I'm going to admit that I kinda miss Mega Charizard X as a final smash if only because of how much I like Mega Charizard X itself. At the very least it had the potential to appear visually in Triple Finish, similar to how Lucario mega evolves for Aura Storm or Greninja becomes Ash-Greninja for Secret Ninja Attack, but ah well, can't win them all. But hey, Masked Dedede is here, that's a plus!

With their removal, it feels like the player has less control over the fighter, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, final smashes are one of the few things i dislike about ultimate. They were so more varied, creative and interesting in brawl. Now, most of them are just press button and trigger cutscene. Homogenizing final smashes for the sake of balance is idiotic. They are inherently unbalanced, chaotic items, and they should be epic and powerful. Don't like em, then disable smash balls.

Yeah, final smashes are one of the few things i dislike about ultimate.
They were so more varied, creative and interesting in brawl.
Now, most of them are just press button and trigger cutscene. Homogenizing final smashes for the sake of balance is idiotic. They are inherently unbalanced, chaotic items, and they should be epic and powerful. Don't like em, then disable smash balls.
Im just sticking with the idea that Nintendo decided to be lazy pieces of shit with their final smashes.

They're still not balanced that well in Ultimate. Rosalina's is piss-weak, whilst Zelda's is an automatic death sentence.
