I loved Book Lovers. The MC's work in the publishing industry and it's a spin on the 'small town romance ' trope.
A literal Pelaton 'spin' lol
Funny story is my fav emily henry!’ Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Maybe a vlog where you read all her books in a time period would be fun😄
I loved Book Lovers. The small town vibes were EVERYTHING. My favorite Emily Henry! Did not really like Happy Place, but I hope you like it!
I loved The Inheritance Games trilogy!! I'm excited to see what you think about it!
I just finished Rise of Empire by Sullivan yesterday. Seriously can't get enough of Hadrian and Royce.
Yay for an Emily Henry summer!! I just read Funny Story and loved it! The Inheritance Games was so fun too. For this summer I definitely want to read The Tainted Cup, Seven Days in June, The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi, Words of Radiance, The Ballad of Never After, Hello Beautiful, Miracle Creek, and then who knows from there! 😂
The Tainted Cup is really good! I listened to the audiobook on a whim (since I saw no promo for the book itself) and I was so glad I bought it.
The killing moon me too! Love her writing so much the cover is gorgeous! Can’t wait to read it too 🧡📖📚📚📚📖💗❤️💗📖💙💙📙🌷💛🌈💜💜🌈🪻🪻💞💞💓💓🩶🩶🩷🫶🏻🌷🌷💛💙📚📖📖🧡💗💗📙📙💙💙💙💙💜💜🪻🪻💓💓💓🌻🩶💞💚🩵💚🌈🩵🫶🏻🌷🌷🫶🏻🫶🏻e
I've loved Sullivan books. They really feel like home to me! I hope you'll try Veronica Speedwell series one day, it's a slow burn (I mean, multiple books slow) with a great tension and banter, and historical fiction.
Red rising just keeps getting better, I swear, just finished booked 3 last night… phenomenal
I’m currently reading the last book in the Inheritance Games trilogy and it’s so good! The first book was just okay in my opinion, but the second was INCREDIBLE
OMG the inheritance trilogy is SO SO SO GOOD! Now i feel like a reread!
I loved Five Broke Blades, though I don’t think I’d call it a competition book. More an assassin’s book with lots of romantasy. Though, everyone is keeping secrets from each other, so it is “may the best liar win.”
Yay! So glad you are reading Red rising again hope you love it and enjoy it 🩵🌷🫶🏻🫶🏻🩵💚💓💚💜💙💙📚🌈💞💜🪻🪻📖🩶🩶🌻🌻💛💛📙📙🌺🌺💕💘💕💛💛🩶💗🪻💙💙💜🌈🌈🌈🌈🌷🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🩵💚💓💓💚🩵🌷🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🩵💞💗🩶🩶❤️🌻🌻❤️🧡🌺💘💕💛🩷📙🩶💗🪻📖🌈🌈💜📚📚🩵💚🌈
Rise of Empire is a fantastic read. One of the only books I really couldn’t put down and read 300 pages in one sitting. Third book is even better with an ending that blew my mind. Enjoy reading!
AMAZING SUMMER BOOK HAUL a love it Regan and giving me summer vibes love it 💗🩵💚💜💗💗💗💜💚💛💛📖📙🌈💕💕🫶🏻🧡💙💙🌺🌺💘💗💗💛📙❤️🧡📚📚📚💙💙🫶🏻🧡🌷❤️❤️📙💗📖📖📚📚📚🧡
Your comments are always so sweet
Oooh, Five Broken Blades is so much fun!! The marketing tagline is a bit misleading though - I didn’t get competition vibes at all! Either way, I loved it and I hope you love it too! ♥️
Yes, I agree, the book description is a bit misleading but I loved it all the same.
Happy Memorial weekend Regan and clay and Matilda! 💗💓🩵🩵🩵🫶🏻💗💓💜💜🧡💞💞🌈💙💕🌷🩶❤️🩷💛💗🫶🏻🩵🩵💜💜💜💞💞💕💚🩶💙🩷🩷❤️🩶🌷🌷🌺💘💛💛💗💓📚📚📙📙📚📚📙📙📙📚📚📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Book lovers and The inheritance games are great! Very nice cosy reads
You should definitely do a video about reading and rating all the Emily Henry books. Also the inheritance games is such a good YA mystery series. You’ll really like it. Also there is a 4th book as well and a 5th book coming later this year along with a novella. Another thing golden son is really good! I’ve read the first two red rising books and they are great! I’m going to read the third one soon! If you liked the first one you’ll like the second one a lot as well hopefully.
I’m currently reading Happy Place, first time reading an Emily Henry book. I’ve been very impressed with her writing!
OMG! I love Emily Henry and so much all her books and so much! 💛📙📚📖📚💛💗💛📙📖📖📙💛💗💗💓💓💓🩵🩵❤️❤️💚🌷💜💛💛🩷💚🧡🧡🌈💙💙💞💗💙💙💚🌺🌺💜💜💜📖📖📚💛💛🩷🩷🩷🩷
Just finished People We Meet on Vacation and it was so good! Easy 5 stars for me. Ive also read Beach Read and loved it so I too will be embarking on an Emily Henry summer 🫡
Love your videos I find them so informative very engaging and you give some of the best suggestions on books you have me hooked on so many of your faves
I really want to finish The Naturals quartet by Jennifer Lynn Barnes; I read the first one last year and loved it, and summer is always my favorite time to read thrillers/mysteries. On that theme, I want to read more Agatha Christie (maybe finish all the Miss Marple books) and start on Dorothy Sayers. And, of course, the new Ashley Poston book; I finished her first two novels and now I'm OBSESSED.
Great list. I'll be waiting for the reviews.
I'm currently halfway through Five Broken Blades! It's been great! My favorite Emily Henry book is definitely Book Lovers. One of the BEST romcom books 🫶
Just finished Happy Place by Emily Henry and really enjoyed it. It may not have been my favorite overall plot (I think I liked book lovers the best) but I enjoyed the two main characters probably the most out of all her books that I’ve read so far.
So excited to hear what you think of Certain Dark Things. I enjoyed it, not amazing but very good
Book lovers is my favorite!
Ues! With summer coming, I am also in the mood to pick up some contemporary adult romance; I'm getting a bunch of Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez books from the library. I just started Book Lovers yesterday and am intrigued by what I've read so far, so I'm hoping for the best.
If you like fake dating books, I recommend Boyfriend Material, and its sequel, Husband Material by Alexis Hall.
I am just going to continue to knock out my TBR. My goal is to at least finish all the unread physical books I own, and knock out some on my Kindle.
I want to get at least one Emily Henry book in as well and then also finish the Throne of Glass series because I’m at the really chunky ones and like you said, the summer is perfect for chunky fantasy
The Killing Moon sounds really good, looking forward to your thoughts
How is your progress on the "Clay picks the TBR" books??
I do no like summers but I used to love the long summer vacations and because I would always go on a holiday for my birthday 😅
I can't wait for the spin off of the inheritance game😊
Have you read The Final Strife? I described it to my brother the other day and he was like “so it’s like Red Rising.” Only the Ending Fire trilogy is written by a woman and focuses on a young woman from each ‘caste’, so I thought you might like to read and compare!
Have you read the Hardcastle Mysteries by T.E. Kinsey ?- very fun cozy mystery series. I'm hooked!
I’m am hoping to get to a few books this summer which are A Million Junes by Emily Henry, When in Rome and Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams, The Cheat Sheet, and The Rule Book also by Sarah Adams (this might be a Sarah Adams summer for me) Better Than the Movies and The Do-Over by Lynn Painter, The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and A Deal with the Elf king by Elise Kova. I might also read a few sequels I need to finish as well but who knows.
I have one very trusted friend nudge me to read Red Rising like every few months. I'm going to have to give in eventually. So hopefully the series *does* improve with each volume, as has been suggested to you. Fingers crossed for both our sakes 😅
Definitely some great picks for summer reading!!!
red rising gets so good😭
The Killing Moon was amazing. Not quite The Fifth Season tier but amazing nonetheless. I'm just about to read The Shadowed Sun for June :)
I enjoyed 5 Broken Blades. It was fast action and fun
I'm half way through book lover, and its about this girl who is s publisher, and her sister is pregnent, but they wind up taking a vacation in a "small town" (they're from nyc) and the sister is obsessed with Hallmark like stories/movies. its just a slow burn, I think im almost on page 200 and its just meh to me, but it was my first Henry book and I read it after Asher, and I loved Asher's book. it was just meh to me, so i want to see what you think about Book lovers.
Im reading Mistborn, and i got it through the libary, my little shelves cant take another big searies right now.
Tiny spoiler just vibes not plot!!!!
I finished Five Broken Blades and I want to tell you something important!! It is not necessarily a competition… the characters are a team but they are constantly untrustworthy and all have their own motives for doing this. It’s incredibly character driven, all about the journey rather than the destination and the ending fantastic. I loved it but is definitely not a competition story!
day 1 of asking you to read the aurelian cycle x
Hey girl! Love your videos!
Love love love Michael J Sullivan's books❤
Can you update your playlist for your reading block?
This summer I will finish The Devabad series (Kingdom of Copper and City of Brass), The Will of the Many, Long Island and finish the Iron Gold, Dark Age, Lightbringer series continuation of the Red Rising trilogy.
Certain dark things is really good
The Killing Moon sounds like Minority Report energy :)
Did you say that the library in "The Book that Wouldn't Burn" is underground? Wondering if it would work for a prompt in r/fantasy bingo 😉
I'm just suggesting these to anyone if they ask. Jonathan Livingston Seagull or Illusions The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach.
Funny story I can’t wait to read it this summer by Emily Henry 💜📖💛🩷🩷🩷💜💜💜💛🩷💙💙💚💗💚🧡🧡🌈🫶🏻❤️📙📙🌷🫶🏻🌺🩷📖💜💜📚📚📖💙💙💕❤️❤️💕📙📙🌷🫶🏻🌈🌈💚💗💜💜💜📖🩷🩷💛💜💜💗🩵🩵🩵💚💚💚💚💚
Read all but three!!!
I see that you are back in dungarees. Noice!
Just to let you know, the fake dating aspect of Funny Story doesn't encompass a whole lot of the book. I really enjoyed it, and I don't want you going in with false expectations
I’ve still never read an Emily Henry book 😩
I am a list maker also.
Seeing you read Emily Henry and Jennifer Lynn Barnes is so cute.
Unpopular opinion but I thought the first Red Rising book was the strongest of the trilogy…
you NEED to read book lovers
Certain Dark Things was boring as heck. Good luck, lol.
I loved Book Lovers and Beach Read. Happy Place and Funny Story were awful.
The killing moon me too! Love her writing so much the cover is gorgeous! Can’t wait to read it too 🧡📖📚📚📚📖💗❤️💗📖💙💙📙🌷💛🌈💜💜🌈🪻🪻💞💞💓💓🩶💗💗💗❤️💗📚📚📚📚📚📖📙📙💙💙💙💙💜💜🪻🪻💓💓💓🌻🩶💞💚🩵💚🌈🩵🫶🏻🌷🌷🫶🏻🫶🏻
