An oldie but still a goodie. I like going back watching some of your older vids too. Great to escape into them in these tricky times mate. Stay well & safe. 😃👍.
Just come across your channel and subscribed straight away now between you and Criss Bamman I’ve got plenty to look forward to. I’m a inland fishing and camping guy cheers 👍🍻🇦🇺
Loving all your videos we are moving to pimpama next year giving us heaps of ideas Hopefully pick up a new boat once we are up there Would be great to head out together to get to the area 👍👍
Hello there new friend here..Awesome fresh catch. Hmm delicious.. love to it. Thanks for sharing you adventure. I subbed and stay connected. Greetings from Thailand
Great video 👌 I’ve watched it a couple of times. There’s just shit on tv so cruising thru tinnie camping fishing videos. Sorting out my own tinnie mods at the moment 1990? Savage 3.7m & a 15hp. Goes good for what it is. Being so small I really need to keep tabs on the weather for change. Tinnie life is awesome tho 👌 Anyho - keep up the good work bud. The vids are appreciated 👍🍻🎣🚤
Aus Adventure , years ago we would camp on the inland side of a sand dune island on the edge of Bass Strait. If in the mornings the water was like glass, we’d scoot thru the entrance & out to sea for a few kms. I think that was in an 11’6” Savage 🤣. I’ve just fitted a beach rescue/spare wheel/hub/wheel to my trailer making launch retrieve easy & less risk of getting bogged. Keen as. Cheers 🍻
Any chance u can tell us what area the first lil fishing spot was.... think im going to have to lower the floor in my tinnie so i can get box in and sleep on like ur set up is mint as!!! Question battery box on your rig.. is it in the rear or up the front?
First fishing spot is southern end of Moreton Island. My start battery is at the stern in front of the engine. My electric motor battery when I have it in is under my casting deck. 👍👍
Cracking early video fella! How amazing is our Queensland! Out of curiosity those yellow thing you tied up to while eating and cooking are they designed for that or if camping for the night etc?
Hay Paul I’m not sure what the moorings are for. I think it’s something to do with the town of Bulwer which is on the shore in front of them. There was no one there which is why I tied to it. Marine Parks or MSQ might be able to tell you who they belong too.
That's a decent trip in a Tinny! I have done a Cleveland to Amity over nighter in my 4.2m Quinny and thought that was a long way!! Did you sneak up the Rainbow Channel and then over to Moreton? is it a bit more calm and out of any potential wind that way?
Mate I just went next to the islands the whole way up. Crossed the south passage just inside the bar. It was pretty good conditions. I did plan to go for a surf at North Point on Moreton but wind, swell and tide were all against each other so I couldn’t quite make it for a surf. Thanks for watching. 🍺
Hey mate, how’d you go getting to Morton? I have about the same size boat and would love to do it but want to know how you went about it? What size outboard do you run?
Mate I did it when the wind was a South Easter and then run up close to the islands. Hardest part is crossing between North Straddie and Moreton so it’s safer when there isn’t a lot of swell. My motor is a 30 hp. It’s all about the weather and not going if it is forecast to be bad. 👍
Big adventure! Nice holiday mate, and good boat. 14ft is such a versatile size for this, and still cheap to run. Dart are a very underrated eating fish, and loads of fun to catch. Moreton island is still a fishing paradise and easy access. Great fun mate, thanks!
Cheers mate. That night was particularly noisy and I woke up a couple of times. Other times I sleep all night and it doesn’t bother me. The more you do it, the less it bothers you.
I use to only do dialogue free like this vid but I say a few things now. Its more work saying nothing at all. Bamman does good stuff. Thanks for watching.
Nice video ,makes u want to get out there ...... why should Chris Bamman have all the fun anyway.
Cheers mate. It’s all about getting out there. No matter who you are. Thanks for subscribing.
Great video thanks for making it! Looking forward to checking out the rest of your vids👍😆
Thanks mate.
If anyone was wondering I went from the Gold Coast to Moreton Island. Thanks for watching.
That’s a bloody long way in a tinnie
Hay David, yeah it was a bit of a mission but I’m hoping to do even bigger ones in the future. Thanks for watching.
Do you remember how long it took you and how far it was?
@@TropicalZooms About 60nm each way

Mate my first tinny was a 3.75m stessco with a 15. I use to do trips in that too but your right, you can get caught out by the weather.

Cool, what was the surfboard for??
I was on my way to surf North Point at the top of Moreton Island but it was too rough for me to make it. So I went fishing instead.
Great video , don't be afraid to say something
I do start talking in the later videos mate. Thanks for watching.
Nice one 👍

Thanks mate appreciate it! I’m running the same and want to venture out more than just off Bribie island hahaha
awesome video mate how long it took you from gc to morton Is
Thanks mate. It took a few hours to get there. My boat is fairly slow when it’s loaded up with camping gear. Cheers for watching. 🍻
exellent

How much fuel u use, im looking at doin the exact trip
I took 80L with me but only used about 55L. I get about 90km out of a 25L tank.
Just double checked my fuel calcs and was closer to 62L used.
@@AusAdventure sweet, i got a 4stroke 40 yammie so ill see what my fuel numbers are
What size tinny do you have and motor?? Great vid mate. I would love to see more
Boat is 4.2m Quintrex Topender with 30hp Honda. I would like to make more it’s just hard to do with a young family. Thanks for watching.
Aus Adventure your misses must be VERY understanding 😂
Amazing trip mate. Well done. Do you know what speed you run at on the plane. Looks like she fly’s for a 30
If I don’t have too much gear I can get 25knots. But 20knots fully loaded is the usual top speed. Thanks for checking it out.
Awesome video! Am just wondering how well you sleep with all that 'tinny slap' going on through the night? Cheers.
Cheers mate. That night was particularly noisy and I woke up a couple of times. Other times I sleep all night and it doesn’t bother me. The more you do it, the less it bothers you.
Living the dream...
