Hesh isn’t made but he puts so much money in Tony’s pocket (and Tony’s dad before) he gets insider privileges as if he’s made. Tony’s crew are Hesh’s protection. Christopher being involved is setting the precedent he’s Tony’s favorite which causes a lot of problems in the ranks. A major theme to the show is Tony only follows mob rules when it suits him & ignores mob rules when it doesn’t. This is very common in the mafia & a main reason the mafia has lost its grip. They often fail to follow their own rules they created themselves to keep peace in the family & among other families.
