This is one subject we thought we knew a lot about but you did it again taught us a lot wr are going to try hanging to great job love the caulk stickers we used spray paint Chaulk but honestly that was a bit of a pain definitely going to Amazon 🤙🏻
We popped it a couple of times while it was drying to test it out before we got it right, so hang in there! This year will be another exciting variety!! can't wait
Of course I will be following along...I do a lot of dehydrating...jars with everything in them for soups...so you can add water and meat if you like. Have a wonderful weekend and Blessings my friend 💞
G'day Kacy. Good stuff. I have some popping corn seeds and I'm looking forward to growing it here for the kids next season. Not til the end of the year for us, so I have a bit of a wait. Really happy to be in a collaboration with you and I'm really enjoying all the videos. All the best to you all over there. Daz.
Glad you got to join us! This is very interesting to see all the ways people do things....always learning! The popping corn was fun, took some trial and error on getting the dryness just right for popping but it was fun. Can't wait for our new variety this year 😉 Thanks for stopping by Daz, I'll be making my way around shortly!!!
Hi Kacy, enjoyed your video. I’m like you I don’t dehydrated that much. However I canned a bunch of apple sauce so I used a couple jars and made apple fruit roll ups for the grandkids. Also the best thing I’ve ever dehydrated was onions but I wouldn’t recommend dehydrating onions in the house for days like I did one year … we all smelled like onions. Also jalapeño was one of my favorite. With the onions and peppers after dehydrating I ground them and made dust. Best seasoning on everything. You guys have a great day, Lisa @#moneypithomestead
I want to get where we do that as well, but we just don't have the room here right now. I will do more once we move and I have room to grow more. I'm using everything! Cinder blocks, raised beds, flower beds, towers, etc.
I've never dehydrated much easier Kacy, hoping to get a little bit into it some of the stuff looks like it'd be really to have to cook with especially when you're out of the fresh
Hey, Kasy! I had said I’d send you my hot cocoa mix recipe. I can’t find it! I’m sorry. I had to look up the difference between dehydration and freeze drying. I thought they were just different names for the same process. Take care! Stay safe! Prayers and Blessings always

If it's not clickable, go to hobby lobby (or your store of choice) and look up dressmakers pencils or tailors pencils. It looks just like a colored pencil, just works on fabrics and washes out well. I've never actually bought one, I've had so many passed down to me from so many people. You can probably use a white colored pencil as well, never tried.
No I don't. They just hang until they are dry, usually about a week or two, then it depends on if I have to hang anything after that, if they are in the way, or if they start dropping and making a mess. They don't usually hang very long because eventually they will collect dust and critters. Dried herbs, undisturbed (not crushed) will last up to about a year well.
I’m loving this collab…I love to dehydrate and it has been so helpful for me. I’m gonna try popcorn next! Thanks Kacy!
Yes ma'am! Thanks for stopping by!

I love the herb curtain idea! It’s so great that you grow all of your herbs!
Great dehydrating ideas and a nice way to dehydrate herbs as well as storing them.
Thank you ma'am!
Great video! I'm going to try to grow popcorn for the first time this year so I hope I can dehydrate it as well as you did!

Great video! I think popcorn would be fun to dehydrate. Nice job Kacy.
It was interesting to keep popping a little every couple of days until it popped just right!

Do you just leave the herbs hanging all year round? I guess what I'm asking is, do they go bad after a while?
No I don't. They just hang until they are dry, usually about a week or two, then it depends on if I have to hang anything after that, if they are in the way, or if they start dropping and making a mess.
