They’ve been getting they have been getting the same contaminated fuel!
Common rail injectors aren’t cheap! I can buy an entire set of p pump injectors or vp44 injectors for the cost of one common rail injector! At that cost of a set of 6 common rail injectors a FASS system is about $800 with a sump kit, that’s cheap insurance to protect your expensive solenoid electronic diesel injectors, and CP3 and fuel rail. Those things expensive to.
Most fass kits with a sump even come with the hole saw! No need to even drop the tank! It’s a n easy install, cutting the 3” hole in the bottom gives you a good chance to clean any silt and debris that’s gotten into the fuel tank over the years!
Here’s a cool tip: with the dual port sump like the bean machine dual port sump, if you use the t in filler neck fitting for the fuel return that’s supplied with the fass kit, then you can use that unused second port on the sump as a ‘fuel line in’ from an aux pumper tank in the bed! With a simple inline peacock on/off valve it will gravity feed fuel in and always keep the tank full. Or simple shut the inline peacock off and save what’s in the aux tank! I’ve got it all setup on my ‘02 24v HO 6 speed, I just need to order the 30-35 gal little in box aux tank, or in really want one of the tool box ones that has a smaller 25,30
Or 35 gal aux fuel tank in the tool box, no one would ever know I’ve in carrying an extra entire full tank of diesel on board! Imagine having one of the big 90-100gallon aux tanks in the bed l, you could drive across country and never have to stop for fuel or pump fuel the entire trip!
But defiantly get a fass on that truck and protect them expensive common rail injectors from filthy dirty fuel! I don’t think people realize how nasty and how much crap is in the fuel they put into their tanks! The I ground fuel storage tanks at older fuel/ gas stations can be rusty, old, and contaminated with water! I like to get fuel at one and only one fuel station in town, always getting fuel at the same place! This eliminates the chances of getting contaminated r or bad fuel. Here in Grand junction CO it’s maverick fuel stations that are the brand new nice ones!
And I think most people would be surprised to know the amount of junk and crud and silt and debris that’s floating around in their oe fuel tank! Fuel filters are so important! Like life or death important on a diesel, with so many high dollar very close tolerances and precise injection parts that have to be super clean! Again a FASS system is cheap insurance!

Thanks man, but I only run air dog and we just put one on it
