Wow what an amazing job just finished my dynamo table with your method bucket sponge long rails first!!! Got to say am really impressed with the turn out super fast!!! Also added penguin pro rails. Really makes it a challenge!
Just purchased and recovered 7ft Dynamo, first time doing anything like this, with your help it went surprisingly well. Thank you. I got small roller, liquid cement and spray adhesive from Walmart. I had to use pvc pipe and lift ends of slate by hand but otherwise used your method. Thank you very much for taking the time to record and post your video.
I purchased an old valley cougar table and this video wil come in handy very much when i go to put new felt and rails on Thanks for the cool video and tricks.
Great video. Informative and well done over all. Not a table mechanic but about to recover my table at home and for sure this will help. Thank you sir.
Just redid my first one. Good vid. I ended up trimming the sides flush and not folding any extra cloth under, except for the pockets. We'll see how it holds up over time! We probably cleaned a pound of glue off the surface of that Dynamo.
I hope it all works out for you. I like the extra security of folding the cloth under the slate. Also it raises the slate a little so the rails fit right.
What an awesome tutorial. Extremely thorough Steve. A true craftsman. Love the table lift. Work smarter not harder right? Question for you where did you get the two roller jigs that allow you to effortlessly move the top around?
I would love to see it closer up I have a weird pool table that needs to be redone it to three piece but you staple of felt down on the outsides and it's a wire ball collector never seen any like it
simple measure the table from inside cushion to inside cushion width by lenth if it 7 ft it will measure 40 by 80 home 8 will measure 44 by 88 over size 8 will be 46 by 92 9 ft will be 50 by 100 that should answer your question
I just brought a 2006 valley with damaged laminate on the side. Do you have any ideas on how to repair or replace it? The only thing I've come up with is ordering a replacement laminate sheet from valley online, but its over $250 with shipping. Is that the only way to go?
a local sign shop that does vehicle wrap, can print and laminate some very similar looking wood grain, from a pic of the good laminate. Much cheaper and easier fix.
@@PoodlePuncher Not exactly sure what 2 black bricks you are asking about. I think you are asking about the rollers that you set the slate on to spin it around. If that is not it, please feel free to write me again and I will try to answer your question.
Thanks for sharing this. I have a video about this also ua-cam.com/video/gVQLA99qvkg/v-deo.html. I never tried to stretch it the short way first but it definitely looks easier and I might give it a try on my next recover. It's not a bit deal but I avoid putting the glue right up to the corner pockets like that. The rails come out at 45° and you have glue on a little spot that could affect play like you mentioned regarding the sides. I could never find the roll on adhesive, can you tell me what that is?
Hope yall made it through the plandemic F J B , DOING MY SON A 7 ft united billiards table , it's the same as the valley table. Coin mechanisms is taking off , penguin amusement is where I bought supplies, you did a good job there , your table sells for about 5200$ and I think I heard you say you have 16 that's a big pool hall / I'd spend money with you

Purchase per wrapped rails is a great idea from penguin when you get your cloth.

They will come with the lift

Per wrapped rails are a great bonus when you order your cloth from penguin.
Awesome job
Thank You....
Tell me about the shims behind the rails, that you removed at the 46 sec mark.
Great video man. I have the same pool table was wanting to replace the felt do you know what size of material I would need to do the table
simple measure the table from inside cushion to inside cushion width by lenth if it 7 ft it will measure 40 by 80 home 8 will measure 44 by 88 over size 8 will be 46 by 92 9 ft will be 50 by 100 that should answer your question
If it is the same table it is a 7 foot. When you order the felt, they will have 7,8, 9, and 10 foot sizes.
Wish I could have seem what the heck you were doing!!

I have never had to deal with that problem. Sounds like you may have to spend the $250, I do not know of any other way.
only cost a little more to go first class

Sorry I don't know of anybody in that area.....
What cloth are you using to recover
Championship Tour Edition - Tournament Green
Hi what kind of cement you use thanks
Welbond contact cement, I get it at Walmart. The spray adhesive is a 3M product # 77, also at Walmart.
