This tele is probably not the best guitar in the world but it's definitely my best guitar in the world. Haha!
I have played some great guitars, vintage and new and I feel very lucky to be able to say that.
Some of these were insanely good and some were just simply great.
There's only one guitar though, that doesn't have any flaws and does everything I need from an instrument: my Nr.1 guitar, my telecaster. Is it the best tele ever? For me it really is. :)

Yes please would like vids on all your main guitars. Cheers. 👍🏻🙏🏻
You probably dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all of the new series on Instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
@Branson Kingston Yea, I have been using instaflixxer for since december myself :)
mine is 1988 am std tele, 2013 LP traditional non weight relief.
@@bransonkingston600 Yes, we don't care...
Been playing for 30 years and a metal/rock head at heart since the beginning. Only now in 2020 I finally got myself a tele, a NashT63, and it's the best guitar I ever played. The sound is just beyond words. Can't believe it took me 30 years to discover the telecaster guitar
Congratulations Chris. I bought a Nash T63 in 2004, a great guitar with Texas Special pickups.I also have a Nash Strat.
welcome to the tele circle young man, but dont tell the other guiarists, having a good tele is almost like cheating ;)
What is this phenomenon 😂 same story, only it took one little country lick and it turned me and I've been walking this weird country road ever since. The music feels more authentic to the heart is my only explanation.
The neck pickup on that guitar is amazing!
Often people neglect that position on teles since the bridge has such a distinct sound. But you got amazing sounds out of it.
9 months for a baby to arrive, sounds about right :). Love it! I’m a huge Tele fan. Just subbed! Cheers
I’m with you 100%! I had spent most of my years as a strat and les paul kind of guy, until I got my first tele. Man, was I blown away!! Best guitar ever! One day I’ll have my custom shop. :) Great video as always, my friend. Cheers!!
Thanks a lot André! Teles are special. For us at least. haha!
Same experience here Andre...bought three teles in quick succession this year
Jeremy James awesome!! I’m gonna do some upgrades on my player series, cause I really love this guitar! Amazingly well built instrument... And then, one day, I plan on buying a CS. 🤘🏻
Thanks for this video! I have to confess that I'm not crazy about how the tele looks, and it was the looks that kept me indecisive with the tele for a while. BUT, it was the TONE of the tele and the variety of tones that could be coaxed out of it that kept bringing me back and finally convinced me to get one. Love your playing and the tones you bring out of your tele, as well as explaining all the cool features behind you tele!
Can't afford custom shop so I built my own and man am I happy with my diy #1 guitar! I even put a Fishman piezo system in mine so I can do the acoustic thing too
Love the Tele’s patina! Pure character, all yours. Amazing 🤩
Incredible playing Kris! Been thinking about getting a tele myself, great video.
Love it man! Some fab TOP TIPS in your video which i will now do, So thank you. I purchaed a tele 18 years ago, put it in a corner and forgot about it! Then i picked it up 2 weeks ago, de-dusted it.. new strings and now i cant put the dam thing down.. What a fool was i ? There sure is something super special about a Telecaster, Simplicity & yet so many sexy tones. .Congrats on your baby, Sounds awesome!!
Really nice video Kris. Great playing, and the guitar is sweet. Great to see your appreciation for a tele!
That’s a wicked sounding Tele. Love the No-Caster pickups 👍
Dude! That riffage at 5:28 is killer! Not really what one would think of as a “Tele type” tone and riff. But dang!! It pulls it off perfectly! Your Tele seems like a jack-of-all-trades Swiss Army knife guitar. Sweet!
Love watching this guy play,u can just tell by his facial expressions he loves playing his Tele,so keep rocking dude
You are an awesome player! And that is one of the nicest Teles I’ve seen or heard. I’m building a Tele right now and may use the 50’s wiring on your recommendation, thanks!
Love to hear about your Frankenstrat! That Tele is awesome. Your an inspiration sir. Thanks.
I see a lucky man who has found his lifetime companion. I like your guitar, it's very energetic. I myself am lucky the same way with my 91' RG. To me a player is not complete until he finds his very own special guitar, The one that plays effortless, the one that inspires, the one that feels like holding a treasure, the one you talk to and that talks to you.
One of the best things in life.
Teles man, just recently discovered them for me and it does it all for me, I just love it.
I want another one already....
Love the specs videos. It had to be excruciating waiting that long for the guitar to be done. I know it would be for me.
New Tele user here. Since I watched your video about the tele, it has been my tone reference since. Awesome video. Thanks for this.
yes, do more videos on your guitars. You provide very useful info and your skills are terrific.
I love your videos, man. I'm a Tele man as well although I'm a novice player, I adore my Player Series and CV Custom. Just hearing the sounds from your guitar is beautiful. Please put up more videos about your guitars!
Thanks man, I will!
I’ve always wanted a sunburst, but the butterscotch blonde looks so good
Really nice video on, probably the best guitar ever. it sounds beautiful and resonant and is a joy forever, thanks.
Thanks for all this videos about your Tele, i was thinking about taste one, and your way of play it really emotion me
Tele's forever. My favorite too along with the strat. Thanks!
Great guitar, Kris! Congratulations. I know the feeling. I have a CS Strat that I've bonded with in the same way. Enjoy!
I have to say, the relic'ing is quite well done. Very entertaining segment.
Well it’s “real life - playing live shows relic” so it looks different than artificial relic jobs. I don’t even think it should be called relic. More like playing wear. The only relic Fender did was thr weather checking and some minor dings. Cheers
Hats off Mate, extremely well done video! THX for the menton, it's been great fun to spec that one! See ya at lunch ☝
Haha! Look who’s here. Miss you mate and thanks for the help with the specs. Your knowledge is worth gold. 🙌😁
I'm headed down this same path, exactly. I got a roadworn 50s tele and I fell in love with the guitar so much more than I expected that I'm thinking about a custom shop tele with similar specs.
Kris I love that telecaster and after having to sell mine and my strat its jealousy inducing but yours has your tone undoubtedly and I love the way you play so yes for you it’s the best telecaster !
Nice tele, great sound too ! Both Pups sound great. Got myself a Broadcaster RI and it quickly became my number 1 guitar too
After 15 years of playing, I finally found myself worthy of an American built telecaster. I bought a American professional, two telecaster, roasted pine you know what they say. Once you go telecaster, you never go back. Oh boy, was I wrong about the telecaster this thing is an absolute beast! Nice looking telecaster you get by the way, I can see you enjoy it!
Cool to see you bond with your guitar like that! 😎👍
The 50s wiring mod is great and saves money buying expensive pickups - Great sounding Tele 👍
Yes I love that Tele, awesome sound. I also love your Frankenstein strat with the Tele pickup in the bridge & would like to know more about it
Hi Kris. A great presentation of a beautiful guitar. Very individual and very sympathetic. Thank you🎸🎸👍😃 greetings from Germany and The Cute Urchins. 🎸
As a Tele junkie, I love this!
A Tele is a do everything guitar.
Just subscribed to the channel!
Cheers Brian, welcome! 🤟
I love your style of playing, sounds great
Great video and playing as always! I just got a Tele for the first time a fews weeks ago. An American Performer with a humbucker in the neck. Used. I haven't touched my other electrics since. I didn't expect to like it this much! So versatile.
Haha! Told ya! :D Jokes aside, teles are far superior than most players think. Have fun with yours! :)
I love your videos, a lot of info and so much fun watching you knock out some incredible guitar playing. Also the owner of a Fender Custom Shop 51 Nocaster. A big fan ….Thanks Ben 🙏
Hey Ben, that’s awesome to hear. 🙌 Thanks a lot and congrats to your Nocaster.
Hi Kris - I am proud to support your channel. Don't let the other people that make strange/weird comments deter you. (Saw that under your Q&A people)
I wanted to share with you something I thought you would like; I know have two Fender Telecasters. The first one I bought in 2020 - it is the Mod Shop (not custom shop) that you can order different colors -It is in mystic seafoam green. The latest one I bought for my birthday - It is the Performer Series, now limited colors I bought the Classic White Telecaster (looks like a hint of yellow to me) I love them and also, they have the three-barrel bridge - it is really nice.
I do have other guitars Gibson's, Yamaha, etc. but I liked the Telecaster so much I thought it was time for another birthday present - although GAS can be bad for musicians - LOL but we love them. Thanks again Kris.
Cool to hear a vintage-style Tele sound so heavy. Sounds amazing.
Very good video that showed how versatile the Tele is!
The guitar sounds absolutely amazing 🙌🏻.
Kris, you say it's not you or any kind of magic but the truth is... it is you as much as the guitar; the formula is you + your guitar = magic. It's not the just guitar specs. The more stories you write with your guitar, the more you rock it, the more battle scars on both you and the guitar the more magic happens... Don't ever get rid of it and keep doing what you're doing. Love your videos!
Thanks so much man! I wouldn’t go as far as to call it magic though. Haha. Let’s say my guitar + me = my sound. That would be a huge compliment already. Creating a recognizable sound is something I was always going for. 😅
Lovely video Kris. Thanks
A telecaster lover deserves my subscription. Nice axe and playing man!
Thanks a lot! Ohh yeah, you’ll get a significant amount of tele love on this channel. 😂 Enjoy the videos!
I also got my first Tele in 2015, after a lifetime of thinking “I should probably get one some day”. A modest MiM Fender Standard. It has now become my favorite electric guitar, too.
Great tone, great look and you play it very well.
Yes Please! I would love a series of u presenting ur guitars
you made me fell in love with my tele over and over again.
Wow 😲 I really enjoyed this video that guitar sounds great! great! .
Great playing, love it. And Tele is still my number one. Use it in my Coverband for nearly every Song, it works.
That guitar is F’ing Gorgeous!!!!! I love the tone of this guitar!!
Great video, Tele is amazing! the real classic rock song
Love videos like this, going over the history and details of the guitar. I was gonna ask what the nut was made of, but you answered that already. I didn't even know they made them from micarta. Was that a custom shop thing? I have a Harley Benton TE-52 with a pretty chunky neck. Is that similar to yours or is it that fatter one? Would love to see videos on your other guitars.
You’re right
That guitar sounds outstanding
Congrats!
awesome guitar, and great play.. i liked the opening riff
I own a Custom Shop 51 Nocaster and LOVE it!!! Great guitar!
I bet it’s an awesome guitar. Congrats man! 🙌
What a nice sound!!!! makes me wanna cry.
Finally, found yer channel. you're inspiring, man. Thanks a lot....
Much appreciated man, welcome! 💪
Really informative great vid thanks!
Hell yeah, that intro playing 🤘
Your tele is a beauty, Kris! Can't get into my head how you dare throw her around like that 🙈😂😂
Haha! Don’t worry, I didn’t practice the guitar spin on this guitar. 😂 Once you know how to do it safe, it’s not that dangerous. I take care of my baby, I just don’t mind playing wear and scratches. 🤷♂️ I get older, why shouldn’t my guitar get older too...
@@KrisBarocsi like your guitar, your not getting older, just becoming a classic 👴🏽
Oh wow, that's a unique tele! Very nice playing dude. That tone at 5:30 punched me in the face...holy moly...from what song is that?
All the best picker's play Tele's! She is an absolute beauty. It reminds me of Keef's tele.
Everything about that Tele is amazing!
Outstanding tone 👍👍
Amazing sounding guitar 🎸 Great playing also. 😁
Thanks Stan! :)
When I buy a new car I always have the dealer bash some dents into it and scratch it up. Because "relic" is soooo cooooool. Making expensive new stuff look old and banged up. Yea!
I remember back between the years 2004 through 2009. My first electric guitar was a Fernandes Nomad Deluxe. A lot of my friends kept getting on my ass to get rid of it and get a real guitar. So I went to a music store and started looking around.Spend 3 hours in the store looking for what would be the right guitar for me. I found this Squier Thin Line Telecaster for $350.00. Played it for over an hour. Loved this sound and bought it. 11 years later, it's still an awsome guitar. Soon after I bought the Tele, the Nomad went back to California where it belongs.
thank you my friend, the tele tonality is amazing
Thank you!
Man I love your tele videos;)
And I love doing them. Haha! Cheers man!
Great vid! 53 Tele keeps coming up on all my searches, maybe its time to get one.
That’s a sign. Just sayin 🤩
Nothing is more badass than big, modern, complex, heavy tones coming from a vintage or really vintage-looking guitar like your tele.
Haha! I never thought of that but I think you might be right. I think you’ll like my Does a Telecaster djent video. 😅
That thing is awesome I could never get the sound I wanted out of a fender I love to hear them just not me playing one. Haha great video 2thumbs up
Don't set that down anywhere, I think I am in love with that Tele. Cheers from Ohio. Great playing too.
I fell in love with the tele too. I bought a vintage reissue 64 that is so good I had to have a maple board sister for it so I have one of thw 70th anniversart Broadcasters on the way (not the custom shop version, too rich for my blood). Nothing else seems to be able to get that throaty bite a tele has.
Nice video and nice guitar 👍 One question about your Tele’s hardware - does it have compensated saddles?
Thank you Kris, one of the best teles I've heard. I'm also looking to a cs tele purchase. Since you've tried so many different types could you please suggest pickups that sound the least twangy. The ones with a RSD bridge look intriguing. Nothing against country music, just not my venue. Thank you.
I have a 2011 deluxe Tele and it is seriously the most versatile guitar on the planet! I love that thing!
If hole in the beck of your Tele turned into a tunnel you can swap the neck and the hardware onto another body ;-) Great video wit a lot of paasion and I`d love to see a presentation of your other guitars.
Kris, that Tele sounds huge!!! Only thing is, think we need band videos... pictures look crazy and I need to see that action. As always, much love from Tulsa.
Thanks Eric! :) Unfortunately it's a cover rock band and I can't show any videos here on youtube without risking serious copyright issues... Welcome to youtube... duh
Take care man!
Kris Barocsi well then maybe I’ll have to make the trip to Europe... when we are allowed to travel there again from the US. Rock on man!!
God damnit that Tele sounds awesome, I am myself looking at the Vintera 50s, might get it for next christmas but I doubt I'll be able to wait that long ^^
Nice tele, Kris. It sounds good all the time.
You know that´s my favorite ! Cheers buddy!
Adrian Sardi i know buddy! 😁 cheers
Would love this to become a series. Always like hearing the stories behind gear.
The one I want to hear most about is about the heavily modified Les Paul CM that made a few blink and you missed it appearances in this video. Would be nice to hear about the work you put into it and the challenges you faced. How you went about adding the pickguard and routing the new bridge pickup. And an honest opinion on if it was all worth it. Would have it been better just to grab an Epiphone "Old Glory" to get basically the same thing? Does the personalizing of it make it that much more meaningful or special to you?
I guess the video kinda makes itself lol.
Sure John, LP CM aka Junior is coming up too. :)
Funny, I just came to your page to subscribe and check it out and I see the video on your Tele. Is this the same one in that video about Jim's video? That is one sweet Tele! Great playing.
Hey Kris, great video! Can you please recommend a budget Tele with a similar neck profile? I'm looking at Harley Benton and Earl Slick specifically but I'm open to any suggestions. Also, I'd love to see you profile all of your other gutiars. Thanks!
Sounds so good, blind test, I could definitely tele that it is a Tele.
Few days ago I tested a tele in shop here in Oslo and it was this NASH telecaster looking just like the one you play there on the video.
It was really something for itself!
I am 60 young and have been into many guitars, yet this Nash surprised me to the bonds.
Still thinking about it, by it or...but...I do not play that much any more...do some tracks in studio but no more live, so...
That one sounds fantastic too!
I had a Nash tele once. I sold it. I am an idiot. That will be my next guitar.
Not going to lie, I'm a bit jealous :-p It's a beautiful guitar Kris! Sweet playing as always and showing off the versatility of this awesome guitar. I'd love to see a similar video on the sea foam green Tele.
Thanks a lot! Yeah the Troublecaster is definitely coming up in this series. Stay tuned! :)
@@KrisBarocsi Cool, looking forward to it. Köszi!
I owned a Ibanez RG370 n used to love, then I got a MIJ Telecaster (same like the one in your video, butterscotch color). N gosh it changed my world. Best guitars EVER.
I sometimes feel my tele bridge pickup, a no caster, sounds more like a P-90 than a classic tele bridge one. What I love is that I can get amazing overdriven and distortion sounds out of it. I sometimes even think about converting my tele into a Esquire.
I just got a Squier Tele and just love all the different tones you get. It had a lot of good reviews and cheaper than the Fender. No need to spend tons of money to get that awesome sound.
Such a great guitar. Congrats picking the parts so well. I am obsessed with a Tele Custom Shop 60s. I can find on Thomann online, but it can't be shipped to Dubai. :-(
Cheer...
An eternal partner in studio and jams.
Awesome intro!
Kris... I may be wrong , but I think these guitars started out as white and they aged to butterscotch...we’re talking back in the 50’s...now they make them butterscotch cuz people love them...great video...I did not know you ordered that tele...great job...rock on my brother!!!!
ok Kris the Baroscistrat and the Tele in one day!? Whew..... A lot to take in but ok. Loved this and yes I would love to see a series on your geetars. Some jaded history to complete the tales?
Haha! Intense day, isn’t it? Cool man, thanks, I’ll cover my other babies too. Take care Steve!
