Horsesh*t! They're a Slipknot wannabe band. I can name 100's of bands with better identity and better breakdowns....yeah, Alex actually has disgusting, next level vocals but he's still in a Slipknot meets Hatebreed wannabe band. Try Gorepot, Gorecunt, Pestilectomy, Devour The Fetus.....amongst many others that go harder. Alex Terrible does not equal good band/breakdowns.

I forgot how fucking low alex's voice actually goes. like that low growl still has some voice in it so it's not just a gurgle. he genuinely sounds like what I would imagine a dragon sounds like if it could scream. not to mention how pissed that band is!
Try Gutalax. That's some unique, non-computer assisted vocals. Try their OEF 2014 live performance. If you desire, skip to 2 mins in and prepare for vocals that you actually can't explain.
@@KainiusTheGreat I can actually explain that lol. the guy is cupping the mic like all hell and doing the inhale pig voice thing most people know how to do.
also alex's vocals live aren't computer assisted. maybe some delay reverb and compressing in the mic which is pretty standard for any show really. maybe a tiny but of distortion but it doesn't sound like it.
autotune and other effects don't make you sound better vocally. it simple make's it work with the mix.
if you can't sing autotune won't do anything for you that doesn't sound like shit or a robot. autotune helps turn an amazing vocal preformance into a perfectly polished on for a perfectly polished track. some people don't like that sound and that's ok but saying it's worst is an argument based on nothing

@@CyclesAreSingularities Cupping, for sure, some pig vocals, yes, but those effed up clicks/cricket sounds are uncanny...like, I get how he does it but not many can do that and I've been doing these types of piggy/weird vocals for close to 15 years.... The one thing in this video that's definitely smoke and mirrors is his off mic yell...like, if you stop the music and tell the crowd to be quiet than yell, you can be heard loud and clear in any small to mid sized venue that lets death metal bands play (local venue up to, say, Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC).

No joke man. Honestly one of the more perfectly crafted metal songs in the last few years IMO. Simple, but effective.
Baba Yaga’s breakdown was good too. But demolisher hits a special nerve that’s sends you into a frenzy. Fuck with it haaaaarrrd

Ingested - Impending Dominance breakdown literally sounds like a Slaughter To Prevail breakdown but if you ordered it from wish.
Because Ingested is more Death Metal than Deathcore. They aren't entirely super breakdown heavy
if they make one in 2021 they have to add lorna shore-in to the hellfire
and then came Will Ramos and they all faded quietly into nothingness

wills technique and range is insane though, to replicate the sound Dickie Allen did in Unholy Gravebirth for breakdown is unreal
to me its just preference of how they sound...so id lean to CJ
and if their previous vocalist wasn't an abuser we would never heard of Will Ramos. He was just at the right place right time to be heard.

Lorna Shore shoulda been higher! Lol just my opinion! My neck is still healing from that breakdown! Slaughter to Prevail is always gonna get #1 breakdown every year. Baba Yaga for 2021! Lol
i disagree, i just think to the hellfire is a different level. just pure range of vocals and for me, it could have been such a messy song but they just banged it and for me they perfected that song in every way, i also love the pace of that song.

Love Crystal Lake... Their entire catalogue is crazy good. S2P are bosses. And Malevolent are MASSIVELY underrated. But, there's always mad love for Lorna Shore- CJ and Will both kill it vocally.
