I’ve lived my entire life with a crippling fear of peanut butter. I never knew what was wrong with me, and I always thought I was a freak… alone in the world… that I would never find love. Recently, I made the decision that I couldn’t live like this anymore. What I was doing couldn’t even be called living, so I started my journey of healing, and began to slowly expose myself to peanut butter and peanut butter related materials. A search for “inoffensive peanut butter content” lead me to this video, and when I heard the narrator describe my exact phobia, I finally felt validated for the first time in my life. Thank you weird history for saving me from my suffocating solace
Melted peanut butter is fantastic on vanilla ice cream. It makes this Dairy Queen-esque shell and it’s soo good. Once you mix it a bit it has the same consistency as hot fudge. Just dreamy.
A delicious peanut butter treat. Take 2 slices of bread and smear butter on on side of each, on the other side of 1 cover it with peanut butter then add chocolate chips. Then cook it like a grilled cheese.
As a diabetic, I can only eat the non sugar/natural kind of peanut butter, but I've actually come to prefer it over the too sugary tasting Jiffy. But I can only eat small amounts otherwise it upsets my stomach. There's nothing like a nice soft PB&J though.
my dad being an RN only fed us natural peanut butter growing up. In my mid twenties now and I can’t go near that sweet stuff with a ten foot pole without gagging LOL it just tastes so wrong😭 and nothing at all like peanuts

Correction: Peanuts originated in South AMERICA. You said South Africa, but then went on to say Spanish explorers introduced them to Africa… so that’s impossible. Not to mention the Incas created peanut butter prior to ever meeting the Spaniards.
I'm a smooth guy. PB sandwiches (With or without the J) are my go-to, but late at night, if I don't feel like making a sandwich, a spoonful of creamy Jif hits the spot! Oh, and how about a video on Marmite &/or Vegemite?
The army loves peanut butter in MREs. They pack it with fortified vitamins so they can say you got the right amount of nutrition. If you watch any vintage ration reviews online. You’ll almost always find that as most food has spoiled. The peanut butter is still perfectly edible. The lack of water and the balance of fully hydrogenated oils gives it amazing shelf life.

I make a grilled peanut butter sandwich on multi-grained bread, with smooth peanut butter, raspberry jam, fresh raspberries or black berries, and a few chopped peanuts or walnuts. Once you grill it in the cast iron frying pan, the peanut butter gets gooey. And, by adding fresh berries and jam, it elevates it to gourmet level.
People used to poke fun of me at work because I'd always have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for on my break. It goes with so many things, peanut butter with apples or bananas is another great. Also, a couple of spoonfuls immediately takes away hiccups. Peanut butter is just awesome! I'd hate to be allergic.

After a grueling endurance workout on my Rollerblade Macroblade 110 3WD inline skates, my favorite recovery meal consists of two layers of Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter (the one without the hydrogenated oils that also doesn’t need to be refrigerated) holding a layer of Aunt Sue’s Raw and Unfiltered Wildflower Honey, a sliced Chiquita banana (or whatever brand that’s available) and one of Smucker’s Blackberry Fruit Spreads (their sugar-free seedless blackberry jam is the easiest one of this flavor to find without going online), all brought together between two slices of Private Selection Wide-Pan Whole Wheat Bread. After working up that kind of an appetite, this sandwich really hits the spot. Mmm, so good.
What they didn't tell you is how crazy the Kellogs guy was. He thought that bland food would quell lust and stop people from masturbating. So it is totally understandable that he failed selling nut butter

Speak for yourself !! I grew up on Skippy PB, but after I matured and tried unadulterated peanut butter, I was won over. Peanuts in their pure state, with a little bit of salt, is unassailable. Others can add sugar and hydrogenated oil to their peanuts, but not me. Besides, how can you state that "nobody likes" pure organic PB, when it represents a significant portion of the market? Oh well.

Jif pb all the way for me. I actually a number of years ago did a taste test between it and Skippy. Suffice as to say jif won out. Then, recently, I found out why, on another UA-cam channel they say it’s because jif uses molasses in the making of their product. And that’s why it simply taste so good. I don’t care what they put in it, it is yummy stuff.

There is fix and Fogg has a smoke and fire peanut butter is a little spicy but they have 2 more that get spicier and spicier. They are the natural kind so not sweetened but I enjoy it that way, here we dont commonly have sweetened peanut butter

i used to love the US govt peanut butter, especially having to stir it. growing up though, of the store bough brands, i like crunchy jif with marshmallow fluff. Skippy sucked, it was too sweet. the peter pan whipped was an ok novelty for a bit, then it just became disgusting. nowadays i stick to Teddy Bear brand which has a smooth blend with no sugar and no salt.

Id rather eat the vanilla ice cream with berries and fresh fruit tbh, the acidity balances out the sweet vanilla.
Mixing peanut butter with slightly melted vanilla ice cream right in the ice cream container then refreezing it tastes awesome as well.

About 35 years ago I was friends with a girl whose allergy to peanuts was so life threatening (Her face would swell and she had difficulty breathing.) she couldn’t be in the same room as an open jar of peanut butter. We never stopped being friends. We just lost touch with each other.

I can only care for JIF Peanut Butter and, the Government Issued Peanut Butter they would serve in our school, ours had honey mixed in the peanut butter! Good thing, I can’t get my hands on that as adult because, peanut butter with honey in it sooooooooo addictive!

Why is this video basically promoting and telling people to buy the unhealthy peanut butter.
The U.S. is currently in a obesity epidemic and they are promoting junk food.
If you're gonna buy peanut butter make sure you get a jar that has only 1 to 2 ingredients.
The ingredients should only be dry roasted peanuts or dry roasted peanuts & salt.
