This must have been one of the few times that the series dealt with a male character struggling to come to terms with a traumatic experience. Many of the female characters (Brenda, Kelly, Donna and Valerie) went through issues involving being held at gunpoint, harassment, stalking, sexual assault, etc. It's important to know that a person of either gender is not invincible when it comes to these issues. And I agree that Brandon breaking into Dylan's house was really stupid. Luckily for him, the gun didn't go off.
Agree as you watch the series the death of his father, getting car jacked, the failed relationships with both Brenda and Kelly etc. Dylan became more and more messed up. It was heartbreaking because Dylan tried to be a good guy, he was the one that tried to help Brandon and Silver on numerous occasions but he just finally reached his breaking point and got to the point where he honestly had no faith in anything because it seemed the more he tried the more fate would just screw him completely over with having terrible things happening in his life.
I love Brandon to death, but this decesion was not smart. Dylan could have shot Brandon. Geez Louise! He broke into Dylan’s house and almost got killed.
There was a lot of educational crap that didn't make sense on that show like when Kelly dressed up as sexy witch and everyone was on her case for wearing plunging neckline but no one gave a damn about virgin Donna basically wearing a bra as a top.
