Excellent information throughout video. Most people who love growing tomatoes employ a strategy regarding variety selection, very much enjoyed hearing yours. In addition to similar considerations we add a long keeping (but hopefully also good tasting)variety. Last season we had fresh tomatoes keep more than three months after harvest and taste nearly as good as those we enjoyed in the summer. Way better than any store bought produce. Stretching fresh garden flavours into our long winter is our new experiment.
Growing Tom's up here in the North of England i only grow small fruited varieties. The larger fruited varieties need too long to mature and the season up north is generally too short.
Thanks for sharing. I’m new to South Florida and have to learn how to grow my tomatoes here coming from Pennsylvania. If you have any advice, I would appreciate it. Looking forward to growing my tomatoes and herbs soon.
I can highly recommend 'Black Russian' sliced and grilled for a couple of minutes on top of cheese on toast; I have grown it a number of years and the flavour is out of this world, especially when cooked.
Hi I’m from South Wales 🏴 in the uk 🇬🇧 I’ve cut slices of tomato 🍅 I buy from a shop and put in soil and yes it did work the trick I do is to make them grow faster is I spray them with warm water
Thank you for this super helpful video. I don’t have a greenhouse but do have a large poly tunnel - is that about the same as a greenhouse in terms of protection and temperature? Thank you!! X
Have you tried Craigella which is a variety developed from Ailsa Craig? The fruit has the same great flavour but the plant doesn't suffer from greenback.
