Mostly because Nadia tells us who they are. You can also find many of the current contributors listed on the facts website, but matching them to individual videos is a bit hit or miss, and both the newest folks and the ones who have moved on and are no longer part of the channel are missing.
Eric B because it is a Mars bar. in the uk milky way are just nougat. no caramel like in the us. your Mars bars and milky ways are almost the same thing.
just nougat is what we call a Three Musketeers bar. American Mars Bars have almonds in them. so it goes like this US = International Mars Bar = Snickers w/Almond Milky Way = Mars Bar Three Musketeers = Milky Way
louiseglasgow No Irn Bru either! I know it's not "food" but where the hell is the love for our Irn Bru! And a pizza crunch with no chippy chips? My inner fat was screaming at them for missing it out, my outter fat was just judging them
I hate to break their hearts. Really. But. I'm sorry. But deep fat fried mars bar isn't actually something we eat. Most if not everybody says they do to trick people into trying it. However, deep fat fried galaxy & galaxy caramel. Now you are taking 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Jack-In-The-Box restaurants had the damn things back in the early 1980's. They called them "Pizza Pockets", they were around before Hot Pockets, even. They were amazing, but a lot of people burned themselves and they sorta dropped in popularity. They were priced pretty steeply, too. $2.39 was a lot of money in 1984.
Decent sized lot of Americans (like me) are descendants of Scotch-Irish folks. I wonder how many generations back we'd have to go to figure out the cousinhood to any of the Facts contributors. lol (McCauley/Donahoo in the house!!!)
The facts personalised sick bucket, Mr Buckets O,Puke getting his time to shine again, sneaking into the shot when he seeing the haggas , I'm proud of you Buckets keep up the good work
Visit many of the US State fairs, I'm 100% sure someone is deep frying pizza. They deep fry everything at those places. If they deep fry butter, you know they've been deep frying pizza for decades, it's just not well-known on a national level.
It's got to be dipped in batter from the chippy and then deep fried. Have you ever had a chippy? Chip shop? Because that in itself is glorious. Sausage supper (a massive sausage dipped in this beautiful batter and deep fried. With chunky deep fried chips and chippy sauce. Which is made with brown sauce and vinegar and it's my holy grail of condiments) Add in a can of vimto (do you have vimto?!) Biting into that pizza with its greasy batter coating and tasting that glorious warm thick fluffy pizza. Ughhbtkylhssv. Just ughmmmphhh 😂😂
"It's a pizza! It's a deep-fat-fried pizza, John!!" Donal's enthusiasm is so infectiously delightful. :D Also..."my suga," editors? I think it's "meshuge"...
Well I guess it's, "meshugga - senseless; crazy. meshuga, meshugge, meshuggeneh, meshuggener. Yiddish - a dialect of High German including some Hebrew and other words; spoken in Europe as a vernacular by many Jews; written in the Hebrew script." 😁
As an American I'm disappointed that I've never encountered a deep fried pizza. Is it really that popular in Scotland, or is it more like something you'd find at a fair?
Its pretty easy to find them in the major cities, not sure about the country side. Just walk in to any chippy and you'll be able to get yourself a delicious heart attack
Chippies in the city centres, particularly Glasgow. But tbh, they're more of a hangover food or a "hey we just left the pub/club/bar and we're still hammered and pretty hungry, why not we get deep fried SOMETHING" kind of thing lmao
I'm like really REALLY waiting for you guys to try Argentinian food. It's been almost 2 years since i started to watch Facts. I think i deserve it. Love you guys!
I like how when it comes to the fried pizza, the men pick it up and shovel it in while the ladies are all dainty with forks and knives. You got class, Ireland.
I tried the deep fried mars bar as a joke when i visited Edinburgh three months ago. It is one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. These people are culinary geniuses. Very fat culinary geniuses.
Ha ha. John sounds like Billy Connelly. It pleases me greatly to know that the food of my heritage earned such high praise from these fine taste testers.
Love Haggis tastes amazing , Lived in Scotland for 3 years , best time of my live , England sucks , Scotland so much better and cleaner . Love the cold winters too
As a proud member of Clan Stewart, I thoroughly enjoyedthis Facts video. And yes, Scottish food is great, and yes, they would be lost without a deep fryer. Well played, Sharpson brothers, you cleaned the plate properly. (Waste not, want not)
choo snau it's rather messy when they eat a soup or a stew, and you can clearly tell that some newly paired hosts are bothered by eating in the same plate. C'mon guys, give them a plate or a bowl each !
Cysquack Gannon Well, actually I'm french, and I would still like them to have a bowl each when they eat soup, because this is basic table manners. People can like if they agree.
I know I'm not alone when I say the first few bites of a deep fried Mars bar is glorious. But finish the whole thing, and you'll most likely projectile vomit... everywhere.
Donal said " it's a deep fat fried pizza, John" to his brother, John, who is sitting to his left. Unfortunately, not a reference to Pizza John of vlogbrothers fame.
gerald stone in Scotland they deep fry everything. 25 years ago you could take any candy bar you liked to the local fish n chip shop and they would batter and fry it for you for 50 p
I know this is almost a year after the fact, but...Sarina says "meshuggah", not "my suga." Seems she's describing the pizza as "deep fried craziness" ('meshuggah', I'm sure you know, means 'crazy' in Yiddish).
I had the great fortune to be Scotland as a Navy reservist and I gotta say, I enjoyed cock-a-leekie soup and haggis. Also got to see the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle. Honestly loved Scotland, the food, the people, the drink, the lot. Cheers....
***** lol you literally look like a Mexican in your pictures, yet going on about how the white race is superior. you don't even look white, gtfo with that bullshit!
The way I've always made stovies is boiling up some thinly sliced onions and potatoes and then mashed it together with some oxo and corned beef I've never seen it done with mince 😂
Jack Linde well, they are living in New York, where do you think they are getting all that crazy food from, Ireland? She probably learned it as mandatory New York slang
+clod8 Pretty sure this staff is based in Ireland, since all of the people here are Irish. Some of their videos take place in locations around Ireland.
clod8, messhuga is Yiddish-it's spoken all over the world. Scottish food and other cuisines are also available worldwide. Try not to let your paradigms of human endeavour box you in too much.
First had haggis as a student at University of Glasgow at my residence hall's Burns Supper (Horselethill House Hall). I was told that one ate haggis with a lot of "champit tatties" loads of pepper and a glass of Scotch. It was tasty, but something like chewing a mouthful of flavorful meaty rubber bands.
Been wanting this for ages and it did not disappoint! Good selection and was pleasantly surprised to see stovies included. Could easily be a part 2 with tablet, irn bru, cullen skink, shortbread, and a decent breakfast plate with tattie scone, square sausage, and black pudding.
John Baugh it's meant to be, but I'm Scottish and I don't know anyone who's had one. I remember years ago a chip shop made them and because it was so ridiculous it got press so I guess it's came from that. I believe some chip shops will do it for you if you ask but others won't because it ruins the oil.
Michael Begley oh OK well I already did but I just thought that you were friends as the title of the video said but I wasn't aware of the comments on the video, anyways hope you guys keep as good best friends, but I think you would make a cute couple (sorry) 😄😅😝
Yall need to put Donal and John together more often, its just two brothers having a good time and its great.
How do you know any of their names?:
Mostly because Nadia tells us who they are. You can also find many of the current contributors listed on the facts website, but matching them to individual videos is a bit hit or miss, and both the newest folks and the ones who have moved on and are no longer part of the channel are missing.
Yes yes yes!!!
Colette Bassler I love those brothers!
I was today years old finding out they were brothers.
More Donal and John. Hell, bring them to the states and have them eat their way across the country.
donkeebaIs that sounds like a beautiful tv series I would be so down for :D
loool after he throws up "it's a no for me " 😂
Robin Williams once said that most Scottish food started out as a dare.
Adam Martin damn right fry a Milky Way and call it a fried mars bar. BLASPHEMY
Eric B because it is a Mars bar. in the uk milky way are just nougat. no caramel like in the us. your Mars bars and milky ways are almost the same thing.
Adam Martin i honestly think that is true ! You should see the things my friends make 😂
just nougat is what we call a Three Musketeers bar. American Mars Bars have almonds in them. so it goes like this
US = International
Mars Bar = Snickers w/Almond
Milky Way = Mars Bar
Three Musketeers = Milky Way
Adam Martin I thought that was Mike Meyers
Where are the neeps and tatties? Haggis by itself? OK I've finally become one of THOSE commentors, but seriously!
louiseglasgow As an Englishman, Haggis, neeps & Tattys with a nice single malt is well moorish.
louiseglasgow No Irn Bru either! I know it's not "food" but where the hell is the love for our Irn Bru! And a pizza crunch with no chippy chips? My inner fat was screaming at them for missing it out, my outter fat was just judging them
As an American, I understand some of these words
we have Irn Bru anyway 😂 and I don't see why they were so excited about the battered mars bar we have them here too 😂
one of the things i miss most living in england is no haggis supper at the chippy
Finally!!!!! Where the Scottish folk at? 😂😂👌🏻
Alexa Campbell I have to agree with you on that one
Present! They got stovies and the pizza wrong but this video will do I guess.
Alexa Campbell you popped the whole of Ireland's bubble
The Internet Troll I'm so sorry.
Scottish hugs? 😳😬
How did Scotland get deep fried pizza before America?
Christopher Pritchett nope we have it. just need to look.
We have calzones!
Christopher Pritchett everyone had everything before America. they just like to claim they did it first. :P
Christopher Pritchett McDonald's had them in the 80s, as well. McPizza, and it was so good.
Yes! John and Donal together again this is the best combination of them all I think! Two brothers is the best chemistry man it's perfect
"Deep fried Mars Bar. Deep fried Mars Bar. DEEP FRIED MARS BAR!!!" Sarina is sooo adorable. Love her throaty laugh.
I've been waiting for this. Scotland and Ireland share a lot of similarities, so I was curious why this took so long.
Those similarities end firmly at deep fried mars bars and pizzas.
Adam Martin but historical ties are more prominent ahah
Decent sized lot of Americans (like me) are descendants of Scotch-Irish folks. I wonder how many generations back we'd have to go to figure out the cousinhood to any of the Facts contributors. lol (McCauley/Donahoo in the house!!!)
+RB Keffer *Scottish. Never call Scottish people "Scotch", that's the American name for a whiskey hahah
AaronC 987. *Celtic**
The facts personalised sick bucket, Mr Buckets O,Puke getting his time to shine again, sneaking into the shot when he seeing the haggas , I'm proud of you Buckets keep up the good work
stephen white I'm still waiting for them to start selling one, I need a Facts sick bucket!
Alicia Montgomery yep, I need one myself and not just for show, some weekends it would come in very handy indeed haha
Like a dear old friend, Buckets is always there for you to spill your guts to.
J-Me hahaha good comment, he really does deserve more recognision
Aww, little Buckets has been getting a lot of work lately. So proud.
🌀😨🚽
Deep-fried pizza?!! As a fat American, why was i not informed of this beautiful creation? I should've gotten a memo, something!
oh my
Visit many of the US State fairs, I'm 100% sure someone is deep frying pizza. They deep fry everything at those places. If they deep fry butter, you know they've been deep frying pizza for decades, it's just not well-known on a national level.

the deliciousness of it all is nearly too much to bear.... I'll have no choice but to come to the UK and get some
John D you haven't gone to many fair grounds have you, they deep fry everything even butter.
"It's a pizza! It's a deep-fat-fried pizza, John!!" Donal's enthusiasm is so infectiously delightful. :D Also..."my suga," editors? I think it's "meshuge"...
I heard meshuge. Lol
I'm Scottish and to be honest I believe there is more people talk about deep fried mars bars than people that have tried them.
Nicole AND Sarina together?? That is WAY too much devastating Irish hotness for one screen. I feel like I've been staring at the sun.
Jack only see one Irish girl there.
They are very beautiful!
The only channel that has done our food right, thank you!
"Shreck he wasn't an ogre he was just Scottish" Jeez these guys are good craic 😂😂
I love John and Donal in this one. So cute!
Wich pair are they is it the guy with the black hair and beard or the other pair
EDIT I know I'm correct
The Sharpson brothers are together! You just made my day, Facts. :)
There is NO shame in drinking soup. Ever.
Ashley W , not at weddings though haha
I eat it for breakfast.
K Lab soup and cornflakes
i feel like shaming the sharpson family is a daily occurrence for these two xD
what kind of wedding serves soup? i would walk out on principle, lol.
Now facts should produce a video of Scottish people watching Irish people eating Scottish food.
factsception
A Santi I’m Scottish and I thought that was a discrace
the way he said "it's a no for me" after dry heaving was cute .
As an American, we're all disappointed in you
Chippies in the city centres, particularly Glasgow. But tbh, they're more of a hangover food or a "hey we just left the pub/club/bar and we're still hammered and pretty hungry, why not we get deep fried SOMETHING" kind of thing lmao
naw ave never even heard of it mate we actual; naw I've pure had it a few times....shite naw but actual its pure dino
you find them in every ship shop and chip shops are popular , thats what i always get from the chippy
Yellow Shirt and Beard Face are thee best Dynamic Duo! Hahahaha I binged watch all your "Irish People..." series last night with the wife. Great work!
el .cHeeSie They're brothers, so they've had a lot of practice with that dynamic. Haha. John (Yellow Shirt) and Dónal (Beard Face) Sharpson.
Oh wow! I had no idea. That's pretty cool! I just saw the Father Day's video with them after I read your comment. Thanks for the heads up! :)
el .cHeeSie No worries! Glad you're enjoying them. They're fan favourites.
Oooh YES! I've been waiting for this video way too much! :D
Yasss my country 👌🏻😍 finally!

Elise Kelly ive seen hunners of em
Its like... I dont know... Seeing poeple eating what i eat often but for them the 1st try :P (not too often)
i didn't even know some of these foods even existed and I'm from Scotland I need to get out more
Irish or Scottish {btw I’m Scottish }
The guy in the yellow shirt doing the accent made me laugh so hard. I love when most of the people love the food. Love this video :D
Kelly Perz His name is John Sharpson, and accents are kind of his thing. He did all the accents in the Irish Accent video a million years back.
Ah, no way! Yas. Finally Facts. Do a video on a Scottish topic!🙂🙂
IT was cool to see them share the same plate of a dish as opposed to having individual portions.
I dream of a Scottish Facts. , ya ken?
Never thought I'd ever seen someone this happy & excited about getting a deep fried Mars bar!
Billy Connelly is of irish ancestry not scottish .
Brings back memories of my grandma cooking traditional Scottish meals
judging by your profile pic, you just eat flesh nowadays
Like deep fried pizzas, so Scottish.
Hooray for the Sharpson Brothers
Haha, it seemed like everybody was hungry today.
P.S. Damn, that sound you heard at the end was Michael's heart breaking.
2:47 Yeah! I love that reaction.
"You have to smell it!"
"There's no time!" hahaha enthusiastic much?
I've been waiting for this video, so happy!
Love the Irish...our Celtic cousins 🍀
? you do know half on europe was celtic .
I'm half Irish, half Scottish just to mention! 🖐😄
Stephen Murphy nice combo! 😍
God no thankfully .
_"....if my heart had a face right now..."_ cracked me up
Donal and John are so great together. love scottish food gotta get some.
(Waste not, want not)
Have them try Sri Lankan or Filipino food next! :)
I'd love to see them eat Filipino food!
Hey, we have lumpia too in Indonesia.
Leave it to filipinos to mention filipinos constantly.
The deep fried mars bar was started in my small village of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire
All I want for Christmas is to be on Facts when I'm back in Ireland again😬😬😬😬
Binge watching for 2 days now ....I love yous and is that nick from days of our lives
Sometimes I wonder if the single plate for two is really necessary !
TheZapan99 why
choo snau
it's rather messy when they eat a soup or a stew, and you can clearly tell that some newly paired hosts are bothered by eating in the same plate. C'mon guys, give them a plate or a bowl each !
TheZapan99 Europeans aren't that uptight
Cysquack Gannon
Well, actually I'm french, and I would still like them to have a bowl each when they eat soup, because this is basic table manners. People can like if they agree.
Especially with soup. I find it a bit gross
My heart skipped a beat when Sarina spoke Yiddish. 🥰
Thank fuck finally my culture represented
I love this video! The Sharpson bros killing it again! 😂😂
I also LOVE Scotland, so my face is smiling so much. 😊❤️
I know I'm not alone when I say the first few bites of a deep fried Mars bar is glorious. But finish the whole thing, and you'll most likely projectile vomit... everywhere.
I love the 2 brothers!! They need to be put together more, or start their own channel!! ❤️❤️
My teeth are humming. 😂 LOL
Make a vlog series of John and Donal travelling everywhere doing stuff and doing commentary - that would be so good! :)
1.31 did he say...Pizza John?...
Donal said " it's a deep fat fried pizza, John" to his brother, John, who is sitting to his left. Unfortunately, not a reference to Pizza John of vlogbrothers fame.
I love it when they put the brothers together on the same video.
Gotta love the Sharpson boys
Had to love when the Irish guy threw up the haggis well what can I say it's an acquired taste my mum has tasted it and loved it !!
Deep fried pizza & Mars bar sounds much more American than Scottish. No matter, they both looked good.
gerald stone We in Merica have no idea what a Mars bar is.
gerald stone in Scotland they deep fry everything. 25 years ago you could take any candy bar you liked to the local fish n chip shop and they would batter and fry it for you for 50 p
So that's where we got it from. State fairs- deep fry EVERYTHING
I know, I'm in the USA every year for work, sitting in Texas right now
Deep fried Pizza is American, as far as I know it was invented in the USA
I love when Donal & John like something so much I can no longer understand what they are saying 😂❤️
That's Charlie Kelly damnit! It'll take a DNA test to prove me wrong. FYI milk steak is delicious
nateman79 They talked about the resemblance in the US election results livestream, and he has a shirt with him on it.
I know this is almost a year after the fact, but...Sarina says "meshuggah", not "my suga." Seems she's describing the pizza as "deep fried craziness" ('meshuggah', I'm sure you know, means 'crazy' in Yiddish).
"Leaky cocky" 😂😂
I absolutely love the two brothers, they're so funny lol
The lass in pink is stunning!
I had the great fortune to be Scotland as a Navy reservist and I gotta say, I enjoyed cock-a-leekie soup and haggis. Also got to see the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle. Honestly loved Scotland, the food, the people, the drink, the lot. Cheers....
Only someone who is in love with Michael would deny being in love with Michael.
as an American I am happy to random deep fried shit from other countries....I knew we couldn't be the only one
Damaged Dolly i know right lmao?
The only reason Americans deep fry anything is because of the Scottish that settled here. Of course they’re gonna do the same in Scotland
The Irish eating things is life. :) Nothing makes me laugh out loud more. Thank you Facts. :)
Scotch food is amazing! but the brunette miss is drop dead gorgeous! ^_^
The magic of makeup, I'm betting.
Who cares she looks good
Try harder boy
she is literally a cell and molecular biologist you idiot. fuck off no one wants you here.
Irish people try Filipino food
Tama yan, I support this as well!
Ok, I'm totally taken. Happily. But when he nails those accents... I forget. He's so good.
I love my country. But sad they didn't try white pudding :(
Hannah Strachan it's cause we eat a lot of white pudding here as well it's a staple of our fry ups , :)
static panda ah okay thanks :)
2:46 - His face when offered another deep fried Mars bar is the same one you get when you are told you won the lottery.
Where is de guy in the leather jacket gone? :(
Do you have a link?
Yea, he's on his own channel.. #areyahavingthat
Nadia Mohamed Thanks! :D
Are you talking about Leather Jacket Guy?
***** The one and only.
I love it when Donal and John are together in a video.
MESHUGGAH
BrianJJ666 thall
Please tell me she's a yid and not a shikseh! Pretty Please!
Try not to let your paradigms of human endeavour box you in too much.

oh no. donal and john are together in a video...again
i think my ovaries are about to explode...
buffalobillbuffalove never thought of it that way, but yes.
The girl in the pink as she is eating the deep fried mars bar is hilarious! I'm suddenly craving chocolate!!!!
As an American, I approve of anything deep fried
Deep fried Mars bar...deep fried Mars bar...Sarina and Nicole's reaction is priceless
Haven't seen black leather coat guy in a while!
4gasem he started his own channel
+jose maciel Called?
4gasem it's called AreYa HavingThat
ginger psycho ^^
yea #areyahavingthat , as far as i know that's his channel.
Been wanting this for ages and it did not disappoint! Good selection and was pleasantly surprised to see stovies included. Could easily be a part 2 with tablet, irn bru, cullen skink, shortbread, and a decent breakfast plate with tattie scone, square sausage, and black pudding.
Why are they no drinking irn bru the whole time ?
Irn bru gets you through.
Facts has given me the ability to feed any Irish people that come to my part of America.
if Scottish food is as good as the Scottish women they are in for a treat 😂
😂😂😂😂
aye if you mean "in for a treat" you mean dealing with the most bad tempered lassies in the cosmos then aye fucking lovely. :)
michael keogh thanks! We are kind of awesome. And sarcastic. 😏😂🤗
bad tempered ! sarcastic ! I could not give a shit I'm Irish and love the Scottish ladies 😂
+michael keogh. I was with a Scottish woman before. She told me I was big as a horse so I told her she felt like a sheep. 'When in France' I thought.
Do yourself a favor and pause it anywhere after he says, "If my heart had a face, this'd be it." BA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! Perfect!
WHERE IS THE IRN BRU
I would love to see them reacting to Black Friday shopping videos.
OK ... so how did that one lady just guess "deep fried Mars bar"? Is that just a stereotypical Scottish thing?
John Baugh yes. very much so
John Baugh it's meant to be, but I'm Scottish and I don't know anyone who's had one. I remember years ago a chip shop made them and because it was so ridiculous it got press so I guess it's came from that. I believe some chip shops will do it for you if you ask but others won't because it ruins the oil.
Well, they became famous due to the Scots that did eat them so, that's why they're typically Scottish...
John Baugh Yes it is!
Scottish, born and raised. I am so happy our food pleases you. Like us, we're not much to look at, but we surprise you!
Can someone explain me what it means when the blonde guy with the cap said at the end, I just couldn't understand 😅😅
Nadia Mohamed but are they gay or just one of them cuz they would be a cute couple tho
The way they behaved together, I thought they were a couple. That's not a negative, just an observation. Best friends makes sense too, though.
Eddy Vale look at the "Best friends kiss" video that me and Eoghan (guy with the cap) did for this channel, then youl understand why
Michael Begley oh OK well I already did but I just thought that you were friends as the title of the video said but I wasn't aware of the comments on the video, anyways hope you guys keep as good best friends, but I think you would make a cute couple (sorry) 😄😅😝
The Sharpsons are so class!! Love them contributors
