All good points on parental alienation. “If you have the money…..” But there’s a lot of parents who can’t afford a guardian ad litem or a psychologist, especially while paying an attorney and child support, etc. Most parents going through a divorce are either financially devastated or close to it. Couldn’t our family law system do better?
My entire motherhood has been a nightmare because of parental alienation. Every hour of every day is like living in hell. I pray for everyone experiencing this.
I give up . Have thrown the towel in. The justice system is broken. Haven't seen my daughters in 17months. Text them all the time but no reply 😒. Here in Australia there is no such thing as parental alienation. Or they ( justice ⚖️) are not aware in what these self entitled parents do.
I agree!! It is broken! The best thing to do at this point is contact your local agency and get a social worker in on this so that she/he can document all the goings on. Knowledge is power!!
My ex badmouthed me to my kids so bad they now want nothing to do with me. They spend months with her new bf. I wasn’t even invited to grad. There is a long list of things my daughter said that a kid should have no business knowing. One being” I never want to be dependent on a man, ever” I haven’t seen my daughter in 3 yrs even though I offered to drive or fly her to see me. My son I’ve seen maybe 20 hrs in that time. They were 14 twins when separated and are now 19.

There is a better way. Parental custody of children is actually a very simple matter to solve given the true desire of “What is best for the child”. We need to separate and discard marriage from family law as they no longer seem to be connected. Einstein said "Marriage makes people treat each other as articles of property and no longer as free human beings". We can develop protocols that confer (over time) equal parental rights and responsibilities,…..once parentage is proven. Children’s natural maturation process has 3 essential stages of need. A.The unconditional love of the mother from birth until about 7 years of age. The mother to have “thefinalsay” and to receive child allowance. B.The conditional love of the father, who takes his children out into the world, gives security and teaches social boundaries from 7 until about 13 years of age. The father to have “thefinalsay” and to receive child allowance. C.The friendship and respect of peers from 13 until 18 years of age. The child to have “thefinalsay”. If these 3 stages are not gone through in order, maturation is unlikely to be satisfactorily achieved and mental resilience reduced. This has now become generational. Such a regime of equal parenting rights (over time) would bind parents into a co-operative relationship, because (over time) each will hold the power of “thefinalsay” sequentially when they are best favoured to use it. Such family protocols would be the default position, (allowing love, courtesy and humour to prevail) but could in exceptional cases be varied by the court. Buckminster Fuller said:- “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete”. To alleviate suffering is worthy. To prevent it is divine, but thankless.
No it’s a long game. My ex is an alienator who anticipated a divorce years in advance. Before I caught on one had PTSD and the other 2 on the spectrum have maladaptive relationships. Since I am completely unacceptable and they are grown they get to decide that they don’t have a mother. I have forgotten about all the love, care and education I put into my exes children and wish I had known I would end up with no kids, no grandkids, no family. All I remember now is all the crap I dealt with, all the school events and support I gave to activities. I thought I was doing a good job. What I needed to do is sit back, do nothing, lie about the other parent. Somehow the kids were persuaded their dad was pregnant, present and a saint. I focused on my kids, I stayed until they were grown because the other parent was incompetent and there was nothing I could do to change my situation. The narcissistic dad reaps the rewards and if I show up I got treated like shit. I have had several therapists tell me just what this video says “just forget about it,” Move on. My whole life is a waste and most people (including here) don’t even think it’s real. Why should you be in pain to lose your family? They’re still alive. and obviously you must suck because you have been fired.
The lawyers in this are all about the money . How difficult is it to prove when one parent hides the child and blocks all contact ? After hundreds of thousands in legal fees and hours and hours and hours in court ,people do get broke . Its lawyers like these that cause parent alienation
These lawyers aren't psychologist. They don't care about the children ,they want to drag out every case . This is not a good session . Our system is so screwed .
Thank you

Thanks for this.
I wish these attorneys had also addressed how to combat false claims of parental alienation. I see a lot of such false claims in my practice.
This is a great explanatory video... but is there any chance you can mute that background music, please??
YES! It was killing me.
Same here! Lose the stupid music!!!!!
Otherwise GREAT info!
Thank you!

I give up too. It's all broken and being exploited
@@KevinManden I’m thinking in my case, a timeline with actual facts says it all. Wish me luck.

7:45 This guy has no understanding of Paretal Alientation. Stay away from him.
This video is horrifying and a great example of why these people get away with it.

Is easy to see who is the alienating parent how ?
Who is the abuser in the house .
The first attorney doesn't understand narcissistic parental alienation......maybe none of them do.
Lawyers jerks talking about a psychological problem above their League amazing.
PR is the biz of psychiatry not legal profession.
