Rocking' it, boys! \w/ For everyone interested: the song is in E minor pentatonic, the harp: A major. Look up a table on which key of harp can be played over which key of a blues song-they're different(generally)!
Fuck yeah, I felt it. Great work! The Led Zeppelin vibe went through me! Though, If i am completely honest, the guitar could be better. Just positive criticism, the video was great!
Takamimes are nice, played the 2011 Ltd. Edition at a local guitar place. Owner took it out the case and let me strum a G chord. Beautiful sound, shorted all over my Taylor...
music in Emajor, so harmonica in Amajor. To know wich harmonica to use in rock/blues, it is always de 4th note, so, it is the note right under the key note in the same fret of the guitar/bass. Could u understand me? Sorry bad english.
thanks people for nice comments its really an old video now but im surprised by how many likes it got, perhaps because of good harmonica player or the band choice- Led Zep etc. All i can say is that looking back on it, im sure my guitar could have sounded better..its not really best way to play this song, so i screwed up a bit, but thanks
Sounded good man! You guys were feeling it and that's all music is about anyway. This song is one of my all time favorites so anytime I see a decent cover I'm stoked.
wow thats pretty good i just started learning harmonica and i want to learn this song to play it with some friends, can you please give pointers or even the tabs for it that would be great, nice work once again and stay safe all
Wow nice stuff guys, I like it! I'd also like to know which harmonica you're playing here - i love that sound! Do you by any chance know which harmonica is used in the original song? Thank you!
Thanks for nice comments. I'll probably be uploading a slow motion movie for you guys who want to learn it. Please note, this is not exact (note-for-note) representation of what Jimmy played-it's just my interpretation. That's why I don't have tabs to this song. Thanks for listening, Paul
you guys were great! im trying to learn the harp currently... i have a 7 piece blues set (A, Bb, C, D, E, F and G) what key is this in or is it ion a chromatic? thanks!
Hey guys, many thanks for appreciation. The song is in the key of E,just as is the original.I am playing a Hohner Marine band harp which is an A keyed instrument but playing it in E (cross harp style).I have tried to stay pretty much faithful to Plant's playing but occassionally use octaves, that is , playing two notes eg; blow 3 and 6 together using the tongue to block holes 4 and 5,practise it ,it isnt too difficult!!. Also playing 3 draw but letting a little of 4 slip in gives the rasp. Sean.
what are u playing on the guitar; like a shuffle? is it with chords A - A6 E - E6 and that? cause I can already play the harp part, but I'm kind of a beginner in guitar.
Of course! Cross harp like the blues do :). Nice song guys. Wish I had a buddy to jam with. I do both parts, but all my pals are top 40 country (not even real country!) Time to relocate, or at least teach my dog to wail mo' better.
Guitar is in "E" you use the harp that is in the fourth tone of the "E", scale so "A" is correct. This is a fucking coool version guys .... totally faithful, but with your own touch. I love it ! ! !
Great interpretation fella's!
Really enjoyed it.
Watch OUT...........SWEET!
