First! Wohoo! Never to late to recheck even basic workflows done by others. Sometimes you can still pick-up some new tricks from veterans like Raphael.
Your tutorial/training videos are one of the best I've ever seen, thank you very much for inspiring and teaching. Hope you'll be able to publish more soon, maybe you could have time for more videos if you got a patreon account? I think after seeing your videos people would be more than happy to support you.
Thank you very much. Great to hear that you like my tutorials that much :-) I have been thinking about a patreon page for some time now. I am not wether to do it or not, but I am definitely will keep up doing videos :-) Cheers and thank you again for your nice words!
Great Octane tutorial, very clear and detailed. The dirt version works great but when I try and use the vertex maps the maps are pixelated and random over the geometry. Using R20,059 and Octane 2018.1.1 (5000011). I am new to Octane so apologise if it is something I am doing incorrectly. Again, thanks for all the great training and Octane training, fabulous work on your Octane "Work Life" too
Hi there and thank you very much for your nice words. About your problem: Try updating to the latest version of the 2018. It´s 2018.1.3. What you are describing sounds like an issue form the versions where Vertex Support was worked around by the programmer. Therefore I think you just need to update your Octane version. You will find the newest version Otoy Forums under: Octane Licensed Customer Forums › Plugin Discussion/Support › Maxon Cinema 4D › Releases Hopefully this will help. Good luck to you. Feel free to write again if it is still not working! Cheers, Raphael
