Dear Sir, thanks a lot for the valuable explanation. Could you please clarify the theoretical aspect of linear valve offset adjustment and zero setting of ECB as well (may be in one of your next videos). After going through the functionality of ECB, I suspect whether an incorrect valve offset adjustment also can cause an internal leak in the valve assy. If some of the valves are kept slightly opened by ECU due to incorrect settings, or due to a failure/leakage current in solenoid control circuitry, there will be a continuous internal leakage in valve assy, hence discharging fluid pressure needing pressure booster pump to operate more frequently. I'm trying to understand whether such kind of issue are possible. (PS: I'm not into Motor Mechanics. But, I'm curious to explore auto tech stuff as a hobby)
Checking of Brake oil quality every 5000km/10000km and changing it, will that definitely help to avoid ABS modulator repairs in future ?? Thanks for educating us 🙏
Thanks for your channel and it is a great resource for vehicle enthusiasts and students. I have a Toyota Prius 3rd Gen 2010 JDM. I have experienced that sometimes when i am trying to brake to avoid potholes on the road surface or road hump specially while coming down a hill, the brakes sort of loosen up and the car travels further and then brakes. (Usually double pedal to slowdown). Further, I noticed that EVSC does not indicate when the incident happens. Therefore, it should not be the EVSC activation. I have recently changed the ABS modulator. Originally it had a EA type (It was also a replaced one by the previous owner) but had to replace with EB. I am not sure whether this was begun after the change. I found out there were several posts in the internet on same issue but could not found a proper answer (seems to be a common issue). Also there are information regarding recall for Prius 2010 regarding a problem with the regenerative braking system a software glitch. Anyway I will not be able to get a software update since this is a JDM and no way to find whether this is updated or not as Toyota, Sri Lanka not liable for JDM models. However I am a bit worried and want some help as to how to solve this issue as it could be catastrophic (Safety problem) in case of emergency braking. I would regretful if you could help me on this (already emailed to you) and describe in a video on your channel.
@@amaljinadasa6695 It is mentioned in the unit /part so I do not agree with you. I agree that we can find the exact part # against the frame but at a high cost (more that tripled than the used one). However, original brand new part is always better.
@@amaljinadasa6695 I know it there is the part#. and EA, EB thing is also there. Mine is not a serious issue as I explained. May be I can help you with finding a recon unit. Please let me know then I can send you the contact. To answer your "Gon Part". I do not know who are Japan Experts. Nobody were able to answer my issue even the local Toyota and no one has clear understanding (I am not talking personals like Nuwan Madanayake/Lal Alawatta). We are suffering as we use JDM models here.
First check the accumulater motor brush contacts are ok, then next scaning and check the accumulater pressure is ok or abnormal ,.if it is abnormal (value below 3v in sensor output ) have to replace the accumulater or buster pum assembly ..
