An old male friend once told me that from a male point of view a platonic relationship with a woman is just a sexual relationship that hasn't happened yet. He wasn't talking about friendships in marriage but the point remains!
I grew up a tomboy and having 95% male friends . Most juat considered me one of the guys. However, by hanging out w them so much sometimes they would forget I was there, so I LEARNED A LOT. One thing they ALL used to tell me is EVERY male friend will ALWAYS thinking in the back of their mind that one day they will have a chance. EVEN IF U SAY OTHERWISE. Basically...even if you make it CLEAR you arent attracted to them, you have no chemistry and whwthwr you have a bf or married ...they will NEVER EVER give up on hoping. And will still think they have a chance no matter the circumstances.
The study is right. We project onto members of the opposite sex what our beliefs are. Men can be friends with women and like spending time with them. But for men, under all this there is still the thought, “You never know…..”
If a man and woman can be friends without sexual tensions, that would be crazy. Or a miracle. And by friends, i meant true and good friends not acquaintances.
@creestee08 It has existed since the 80s with us. The ongoing friendship depends on the circumstances. My wife passed away a few years ago, but I'm still friends with my ex, her partner and family. It's never been any different as we always visited each other's houses, our kids are all friends, and still go to each other's family events.
Yes. In a very super rare occurrence, i guess a man and a woman could have a platonic relationship. The question is would yours be included in that tiny percentage. I assume you have read reddit confessions. You can literally read there real life stories.
❤Nope. Will not work. It will either end up sexual and destroy the relationship OR the jealousy/lackmof trust will destroy the relationship. Its best to just not do it.❤
100% Yes, in fact its super healthy! We are social creatures by God's design! If anyone tells you ya can't, they have some inner self reflection to do..
Yes they can be friends! The friends should be respectful and friendly towards the others mate!

My husband got involved with a female "friend." No more marriage. 😩

Yes, you can. My ex and my wife were already friends before we married. We all remained friends, even going for evenings out within a group.
Ooof. Its just a question of when.

I think it depends on each person. I personally don’t like it. I guess it’s an insecurity thing. Been burnt way too many times in the past.
