I enjoyed the tt again this year 😊you can't help the weather but see some good riding ... we witnessed davo johnson crash first hand and thankful of what he and others walked away ....no fatalities is a massive positive 👏 at the end of the day they put it all on the line to entertain us so again thank you to all involved in the tt credit to all of you
*Massive respect to you sir.* Not only your contribution to the racing safety… But for taking the trouble to post these videos. The more we fans understand about the race, the better. I can’t thank you enough.
The TT was great despite the weather this year, so many good things happened, too many to mention. A massive pat on the back to the organizers and officials for keeping it safe as possible and getting the races done in the conditions, they deserve some praise. thanks for the updates
My first time attending the TT after 10 years of missing it due to working away, my best mate took me and 2 others and just wow. I was absolutely blown away, so much respect for the riders, the track side Marshals and to you guys as Travelling Marshals, I didn't realise just how much goes into it and without you all working together, it would just fall flat on its face. Amazing racing and an amazing Island, cannot wait to return and get rid of these TT blues haha
There have been accidents this TT both from the riders and the public and thankfully everybody gets to go home to their loved ones and that for me is a great TT. The racing from the boys and girls out there on the solos and on the sidecars were on another level given all the race schedule interruptions. Without the hard work and dedication of every single marshall whether stationary or travelling, ambulance and race officials giving their time to ensure the safety of the riders and spectators even during the lengthy delays and cancellations to racing either getting a good soaking or a good chill or worse, both, the TT can never happen without you so thank you thank you thank you, your service can never be overappreciated. The officials had to make calls that some may not have agreed with but at the end of the day no rider is out there to throw themselves at the scenery potentially harming or killing spectators as well as themselves and nobody wants that. Big congratulations to the new visitors to the TT podium and to those that beat their own personal records against the clock and the mighty mountain course, the elements haven't always been kind this year but it's part and parcel of the spirit of the TT. So here's looking forward to TT 2025 and not forgetting to mention the MGP and Southern 100 where once again the hard work and dedication of the unsung heroes of the course gets called upon.
Just found these videos at the end of TT2024 and would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all of you for everything you do! All the Marshalls do an incredible job, and the TMs especially with all the additional skills and training you need, dealing with all the tough situations you encounter, and doing it all from a bike on a live race circuit with the fastest racers on the planet, it’s the highest level of professionalism and very much appreciated. I think it might even have been yourself that helped scoop me out of a hawthorn bush at Black Dub during the MGP Junior in 2016! I went over the wall and was very lucky to walk away from it. I’ve been hoping to get back over to the island to say thanks to everyone involved in person, but never made it back yet, so until I can come over and buy you all a beer, thank you again!!
Yes, that was me. I remember that one well. I mention it it a video actually. From you I went straight to Glen Helen to pick up Andy Farrell who crashed the very next lap
@@tttravellingmarshals7207 😂 will keep binge watching to find that vid, we all ended up in the same hospital room, with Richard virmullet as well! (And noones onboard footage had recorded 😖🤦♂️) I did have that feeling embarrassment like being in the headmasters office too! Sorry for the disruption, and thanks again, will get over eventually to get you all a pint! 🍻
Amazing job by all TMs. Thank you all, not only for making this TT safer than ever but also for this channel providing wonderful breakdowns of each day, spectacular vision and fantastic insights. You all deserve a well earned break. BTW, to see you all screaming around on the last lap was the icing on the cake! Thanks!
Although the weather was crap 💩 it was good from my point of view. We had no incidents in sector 4, which is great. Riding was great, there was water seeping up through the road on my little section at Glen Helen which caused us to display rain flags virtually all week. Love the vids, keep them coming 👍
Massive congrats and thanks to all the TMs and race marshalls. Fab video series too, look forward to more background info and vids to come from the Manx and Classic.
Hello Jonathan, finally managed to get my IMC training this year and got a baptisme of fire. Both the Birchall exit on Mountain box and the unfortunate Tony cartwheeling thru the air at Bungalow, happend in front of me. To see Ben and Yves standing next to their sidecar, trying to figure out what happend, by the time we got where they ended up, was nothing short of a big relieve. The fact that Tony remained conscious after his crash is nothing short of a miracle, as you witnessed first hand. We worked as a team to the best of our abilities. A big thanks to you and all others involved in stabilizing the rider and helping him towards a total recovery. Cheers Jean Le Clerc.
Great videos hearing everything from the Horses Mouth is so refreshing to hear. Not just getting wrong information from social media. Brilliant videos keep up the good work
Quick one,im so glad you guys had an 'easy' TT. As you said no fatalities, and although there were some accidents, not as many as i was expecting due to the weather, thanks to all of the teams that make this race the best in the world, lokking forward to th manxgp nowand imay squeeze the southern in as well!
appreciate the insight and although we all want your job, we know how good you guys are at every aspect of the job. brilliant work all of you. RESPECT AND THANKS.
Interesting hearing your experience from the Bungalow. It's a classic "distracting injury". From that list the chest injuries were probably the most dangerous though in fairness sometimes these don't show immediately. It's very different being on scene very quickly after an incident to having time and facilities later on. Great work, love the videos, well done 👍
You guys were brilliant, despite the weather history was made, records were broken and everyone went home. The idea of a moto3 type class makes every sense as superstock and superbike are so on the limit now, you don't need 200mph for great racing.
With the wet spots and the water weeping up in the corner, surprised there were as few crashes as there were and was surprised at the speed they were getting. Seen the bits of Davo's off, and the rather well done one of Hicky's. Glad folks didn't keep y'all as busy this year. Thanks for your work.
That definitely needs fixing but goes to show, if you know it's there every lap, you can ride to the conditions and navigate it. Everyone managed to so well done to them
@@tttravellingmarshals7207 Yeah, there was no fixing the weep over the fortnight. I know of a few "quick fixes" but that only works in certain conditions (don't know if they pertain in that spot), and would likely have delayed races and practice even more, and possibly caused worse conditions if it didn't work. Those who've run the Irish roads were best prepared. Remember way back Cam Donald telling Micheal and William they were mad for not seeming to slow at all when sketchy conditions hit, and Guy Martin agreeing with him.
As a course marshal in my second year this year, this channel has been a great find and love hearing your perspective and some of what goes on behind the scenes. Glad the organisers allow you to do it and look forward to seeing more at the next races!
Followed the TT from home this year...first time missing it since 1999, really enjoy your vids....can't wait to get back across for Manx GP and then again for TT2025 (all booked for both already)......btw I still have the Travelling Marshalls book that was brought out in the early 2000s (the TMs were all on 2000 model FireBlades at the time of the book being written) a great read if anyone hasn't seen it before.
Once again..... thanks to your good self and All the TM 's.... and the whole orange army. I live for the TT every year, and without you guys it wouldn't happen.
Thank you. I love these road races. Sidecars are magical and all competitors are fantastic. Come across as if none have big egos. I must say I love the coverage on ITV4, I laugh at the chap on the start finish when bikes come past at mac. The young lady who does a pit walk before the start shows such respect to the riders but most take time to even say a few words. So many events one is unable to meet and chat with teams. My first visit to the British super bikes was an eye opener being able to walk behind the pits in the paddock, as I say so many events now one can’t get involved looking close at the behind scenes. Total respect. Men and Ladies enjoying competition at the highest level. Not forgetting the TEAMS even if that team is just family and friends, WELL DONE.
Really enjoyed your videos over the last couple of weeks. Thanks very much for the informative insight into your work as a TM. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of your videos in TT 25 👍😀
Couldn’t be there this year thanks to having a new hip. TT+ has kept me entertained and informed, along with Manx Radio, it’s been great! All being well I’ll be back marshalling in Sector 7 next year!
Another superb video, full of great content. I know Jack so 🤞🤞 he's soon on the mend. Ill be back at the Manx and hopefully bump into you guys (not in a professional capacity I hope). Keep up the excellent work 👏👏
I agree, 2024 was a great TT, primarily because there were no fatalities. The additional lap records and MDs achievements also made it very special. But most of all every rider is going back to their families.
Excellent job this year, a huge thank-you to all of you for your work, was really nice to see you guys riding around or parked up in convoy in the pitlane, and now have far more of an understanding about what the TMs do. I did see you in the foodcourt area behind the grandstand; was hovering/going to come up and say hello, but you were in full conversation with a lady with a very large picture under her arm. Anyway, belated hello! See you over there next year.
I’ve just come back from tt mate after 11 days and we was always looking out for no5 when you boys were out 👍got major tt blues . Keep the vids coming all year round looking forward to seeing them
Thanks For the vlogs. An amazing insight into the under-appreciated and often difficult but essential job that you guys do. Hope to catch up with you at the Manx GP for a selfie!!
Great to speak with you in Brunch in Ramsey, as I said keep up the great videos amd hopefully some of your shy colleagues will get involved when time allows. 😂 Stay safe, see you at the GP. Ian.
Well I watched it! And I’ll watch whatever you can share throughout the year. These behind the scenes posts are awesome. Thanks for doing it. Dave’s Obsession Engineering channel is likewise super for the behind the scenes of the wrenching and crewing side. Thanks again and hope to see you post again soon.
Thankyou for everything, great updates…..and what a TT…..👌👍🇮🇲🏆. Ps it was a great Senior race in the sun at ST Ninians…. At 10am , roll forward….Bloody cold at the prize presentation 12 hours later at the FanZone…but we persevered….😜
First time marshalling this year in Sector 8, I knew the TT couldn’t happen without the marshals but the professionalism of all blew me away and they do it all for the love of the sport, to keep everyone as safe as possible and to keep the best motorsport event on the planet bar none going, hopefully for ever. Proud to say I helped in a very small way.
Spent most of this video thinking there was something on my phone screen took me far too long to realize it was the little bit on the end of the pull cord on your garage down 🤣🤣
Thank you for the work you do supporting the riders and organisers at the TT. And thank you for the time you spend to make these videos. Your right about Obsession Engineering's UA-cam channel, one of my favourites. Saw your cameo on Lee Johnstone's vlog too. So, tell us which one of you did the wheelie out of the Creg?😉
Fantastic series of vlogs on this year's TT 👍 Keep an eye out for Aussie Super Twin rider Kev Stephens at the Manx GP and now also the Sothern 100. Ex NZ street racer who is competing for the first time at both events.
Hey fella I hope there is somebody you guys can talk to and vent after a TT because I can tell it’s a massive part of your life and you are emotionally invested which you should be but you guys need support as well.Hope your ok and take care of yourself and the content has been cool 🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love how you used Annettes photo in the thumbnail, such a lovely lady who lives and breathes road racing. You guys are great, still amazes me how many people are blown away when you lot fly past.😂😍
Pretty sure I saw you turning off in front of me, we exchanged a quick nod! Would have loved to have a nice chat! And well done this year to all the Marshals!
Plenty of content ideas. Interviews and stories with riders, marshals, mechanics, fans, police, safety manufactures (suits, lids etc).. Tyre manufactures. Discuss historical races. Ask for questions then do a response clip. Past accidents. New safety features. Other things to do on the island,. Also, safety info for riders in general.
Well done to the Marshalls! I'm new to the TT, despite the weather, delays and such, i loved it. Our mainstream media hate it, why? I'll be back next year .
Mainstream media think they are the only ones allowed to start a moral panic and divide the audience into opposing groups through their opinion pieces. So they resent a community of like minded people willing to take responsibility for their lives and safeguard others. Freedom of the press isn't necessarily Freedom of the people...
Hi, please pass on our thanks to all the Marshalls and we look forward to seeing you all at the Manx GP. Now get that bike cleaned and have a well deserved rest. VMT Andy.
Nothing officially. They had camera's everywhere and maybe caught some footage from a distance of us but never tried to sneak any audio from us with a mic boom, I guess due to the nature of what we potentially could be talking about
Anybody who has complained about scheduling or races being cut short is an absolute yoghurt. The organisers don't want shorter races or entire days with no racing but rider safety trumps any concerns about entertainment. It was an awesome TT. Every rider getting to go home at the end of it should be something to celebrate and appreciate. The racing was superb with some really dramatic moments. All made possible by the people involved like yourself and the hundreds of others like you. If anyone complains about scheduling or missing laps, maybe they should plough every penny they have and devote every spare hour they have for the next five years and get on the start grid. Plant pots!
You just don’t get the history of TT racing. It’s endurance racing not sprint racing. A 2 lap race without a pit stop is a result of the organisers not taking heed of a wet race day forecast and then go a day earlier instead. Wasting a dry Tuesday and Wednesday evening by cancelling racing too early was another mistake. You’re quick to label folk as yoghurts and plant pots, but a lot of people paid huge sums of money to be there only to see sprint races, cancelled races and a short senior. The problem as I see it is the new schedule of racing has too many races. Go back to the old one as everyone knows the Iom is not a rain free country.
@@ononewheellad I have to assume that the groups making these decisions have access to the best information - weather and track - and we know they consult with senior riders and teams. Hindsight makes criticising decisions easier - anyone can say "it was dry, they shouldn't have cancelled the session" the day AFTER the session. At the weekend it was forecast dry where I live, my wife put the washing out and we went out for the day. It pi$$ed down and the washing got soaked. Should she have put it out or not? That's the problem with British weather especially in the north, its unpredictable. It may have been Hickman or Cam Donald who said "if there is any doubt, its a no" when it comes to TT racing and weather. How many races in the "old one"? In the 70s, 80s and 90s there were the same or more races scheduled. So how many should there be? In terms of paying large sums of money, everyone who does that also knows its not a rain free country and there is always a chance you will pay all that money and not see as much racing as you hoped.
Regarding the MGP, shouldn't the likes of Kevin Keyes, Jorge Halliday have gone to the MGP instead? I heard Milky Quayle's son is going to the TT next year, should he also be going to the MGP?
Possibly yes. Works for some and not for others. Typically you do see far better weather at the TT and longer sessions as there's more light in the evening so you get way more track time. Also TT entries are free whereas you have to pay to enter the MGP. Depends where your priorities lie.
@@tttravellingmarshals7207 I was thinking more from the organisers point of view, had/have they done enough to get a TT entry or send them to the MGP first. Must be a difficult decision but when you pretty much need to do a 120mph lap to qualify to race, they need to be top quality newcomers. I wouldn't like a 120mph+ rider refused an entry for an unproven newcomer, unless they were a Glenn Irwin calibre rider.
@@tttravellingmarshals7207My first visit to the TT happened the last year than ran the 50cc. A mate and I watched at Brandish ( much tighter in those days. ) Those 50cc bikes were fast coming downhill.
Would it be appropriate for you travelling marshals to post footage of you travelling between marshalling posts just to show how quick you need to be up to speed on the course and filter through competitors?
Were the poor weather conditions to blame for Redmonds crash? I'm surprised by the list of injuries as the bungalow doesn't appear to be that bad a place to crash?
It was one of the poorer weather days and the accident happened on the warm up lap. The racing was then scrapped for the day as riders weren't happy with the conditions round the course but more so with the damp spot on the lower section. The mountain was drier but it was cool. Tony lost the bike exiting the bungalow and so his contact with the banking and fencing is what caused his injuries.
The kinetic energy has to be dissipated so if not in the brake pads or leather on tarmac/gravel trap the collisions with external objects and between body parts likely concentrates energy where dissipation is not elastic ie brakes. My record was 14 fractures including skull, spine, pelvis and leg, with collapsed lung and critical blood loss. After a couple of years, external fixation and determined rehabilitation, I'm going strong. So recovery is possible with critical trauma care and determination. If anyone will do that, it's bike racers...
Hey man, not a criticism, but im a Librarian and we have a lot to do with privacy. Im wondering if you might want to check in to see what your obligations.are around the riders and their injuries. You're probably way ahead of me on this and its totally handled, and there is stuff in place and you can just ignore me. Thanks for a job well done, im a big fan.
Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't post anything that hasn't already been posted publicly by the people of the teams or the people involved themselves. Obviously we have information of what's happened to riders well before anyone else as we're on scene, but I would never talk of those details before they've been announced publicly by those teams themselves
@tttravellingmarshals7207 I think you are correct however, from a GDPR perspective it comes down to the privacy policy agreed by the riders, so might be worth checking that because we are assuming that race control has sufficient cover in place. By cover I mean that the policy includes disclosure of medical information for racing and safety purposes, or maybe for continuous improvement of racing safety. I suggest that it is necessary to safeguard the event by showing a diligent approach to safety and transparency of the outcomes thus actual medical information over time. The alternative is that people make up what suits their purpose!
I think we all understand the TT couldn't happen without all you marshals, thank you for all the great inside info 👏👏👏

Well I watched it! And I’ll watch whatever you can share throughout the year. These behind the scenes posts are awesome. Thanks for doing it. Dave’s Obsession Engineering channel is likewise super for the behind the scenes of the wrenching and crewing side. Thanks again and hope to see you post again soon.
thanks for your hard work and great small films👏👏👏
Brilliant coverage and content all through the event. Thanks 👍
Fantastic series of vlogs on this year's TT 👍
Keep an eye out for Aussie Super Twin rider Kev Stephens at the Manx GP and now also the Sothern 100. Ex NZ street racer who is competing for the first time at both events.
Had a great time as always.
Big thanks to you and all the other TM's that make it possible.
TT is getting stronger thank. The TT Marshalls do a fantastic job hats off to all the men and woman.😀
Well done #5 , and all the marshals. See you at the Manx.
Echo your sentiments about no fatalities, That is always a very big plus to the whole event, Have enjoyed the content this last fortnight,
Great content , thanks for all your efforts.
Thanks for what you do for tt ,so I can see good racing
Despite the weather, been some amazing moments this year. Can't wait to get back over next year and thanks to all the people who make this happen ❤
100% agree with you. I don't ever want to see a fatality. So glad this year we did not.
The wife gets the brunt of it. After that, all the TM's are on a whatsapp group for support
Nice one pal stay safe👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love how you used Annettes photo in the thumbnail, such a lovely lady who lives and breathes road racing. You guys are great, still amazes me how many people are blown away when you lot fly past.😂😍
Great job..South Africa
Thanks for this great insight, really excelent video.
good vid on the channel of your job at tt keep up the good vid on channel thanks lee
Pretty sure I saw you turning off in front of me, we exchanged a quick nod! Would have loved to have a nice chat! And well done this year to all the Marshals!
Now which one was it on the back wheel out of the Creg 👌😀
#6 ;-)
The Classic in September… worth visiting
Be interesting to see some content leading up to the mgp 😊
Thx for your effort man!
Mainstream don't like the danger. They're offended by how dark you like your toast. They'll never understand the TT
Best thing ive seen for years! @tttravellingmarshals7207
Mainstream media think they are the only ones allowed to start a moral panic and divide the audience into opposing groups through their opinion pieces.
So they resent a community of like minded people willing to take responsibility for their lives and safeguard others.
Freedom of the press isn't necessarily Freedom of the people...
start telling us about bike prep and riding techniques how you guys read the roads . above all thank you from me and all my team
Brilliant thank you 👍
It was great to see Dom get a podium in the super twins👍👍😎
What about filming one of your training sessions? Or more in depth of what your training involves? Enjoyed the videos over the TT 👍
Yeh possibly might look to do that over trainig next winter
12:55 who's doing the 10 o'clock minger? haha
Thank you.
Hi, please pass on our thanks to all the Marshalls and we look forward to seeing you all at the Manx GP. Now get that bike cleaned and have a well deserved rest. VMT Andy.
When you do the final lap, what sort of speed are you doing? Are you going for it, going quick or just cruising?
Just cruising round. Time to wave back and say thanks
Amazing as always. Did the tm’s do anything for this Netflix thing?
@@davebridge5775 Were you at this years TT.?
I was not. Why is that relevant?
@@davebridge5775 I very much thought that from your post. Have a good day.
Whether your Dunlop or an unknown. You are all winners😊
Love your u tube channel .now tt with out you boys
It was a great TT. Glad everyone made it home.
Was a great TT this year hopefully be back next year
Compared to 2022 death tole, this was a fantastic TT.
Nice to know the truth and not just some one s opinion.
Like the good old day 125cc 250 cc bikes you mean
Like that yeh. A lightweight and ultra lightweight combined which was 125cc and 250cc in the old days could be Supertwin and Moto3 today
We don't have any footage. Honda filmed some this year though so it should make it into their video
