My aunt had a Rainbow D2 PN canister years ago. She loved it. She said that it reduced dusting and it made the air fresher and cleaner. She traded it in for a Kirby Heritage in 1983.
The dirty fan uprights such as Kirby, Royal All Metal, Eureka/Sanitaire F&G, Hoover Convertible/Decade, offers superior performance on carpets/rugs. They have high airflow, high agitation, low suction. The clean fan uprights and power nozzle canisters/tanks such as Aerus/Electrolux, Rainbow, Filter Queen, offers superior performance on hard floors and above floor cleaning. They have high suction, high agitation, low airflow.
Thats an interesting result considering vacuum wars', channel tests with the Kirby and Rainbow. He poured flour beneath carpet on concrete and tried vacuuming it back up through the carpet - which is a skill these high end machines are marketed to do successfully. The Rainbows (E2 Blue and SE Performance) left most of it and the Kirby pulled out all of it. Check it out. He did use a newer Kirby Avalir which has more CFM than the G4 and significantly more than any Rainbow thats ever been sold. At the end of the day, thats what matters. Even with a full bag, Kirby's have more CFM than a Rainbow according to Greatvacs.com so tell me now what is the point in owning one?
Yes I found it very interesting considering the Kirby has a higher cfm but the Rainbow still found debris left behind that the higher cfm Kirby left behind. This was a practical test with no editing or trickery
Tina Francis I think the point in owning a rainbow is getting your moneys worth out of a vacuum. It lasts longer than most vacuums and cleans extremely well. Not to mention it is satisfying to see your hard work in the form of dirt and hair in the water bowl when you are finished. The Kirby is a good vacuum as well!! To each his (or her) own. Everyone has different preferences and some people might find the rainbow to be worth the higher price. Especially if the person buying the vacuum has plenty of money. Lol
Kirby and Rainbow both make a good vac. I hear many saying Kirbys get deeper into the carpet, but don't handle the dust as well. Rainbows aren't known for getting as deep, but are better at containing airborne dirt while cleaning. Really though, you should be happy either way.

Kirby’s are for those who actually clean!

Nice.
Thankyou
I would bet anyone a hundred bucks if reran the rainbow again he would get the same results
He who vacuums last wins. No matter what vac you have (aside from the trash brands)
Now run rainbow 1st then put a new clean bag in kirby and see what rainbow leave behind
Yes this is a test I am interested in doing as Kirby are my second favourite machine. If I didn't have a Rainbow I would definitely use a Kirby
These are the real questions !
Disgusting! 🤢 no other vacuum works like the one and only Rainbow🌈✨❤️
rainbow is a piece of junk! Try cleaning on a daily basis and you will want your Kirby back!
Let's be honest if a chip falls on a rainbow rug I'm eating it! thanks Andrew :)
And with the bag working properly of the proper bag Kirby leaves no dust

To begin with the curvy is that way too low for that thick of a pile of rug but it's too low it blocks the air flow so it does not clean proper
The outer fabric bag and the fill tube have to be in good condition and then you put a HEPA bag in
If you look closely at 0:24 you can see the Kirby leaking dust out
Oh I'll have a look, this is why I know the Kirby is a fantastic machine but I love the way the Rainbow is always fresh and clean
