sorry for the bad audio quality! Ive been having issues with the mics so i wasn't using them, but just found the problem and next video will be clean audio!
yo, as a current owner of a 2022 XLT Tremor, I am super excited to see this build series! commenting and liking for the algorithm!
Heck ya! Appreciate it. Any mods on your tremor yet? I’m trying to soak up as much info on them as I can!
@@OverlandUnderBudgetyes you did! My brain was just formulating a comment and missed it!
Somebody get this man a mic! Haha! Love this build, Micah! I had a '22 Ranger before my F-250 and absolutely loved it!
Sorry! I think i just got that figured out. New cable to the mics so i dont have that issue anymore
@@OverlandUnderBudget Haha, no worries! I'm watching with my fingers on the volume buttons!
As a f-150 truck camper owner, I can not wait for the build inspo!
This truck is going to be incredible! Now I want to get a Ranger.
Thanks man, very excited to start the projects!
The wheels and tires totally make it. Looking great!
Man you said everything I’ve been saying for years about trucks in general over the past 10-15 years! Super stoked for this build I like you have had a 2011 Toyotas Tacoma TRD OR with mild suspension and 33s and I’ve had a 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 nicely built gears, tuned and topper and 34s. Now I inherited my pops ‘21 Ford Ranger Tremor XLT and started building it. Loved your flatbed build and can’t tell you how stoked I am to see you build this platform out!!
Right on! Thanks man. Excited for this as well
Those flares really make that look like the F150 Raptor styling. Look awesome!!
Would love to see more diy style videos of you working on the truck. Like installing the touch screen and all the other tips and tricks you find on the way! Great job, can’t wait to see the finished truck!
Appreciate it, looking forward to more DIY projects and documenting it on this one.
I have a ranger and subscribing just for this build
35 gallon tank on my f150 is so nice. Two weeks commuting and usually there and back on a road trip. 3 hours and back.
Oh man soo looking forward to that experience
Be sure to check out the Forscan programming options for Fords. You can unlock a lot of options on your truck. And it’s DIY and free.
heck yes! my dad has been diving into that, and its epic.
Headlight recommendation: Morimoto XB LED
Put them on my ranger and I LOVE them. Triple projector LEDs, feel OEM quality or better.
I do like the ones on your dad's ranger that you mentioned but IMO the morimotos look better and in my experience and research Morimoto has great engineering design and QC.
I believe headlight revolution has a video on them too.
I need more of this build as soon as possible!
What a transformation. Excited for the build.
Looking forward to seeing more with this. As a decently built 20’ xlt owner I’m stoked to witness your applied ingenuity. 🤙
Would love a dedicated install video on the LRA tank. I have been debating buying it for my 2019. Psyched for the rest of the series.
Thanks man! Yes I will have a video that covers the instal but probably in step by step detail. They do have of those made. Super excited for it!
Thankyou for the update. I always look forward to seeing new videos.
Congratulations and welcome to the Ford family.
Your Danger Ranger looks clean af!! Real nice!!
Awesome that you’re not a Toyota fan boy and stuck to them. I have 2 02 4Runners but love all vehicles and am really excited for you to work on the ford platforms
This is looking really sharp!
I love that stance. It looks great. Can't wait to see it all done. I've been looking at older slide-in truck bed campers that pop up kind of like a RTT. Would be cool to build out a flat bed and slide one of those on.
Looking forward to this build 🤙
I have a 21 Tremor Lariat as well
Those flares are the t**s. The smooth edges are what do it for me. Others have those phony bolts. Ew.
I do like them!
Excited for the upcoming builds
Thanks me too!
I have a ram 1500 rebel with the ecodisel and I get about 600 miles per tank and that's about 33 gallons in a full size truck
Thats killer!
So excited to see a ranger
Can’t wait to see the flatbed! I’ve been trying to be to figure out the BLIS stuff. I’ve got some mounting ideas for that along the frame that’s tucked out of the way. About to build a sheet metal brake to make my dropsides to have when my bed camper isn’t there. Looking forward to this build dude!
Heck ya! Thanks man. And I think summit expedition trays has the BLIS figured out.
@@OverlandUnderBudget I’m sure they do. I just don’t know if they’d spill their secrets to a DIYer.
Awesome looks great 🎉
So exciting to so you excited! 😊
I also went with the Husky mats. Nice value for the money. I went with the RTR Fender Flares. I liked how they actually have the small piece that sits on the front bumper. I went that route since I'm running the 2" front receiver with a stock bumper.
Fun stuff! The truck looks really good. Happy Ford is getting you out to the product launch events.
🛻+⛺️=🙂!

Been subscribed since the early taco camper build vidoes, huge fan on the Instagram, keep killing it man, I am down in Carpinteria, but hopefully one day able to catch you out on the trails!
Can’t wait to see what you do with this.
The Mazda derived, 2.3 L engine that is in that ranger is about as tried and true as you can get from a current generation manufacturer. You can easily expect to see 200,000+ miles with proper maintenance. The only bad sign to the 10 speed I’ve heard is the sticky 2 to 1 downshift, but I seems to be there was a recall with a software update for that.
I would suggest an oil catch can and then regularly check your EGR system probably around every 50,000
Awesome!
Stoked on this series! Did you have any insurance issues or increased rates because it’s a salvage title?
im paying $110 a month on it for insurance
Great vid. Thanks!
I’ve been looking for a tremor front grill with the red on the sides. If you are getting rid of the one you have let me know!! Great build and looks fantastic!
I'm looking forward to the process. I want to build one as well. If my project Tundra works out.
No one should sleep on that 10sp auto. That transmission is a awesome.
Keep your FOB in Aluminum foil AKA a Faraday Cage to keep thieves from boosting your signal. It’s the latest easiest car theft trend.
Ford uses permaseal on their headlights which makes them a pain to take apart. There are some special liquids that help degrade it but most of the time you have to bake it multiple times while picking at the permaseal.
Ah that’s key Info, thanks for sharing!
PLease get a wireless lapel mic. Its hard to follow when the voice is fading in and out. Content is great though
sorry! Got my issues with the mics figured out so next video will be clean audio
I really like your take on this purchase and build.
You are making a minor accident vehicle into a budget friendly build and taking some of the scariness out of a totaled vehicle.
If I can ask,
Was insurance a problem? Did you go with liability only. Or did the insure for the amount you paid? Or did they re-evaluate its value after your repairs?
Please do a video on the rock sliders!
How’d you fix the 4WD; I know in Part 1 it wasn’t locking in.
It was an incorrect fuse that was swapped around incorrectly
Correct! The fuel pump relay was swapped with one of the 4wd relays. Super wired but that fixed it!
@@OverlandUnderBudget wow good on you to check that first! I’m sure a shop would have been running around in circles! Makes me wonder how the fuel pump was working then haha
Is this thing all insured with a fixed title? Just curious how that whole process was! Looks amazing, cant wait to see what you do with it.
Thanks! And yes insured 👍 I’ll do a follow up video specifically on that process.
Ive owned 2 CoPart salvage title vehicles. Once state inspected and tagged insurance treats them as any other good titled vehicle.
Title in my state was a different color to indicate “rebuilt salvage” so it might affect resale. I bought with intentions to drive the wheels off. One I sold after 80,000 miles for near what I paid. The other was totalled from collision (drove it 120,000 miles) and Insurance paid appropriately as any clean titled vehicle
What's the part number for the auxiliary light switches? Haven't had any luck finding them.
How was it dealing with copart? I checked it out and kinda seems like a pain. Gotta pay this and that just to see important info.
now all you have to do is get forscan to get rid of the annoying ford beep!
on the list!
any reason you went with the ranger (besides the price) over a 2nd or third gen tacoma? super pumped to see what you do with it
Price, power, transmission, and I like the looks of done right. Fun to build on something that’s not as common, and I think they are underrated. But we shall see!
@@OverlandUnderBudget excited to see what you do with it!
Did you ever design plates to weld to the frame?
I haven’t yet, but it’s on my list!
there is some odd interlace issue you have with the render
Yes I had a 24 fps timeline but 29.7 clip frame rate and couldn’t change it without crashing davinci.
@@OverlandUnderBudget davinci - great for color. Meh for other.
Can’t enjoy a movie without good audio!A mic would help a lot!
Sorry! Got it figured out for the next one. Mics were having an issue so, but I found the problem.
How far off will the speedo be?
Not much at the moment but you can adjust it through a software and obd2 port. “Forscan”
I’m sadly selling my first gen. double cab TRD. I painted it in quicksand. If you need another, let me know. 😂
4:43 I think you are confused because the lift given by a 1/2 inch spacer is 1 inch over all due to geometry. If the spacer was an inch think you’d get a lot more than an inch in lift!!
I believe i clarify that just 8 seconds later haha
@@OverlandUnderBudget Yep, was confused at first too, but you clarified it.
Man I have a brand new set of morimotos for my lariat. I haven’t put them on yet. Hit me up
Painless dent removal guy can fix that bedside for you
56 unread texts?!
on a good day haha
Still seem to have audio issues. Your voice behind the phone vs in front of the phone seems to be the issue. I'll continue to muddle through the trying audio because I really appreciate your builds, but hopefully it gets worked out.
I think I just got it fixed! So next video will be a lot better audio. Mics were not recording to the same track. But also this particular video I used no mics so that’s the reason for the strange audio. Hang in next one will be better!
Still overpaid
