Menopause can be rough! I had a total hysterectomy over 20 years ago which sent me into instant menopause, obviously. I was only about 40 years old! Thank God for hormone therapy! I can relate to your weight gain. Fortunately, I always had jobs requiring me to be on my feet and moving all day so I didn't have too much struggle with my witght. That changed with retirement and then COVID shortly after. Age and COVID really did a number on my weight! I'm determined to at least lose the 20 pounds I gained during COVID. Down 10 pounds so far. Fingers crossed I can keep it up. Looking forward to your vlog about your menopause journey.
Hi ladies, lovely dresses as always! Rachel if you find your dress is a little too fitted in the hip could you just shorten it a little at the waist? detach at the waist and take some fabric off then re-attach. it might be a little wider at the hip then although of course it will be shorter. Just a suggestion. If you're happy as is, ignore me. You all look great! xxx
Great collaboration, really enjoyed hearing each of your thoughts on the dresses you made. Rachel, your dress sounded the most complicated of the three - you looked amazing in it. You are all really tall & always look great in everything you make, however I’m at the other end of the scale 5ft 2 & a bit now & older than all of you (72) & rarely wear sleeveless things re bingo wings (don’t get old girls 😂🤣😂). It was really encouraging to hear how you all got over certain issues when making the dresses. Love the fabrics you all chose, they are just beautiful. 👏👏👏
Great choice of fabric and dresses for you all. I love the Vicki Sews pattern on Tamlyn and Rachel‘s dress looks stunning, but I am obsessed with the fabric for Ruan’s dress❤ those colors just look amazing on her😍
Unlike my daughter, I’m not an animal print ‘tragic’, BUT OMG, I love, love love the print you’re wearing. Thank you for the link, we’ll be eating baked beans on toast for a week by the rime I buy it and get it here to Oz, but meh! 😅 🌹❤️
Hi girls, well what beautiful dresses, the style and fabrics are stunning. If I had to choose the one I would defintely make would be Rachel's as I feel it is more my style, but as always you dont think you would suit a style of dress, but when it is made up by someone else, it changes your outlook. Thank you so much for this challenge and I look forward to the next one. xxxxxx
Hi Jim and Angie. I am an infrequent poster but I watch every one of your videos and love them! I just want to wish you well and I am saying tons of prayers for Jim! Thank you both for everything you do for the raccoons. ❤️
I love all the dresses, beautiful fabric and great styles. You ladies inspire my sewing and challenge us to push beyond our fear of tackling more complex patterns. Bravo!
All the finished dresses are fabulous. I think Tamlyn’s fabric is my favourite and I probably would have chosen to make Ruan’s pattern choice but would have wished to have the confidence for Rachel’s which I absolutely love.
Thank you ladies for the detailed reviews on each of your beautiful dresses. It’s so helpful and interesting to have reviews of patterns (and fabrics) 😊
Lovely fabrics, great patterns.. you ladies look gorgeous, and you really inspire me to sew. Thanks! (Btw, Rachel - I would love to see you make the Mia dress some time. I think that would look great on you!)
Am loving all of your work, really inspiring and so great to hear how you grade a pattern to fit and what you would do next time if things don’t quite work out. I am hoping to make a dress for my next project. And like you just need to choose between three stylearc, Patricia rose dress, paper theory, Olya dress or Tessuti, Milenda dress. Have you made any of these?
I loved all of the dresses. Each one turned out beautiful.
Gorgeous dresses. Lovely patterns ❤
Wow, the top of Tamlin's dress is definitely my favorite pattern, would hide my arms tops nicely and the crossed string is lovely.
They're all beautiful dresses ladies!❤❤❤
