Have you thought about lowering your bunks to make it easier to unload in shallow water? I put HDPE boards on top of my bunks. It's super slick won't scratch your boat ant you never have to carpet bunks again.
Thank you. And does the 9.8 motor would it get you on plane with two adults or would it plow the water instead ? Do you use an hydrofoil to control the boat ?
Please, how stable do you find it to be ? Tell me two negatives or two things that you would change ? I am strongly considering the LT10 since the LT 25 is out of my range. I would order it with a CC
Honestly...finding a negative with this boat is tough. Very stable...the 25 has more room for sure, but the 10 for two anglers is perfect. Mine runs about 18mph with a 9.9 on back. I've run it through 2 1/2ft Whitecaps and made it back.
Pat, I am working with Pugar at Custom Gheenoe on a similar boat and wanted to get your opinion on the oar lock location that you chose. Have you had a chance to use the oars much? Do you feel like they are in the right location? How far are they mounted forward from the Transom? Thanks for the help.
A. Zane Smith I love the oar locks. Solid and very functional. I used them a bunch last season on some of my rivers, mind you it's not a DRIFT boat so I don't do rapids...but they handle very well and I can spin the boat around no problem. It's covered now as everything is frozen solid here so I can't measure exact distance for mounting.
My first impression is that the oars and high oarlocks are ideal for snagging fly lines, but I don't hear you complaining about that. Was it a struggle for a while to cast in such a way as to avoid that?
Charles Collins i try to not get in a situation where i will bang off any rocks with much speed. When drifting, Ive banged into things slow..its fine. Never under power though. Its not made to act like a raft.
well...it comes down to weight on the transom I suppose...I think the boat has more than enough stability...mine goes 18mph with my 9.9 and two adults...I'm not sure how fast you would really need to go in it...
Wow, gheenoe design looks to be perfect for my needs. With your normal load out with two adult, trolling motor, but minus the 9.9 motor, how deep do you think boat is sitting? Thanks
twinny5032 I will see what I can do....you can walk bow to stern while floating with not a worry in the world though...I walk to the bow regularly to put the trolling motor down and pick it back up....ridiculously stable boat...the beginning of the video shows me rocking it side to side trying to flip it
twinny5032 it's rated for 675lbs...2 adults is the recommendation...i don't see why it wouldn't be ok..but I'm not an expert on children in the boat...the LT25 is the next step up....i would contact customgheenoe.com and speak with them about it honestly.
My buddy had an older 15 that I fished out of. The new LT10 is a much more stable and solid boat in my opinion. It was a high sider I believe he had. I actually felt every bump through the floor.
I am planning on getting the lt25 glad to see yours.
Pretty boat pat!!
That thing is so cool, one day haha one day
Why did you get the low tide instead of the high tide?

On plane...cruises beautifully with two...no hydrofoil

Pat, Thanks for the reply. My boat is finally in and Im looking to purchase oars. How did the adjustable ones in your video hold up?
Actually really good..I wasnt sure about them, but i am pleased.

Honestly not an issue at all. I tend to keep fly line bunched up on the deck.
how much does this setup cost? if the back motor is gone, is it light enough to be put on top of a suv?
Joe Magnento you can definitely go without trailor if needed. The hull alone weighs about 140lbs. Brand new hull is about $2000
Have you bounced off any rocks in it? How has it held up?
Charles Collins i try to not get in a situation where i will bang off any rocks with much speed. When drifting, Ive banged into things slow..its fine. Never under power though. Its not made to act like a raft.
I know it's rated for 10hp but you think it could handle a 15 HP?
well...it comes down to weight on the transom I suppose...I think the boat has more than enough stability...mine goes 18mph with my 9.9 and two adults...I'm not sure how fast you would really need to go in it...
they can handle 25hp 2-strokes

I've brought mine through less than 12 inches of water, I've lifted the motors and pushed in through about 8 inches
So I'm like 270. My fishing partner is 250. Would an LT10 be a no go?
You'll be fine. The weight capacity is 675 I believe.
Can you post a video of you walking around on the boat while on the waters to show the stability?

Pat Cohen I have two younger boys (under 5 years old). Would the lt10 be stable enough for kids on board as well?

Heck yeah. Nice mann. Where you from?

How stable is this compared to the 15.4 Standard

@@PatCohen Thank you, I have owned the LT25 am fixing to buy a new one. I was hoping the 10 was solid. smaller waters here.
@@feelfreekayakswildside8464 my current LT10 is for sale, email me. rusuperfly@gmail.com
@@PatCohen I need one built with the front Low Deck. Going with mid stick Steering. But with my back I need the low deck. Thanks
Crisp audio
Nice boat, but I can hear the pixels in this video
gheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenoe!
I can dig it but I would build one myself with the same specs. It wouldn't have the name brand but you could fake it for $2000.
