Cracking fish pal 👍🏻 have you ever tried the shrimp on float using centrepin? I’m hoping to try that next year but never targeted salmon before, would you say it’s worth trying that in Cumbria or better off trying your method with spin gear? Also any day ticket stretches you would recommend? Much appreciated pal 🤝🏻
@@oscarwmcg7382 it would certainly work I’ve probably go for that method on bigger slower rivers, I prefer the free line way for the rivers I fish but I do use the float if it gets really low and the flows almost gone. River esk get a day ticket at the golf course, millom anglers have the bottom of the irt that wouldn’t be a bad shout either get a ticket from holmrook garage for that water.
Great to see, same idea as spinning the old wooden Devon with lead weight 3ft up bounces along bottom and Devon swings round just like a fly, used to love fishing the shrimp with wee float, simple but deadly.
You’d be better using a large single hook. We came away from pins and trebles about 25 years ago. Single so much handier and and easier on shrimp or prawns.

Superb vid pal 👌 proper Angling 😉
An Hello from France 😉...when you fish like this with shrimp..do you cath sometimes Sea Trout? Thanks for your answer
Never in 15 years of my dad heavily shrimping he only caught 1 sea trout so it’s very rare
Enjoyed that Jordan, great video 🦐
Glad you liked it they love them shrimps. Seen you got a nice fish the other day, well done 👍
Great lad trying to help you out the lesser spotted snag at the end

You get it right it’s deadly, can basically stalk the fish with it.

Something I’ve never tried only started shrimping this season as my usual river has had it banned for over 10 years.
7 to 8lb?? Mate that was a double figure man
@@AndyDeeez caught a good number of doubles and for me that wasn’t one of them, was a strong fish tho
Well done lads but remember no fish is worth your life always be safe 👍
Definitely wouldn’t risk life over a fish, rivers not that fast there and about chest death so could have got wet but think it would have been fine
That place would be perfect for a centerpin
Brilliant mate u should get out on the rabbits iff one of ya mates have hawks good content
None of them have a hawk but would love to see it done.
@fieldsportscumbria my pal has them brilliant crack with the ferrets ,
