Mount Snowdon shows its BRUTAL side!

- Desparate to re-connect with nature after a long Summer of working the festival scene, we decided to gather a group of friends, travel to North Wales and climb Mount Snowdon.
A wonderful pub in Anglesey offered us a great welcome and overnight parking in their carpark before we set off for a day exploring the lake side of LLanberis.
Edging further into the Snowdonia National Park, we managed to find a quiet view point for an overnight stay before the highlight of our weekend - Clibing Mount Snowdon via the Watkin Path.
What happened next was simply both beautiful AND brutal in the same day!

It’s stunning we did it with our 8 year old daughter she wanted to raise money for st Michele’s hospice as her grandad passed away there, she did so well raising so much money up and down within 5 hours ! There were definitely a few points that we had to stop and fill her with more sugar but when she got to the top people couldn’t believe how young she was to of done it ! She has said never again 😂 bless her . Hubby has done the National and welsh 3 peaks so we knew what we were doing. It’s just a stunning mountain! Well done guys you do get hooked once you have done one !!

Reminds me of when we went up on one of my 1st ever videos. It got dark when we were still at the top so had to do the entire trip down in the dark with no torch. Never again! Glad they got back safe!

Cheers Sandy, they were a little late to return back down the same path as too dangerous in the fading light so they chose another route but the base they arrived at was then miles away from where we we’re waiting. They were fine but had to get a taxi back. Great to have you onboard- BIG love 🫶

We’ve never done this path, we really want to bath in the pools. What a stunning day you picked. Wow your pics of Llanberis lake are stunning. It’s so beautiful up there. I did with my son last year his firefighter he goes there a lot does all the mountains, it was on my bucket list and it nearly killed me I lost a couple of toe nails it took my son 5hrs to get me up there but coming down did it 2hrs so proud of myself and proud of my son for putting up with me, so pleased Lindsey made it its amazing achievement ❤❤

Congratulations. Lovely video. As a recommendation try Goatfell on the Isle of Arran. Get the early ferry from Ardrossan then a ten minute bus to the start of the climb. At this time of year you’ll get the mountain to yourself. ❤

We climbed Snowdon in May via the Llanberis Path. Not gonna lie it killed me as its the longest route but supposedly the easiest route.. Well done to you guys, shame about little Blue but hats off Andy for making the decision for the little chap 🐾 Hi to Lyndsey, well done gal 🙌

I’ve climbed snowdon twice. First time was the Llanberis path, its the longest but easiest in terms of gradient, your up on the mountain for a good 7 hours so need food. Second time we did the Ranger Path with our dog, Ruby the Vizsla, its suppose to be the best for dog but they need to be on a lead because of sheep. I highly recommend the Ranger path, we were up and down in 4 - 4 1/2 hours. The pyg track is also popular I believe. I think the Watkin Path is the second hardest I’ve go no plans to do it 😂 I’ll also never entertain doing Crib Goch 🙈

Cracking vid guys,shows you how prepared you need to be in the mountains! I’ve done snowdon 3/4 times now on my bike and never had it clear at the top. cadair idris is another good one to do and Pen y fan in south wales is worth a wander!

I tried…Even emptied my rucksack & tried him in that but it was too dangerous at that very last point. I loved every minute of it tho so I’m not too disappointed 😉🙌
