My parents left the Church when I was 10. As a young adult I remember telling my mom I was going to look into Catholicism. She responded with utter disdain “Catholic?! Ugh!” I was left feeling too embarrassed to even open a book. Sadly, it would take 20 years before I would. But when I did, the FIRST thing I noticed: NO, the Catholic Church did not start after Constantine! No the early Church was NOT the Protestant Church. It was irrefutable. I was dumbfounded! I had been lied to. I now think MOST people that reject the Church do so for reasons that have nothing to do with facts or theology.
Exactly! They leave for personal reasons! I know because both my oldest brother and younger sister left the Catholic Church decades ago! And they didn't leave for doctrinal reasons.
Jason, are your parents still with you? Have you ever asked them why they left the Church? Or do you have some idea as to why they left? Your parents are in my prayers. 🙏🏼 Please pray for my brother, Jorge (pronounced in English) and my sister, Diana. 🙏🏼
It’s commendable to explore Church history, but let’s unpack your conclusions. While the Catholic Church claims apostolic roots, its hierarchical structure and unique doctrines-like papal infallibility, Marian dogmas, and transubstantiation-developed centuries after Constantine. Early Christianity was decentralized, focused on Scripture, and lacked many hallmarks of modern Catholicism. Historical records suggest the early Church resembled Protestant principles like sola scriptura and sola fide more than Roman Catholic traditions. As for the idea of being “lied to,” history is often presented from different perspectives. Protestants reject Catholicism not out of ignorance but because they see departures from biblical teachings. For example, practices like Marian veneration and papal authority lack direct scriptural support, while salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and Christ’s sole mediation (1 Timothy 2:5) are clear biblical truths. If theology matters, why accept doctrines like the Immaculate Conception or papal infallibility, which emerged centuries later, as essential? The early Christians didn’t need them-why should we?
Indeed. Some of them are plain old liars. They were NEVER Catholic, since lying and trolling on UA-cam carries zero consequences. Watch their terminology. They will speak of services instead of the Mass, and sermons instead of homilies.
Why only the catholic people mocking why the catholic never judge anyone why people's hate catholics why when something it true the devil want to attack
I am a former protestant myself, and I am SO turned OFF by the behaviour of anti catholic protestants. I really have never seen such hostility in another group of people
Protestantism by nature is anti-Catholic, Protestants came out of the Catholic Church, and this happened when the Catholics at the time read the Bible.
Sounds exactly like a SDA. I went rounds with my dad for 6 hours when I decided to leave the sda church. The final thing that he kept saying about all my proof was "it was of the devil". What can you say to that? I gave up.
I'm ex SDA now Catholic, raised as an SDA from former Catholics. My mother didn't speak to me for 6 months when I told her I was becoming Catholic. She never accepted my decision and hope she reconciled when she passed away from cancer. She never stopped believing in the Eucharist though. RIP mom
Sorry to hear that. Definitely keep praying for him. We are recording a similar story on our channel next Sunday. That guy argued for a year with his dad before they stopped talking about it. Then, his dad surprised him when he said he was converting. :)
I never met anyone who hates Catholics more than SDA members. They blame Catholics for all the evils out there. Petty they don't practice their religion.
I always say the worse anti-Catholics are ex-Catholics. Bryan you have more stomach than I do. I pray for them. I got tired of trying to dialogue with these people. Sadly, I have family that are anti-Catholics (ex-Catholics) and they are very closed to listening. I pray for them.
The worst anti-Protestants are ex-Protestants. I have no patience for their arguments, The one thing hard about arguing with them is there is no such thing as a uniform Protestant theology. They can't even agree among themselves. One observation I have of them is that they are very focused on attacking Catholicism, but you never really find them saying "this is why I love my denomination and why this is the one all Christians should belong to." I've even asked, what church do you belong to and why should I want to be like you? I've told them, you want me to leave my church, but you aren't telling me what church I should leave it for. Honestly, many of them can't recommend a church because they don't attend a church themselves, have never found the "perfect church" that meets their standards. Or are so argumentative that no church wants to keep them.
@@Shan71097 You either learn what Catholics believe from faithful Catholics or you "learn" what Catholics believe from anti-Catholics. Non-practicing Catholic parents who leave their children's minds empty and void leave them vulnerable to other's filling that void. They will never grow up to be what you want them to be unless you teach them to be what you want them to be.

Sounds like my mom. Her family joined Mormonism about 50 years ago and most of our extended fam are still stuck in that cult but my mom, sister, and I all left in the last 5 years. However we've all ended up in different religions. The one thing my mom has never changed on is her hatred of Catholocism and ngl, her pentecostal shenanigans and her former arrogance when she was Mormon leads to her having no credibility and THAT was a big part in why I decided to consider the thing she hates the most. Fast forward a few years and I'm now a baptized Catholic.
There’s a lot of poorly formed Catholics out there with these stubborn attitudes. They leave the Catholic Church for Protestantism and or new age religions. But many eventually return to the Catholic Church later in life because of many people who were praying for them. How do I know this? I was one of them. Looking back, when I left the Catholic Church, it was like leaving a spiritual banquet to go to fast food processed religiosity. After my return, I now very much appreciate the Catholic Church and it’s wholesome and healthy full meal deal.

What do you call the woman who gives birth to you? Mother. Jesus is God. Mary gave birth to Jesus. Thus Jesus is the mother of God. It’s not rocket science. It’s simple logic. No where in scripture does it say that Mary made God, but it does say she got pregnant with Jesus (God).
I was invited to attend Protestant services by some friends of mine. Some of the members were former Catholics. They bombard you with all the anti Catholic rhetoric to try to recruit you to their church. Almost joined their cult but thank God I was listening to Catholic Answers at the time and I stayed Catholic.

I would be considered a protestant but recently I've been doing some research and I've been drawn to the Catholic Church, i have a question is there a website or anything that I should look out to make sure that I am going to a legit Catholic Church? Only reason why I am asking is because I've heard that not all Catholic Churches are the same. I promise I am being serious I really just want to follow Christ the right way
Go to the website of the Catholic Diocese of your area. They will have a list of the Catholic churches in your diocese. A real Catholic Church is in communion with the Bishop that has authority over that diocese. Be careful of sedevacantist splinter groups. They tend to be very cultish and display poisonous, irrational hatred toward the Church. I hope that your searching is fruitful. God bless you.
Thank you for the comment. Glad to hear it. If you just want to check it out, any Catholic Church should be fine. Let us know how it goes. God bless.

I don’t do many online debates anymore because they won’t listen. For some reason even if Protestants are respectful towards catholism. There’s Protestants I like but when I try to explain our interpretation They go ballistic and there’s an argument there’s always going to be an anti Catholic mindset deep down.

You know one thing that I’ve noticed ex Catholics is that they never really understood the scriptures if they ever did read it and if they did read it they were lost of understanding it so with that said because of their lack of understanding the scriptures they listen to protester because protester simplifies the scriptures and teaches them that salvation is easy to achieve by just doing a couple of things and that to me is lowering God down to a human and so obvious?🤔🙄😯😳
When a person is so blessed as to be given the truth, and then they reject the truth, and the living presence of Jesus, they open themselves up to hostility and demonic influence because they have rejected the truth. This is what makes ex catholics so hostile and unhinged.

He was using hyperbole (exaggeration) to show the scribes and Pharisees how sinful and proud they were for not looking humbly to God as the source of all authority and fatherhood and teaching, and instead setting themselves up as the ultimate authorities, father figures, and teachers. Paul refers to himself as a father several times in Scripture. “For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 4:15 KJV “unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Timothy 1:2 KJV

@TheBinaryWolf Jesus’ teaching is firm and clear regarding His founding of the Church, the infallibility of His Church, the authority He gave to Peter, the role of the Apostles, and the necessity for the Sacraments. The Bible was written BY the Church that Jesus founded, and FOR the Church that Jesus founded, which is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. ONLY the Teaching Magisterium of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church that Jesus founded has the God-given authority to bind and loose, to interpret Holy Scripture and the teachings of Jesus, which the same Church wrote down and has preserved for 2000 years. Anyone else is engaging in private interpretation, and thereby running the risk of misunderstanding, or even heresy.
It's so funny that they go from knowing nothing while in the church, to knowing everything once they leave because they have received the "Holy Spirit".

I have definitely encountered former Catholics like this. It's the most agonizingly frustrating thing EVER and probably a complete waste of time. No facts necessary. They just make regurgitated claims out of left field with zero evidence and run away. They are among the most UN-charitable of believers. Most frustrating is when you very charitably explain that you have a relationship with Jesus and you explain all the things with patience and facts... and they still insist you have no idea as if they have some window into your heart and soul. Maddening.
What is also maddening is when they ask things like, 'where does it say in the bible that Jesus started a Church?' Or, 'Where does the bible say that a man can forgive sins?', 'Where does it say water baptism is necessary to be saved?'. I read a recent comment where someone said, 'Jesus never called Mary 'mother' in scripture'. Unbelievable
@ I have yet to encounter an EO who behaved like this... but that definitely sounds rough. My parents refused to attend my confirmation. It's super difficult to know exactly where God is calling you and why and not be able to get others to see how completely amazing and true it all is. Blessings as you continue to heed God's call to His ONE church!
What she didn't realize that " in believing in the holy bible, is believing in the authority of the holy catholic and apostolic church, since the church put together documents to made the Bible.
I've heard these excuses so many times from family, acquaintances and strangers... I don't even care about them anymore, I just ask Jesus to have pity on them and guide them to the truth.
That’s all you can do. Pray for them and let God handle the rest. When they ask you a Catholic question, give them a Catholic answer. If they don’t want to be bothered, brush off your shoulders as Jesus said, and simply pray for them. Don’t force it!
Before my conversion, 50% of the Baptist church I attended were ex-catholics, including the pastor and the associate pastor. As much as i hated the Catholic Church, I was constantly defending and clarifying its teachings because they either didn't understand or they deliberately misrepresented them. For instance, the pastor once gave a sermon on transubstantiation. "God becomes man becomes bread." I told him after service that was incorrect, that his characterization of the Catholic doctrine is closer to Wycliffe and Luther. Either he didn't understand transubstantiation or he didn't understand the hypostatic union. (No I wasn't polite about it; sadly one of my many faults) When God gave me the grace to see that the Church is not just "not wrong," but is actually right, he and many of the rest in that congregation attributed my conversion to a "spirit of disobedience": I have a problem with authority, they said, that's why I wouldn't submit to pastor's authority and submitted to the papacy instead.
When one encounters a protestant simply ask on what Authority does she or he has that you should believe them. If they can’t trace their so called church to Jesus and the apostles then whatever they are debating a catholic is just an opinion. No authority from the Church is just a private interpretation which is irrelevant. The Bible says in 1tim 3:15 “the pillar and foundation of truth is the Church of the living God” not the Bible. And no scripture should be based off of any private interpretation. So this person is acting like it’s own pope giving irrelevant opinion.
I’m a catholic convert in OCIA. Former Pentecostal AOG. Every mass I’ve gone too up to this point 10 months in, it’s all about JESUS! The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus is King! He is the only messiah and he is coming back!
Amen! I had a Protestant saying recently that when he was Catholic the Mass was all about Mary. I told him Mary is only mentioned once in passing. A split second. It's impossible to be about Mary, so either he never went to Mass or he dreamed it. :)
@@CatholicTruthOfficial the only time Mary is mentioned at every mass is the opening prayer when we recognize our faults. We ask in that prayer that all our brothers and sisters, Mary and all the saints to pray for us. The whole mass is 100% about Jesus! We actually read more scripture at mass then we did at our evangelical church.
Those of us who defend the Faith on Facebook Groups and pages deal with folks EXACTLY like her day in and day out. It's frustrating, but as you say we must keep our patience and I put each one on a prayer list. I tell people all the time exactly what you said here. It's not our job to convert the unwilling but to give them the Truth and then leave it to the Holy Spirit Who Scripture tells us is the one that convinces, convicts and converts.
We have to remember somewhere someone honestly seeking Truth is following along without comment. I speak PAST the troll and directly to the seeker. I was an ex Catholic Evangelical myself for a few years but when I heard Catholic CONVERTS and their reasoning I sat up and took notice. As Jesus said whoever is of the Truth will HEAR His voice. Some will but most won’t and it will always be so. Praying is the most powerful weapon because it’s only grace that opens ears, minds and hearts. We can’t pry them open.
@@mrjeffjob " I was an ex Catholic Evangelical myself for a few years ..." I was as well for 45 years and 40 of that was in ministry focusing mainly on Apologetics. I reverted 13 years ago and have been engaged in defense of the Faith online ever since. My methods are pretty much similar to yours in looking past the trolls to the "lurkers" (old Internet term from the early days of Usenet Chat). But I won't engage in endless, repetitious bickering into which they love to get us snared. Scripture tells us that there comes a time when we have to shake the dust off our sandals and press on. As I said above I never press on without letting the person know they are being prayed for and putting them on my prayer list before blocking them. Keep on keeping on, Jeff. God bless.
Brian your voice sounds great. I have family who use info they got from their protestant and other ex Catholic friends to put down the true church and pick out its faults. Like we don't have Judas's in our church? These are just excuses to leave a faith that requires us to take up our crosses.
As a new Catholic, ex militant Catholic hating Protestant, I have a very hard time believing that these are former Catholics. I mean as a former Protestant, I knew next to nothing. I knew a lot about scripture, but when I converted I realized that everything I've learned was a sliver of knowledge on Christianity. Therefore, to see a blatant Ignorant "former Catholic" is too incredible to believe.
Our answer to that is simple. When the ex-Catholic was Catholic, they simply had a tiny fraction of knowledge and didn’t seek any deeper truths within their faith, similar to how you describe yourself when you were Protestant. That alone led them away.
Yes sir. Had this talk last week with an ex Catholic. Hopefully I did a decent job planting seeds. What I love to say when in arguments is how I was a cultural Catholic who became atheist and after deep search came back to the Catholic Church 🤭❤
I use to have a CATHOLIC table at Venice Beach CA. Many times ex Catholics would come and get in my face. I asked them the same 4 basic Catholic questions. Not one could answer one question right.
Reminds me that one Catholic said the word Catholic is in the Bible in Acts 9:31 but you have to go to Greek to see it. It's in the the word through out. Also that one girl reminds me of a discussion online, I literally gave her the Catholic catechism on Mary and how worshipping her is wrong and they said who cares what they say.
My experience dialoguing with some (not all) Evangelical Protestants: 1) They'll shout you down (there's no back and forth debate). 2) They'll completely go off topic mid-argument / debate (if you seem to be getting the better of them). 3) You'll have to back up every point that you make with sources, whereas every point that they make MUST be taken at face value as being correct 4) They'll engage in 'whataboutery' e.g. "what about the child abuse scandals?" or "what about the Inquisition?" 5) Occasionally they'll try to physically intimidate you (very rarely happened to me in fairness). 6) They'll resort to ridicule e.g. you might have a small (unimportant or irrelevant ) error in your argument and they'll amplify your mistake in a patronising way in order to discredit your credibility. 7) They'll condescend you e.g. "I feel sorry for you" 8)) One chap even launched into a hymn ('What a friend we have in Jesus') right in the middle of our conversation 🙂
I agree we need to do better at dialogue on both sides. Many of the comments I’ve seen on this video worry me about how Catholics enter discussions with Protestants and engage in similar behavior that you have listed here. Ultimately any group (even Catholics) have people who resort to these tactics. I hope you have better dialogues in the future!
it is a problem that goes back a long way. take Richard Bennett of "christians evangelizing catholics" fame. he was ordained a catholic priest in 1963, the year of my birth. but his knowlodge of what the Church teaches is so bad that if there were not photos of him offering mass, i would not believe he was ever ordained.
This is demonic influence and/or possession. That's the only explanation. I wonder what his reaction will be on judgement day... There is nothing worst on earth than "ex priests", whatever that means, since there is no such thing as an ex priest in the first place. Also, if you notice, at the heart of a priest's apostesy, there is always two major vices: lust and pride. ALWAYS.
Excellent video and advice. ❤ I have chatted online with people like this many times. It is so important to keep the facts to an absolute minimum. These are people like you say who can't take facts, in fact they don't read your comments! And they ignore everything that proves your position. Best to approach them like you would a small child. Focus on the bible and Jesus. Literally keep the comments limited to 2 or 3 lines. Speak about how your love for the Catholic Church is about loving Christ the way He wants to be loved. Short but sweet. You see they expect you to spew facts at them, which is what they think they are doing. Give them the only thing they don't see coming. How much you love Jesus and His Word. My guess is you will strike something and they will probably never talk to you again but they will doubt their reasoning and their facts. They will know that you a Catholic loves Jesus and know the bible. No point in spending your time with them giving them all the facts and proof that they don't want in the first place. Maybe I can find her on facebook and give it a go lol!
When she's challenging you about bishops, cardinals and popes and where we see it in the Bible, I would ask her where does she get her sources that "Constantine founded the Catholic faith"?
And it is of course completely false that Constantine founded the Catholic faith. Early Church fathers refer to the church as Catholic hundreds of years before Constantine.
After reading some of the history it took me about a week to become catholic. The Catholic Church is like a garden where you can find castles and flowers of all kinds
These people need to be called out on their gish-galloping and the term needs to be pointed out to them. That being said, I like fiery and spunky Bryan.
So true!!! It’s a prejudice. I didn’t know who Jesus was until July 2022. Then I was converted into knowing and loving my savior. I was led into the Protestant church by some people who guided me to go that route. They spoke very lowly about Catholic Church. They also made me feel very guilty, when I said, I just love going to the Catholic Church. I found so much peace looking at the crucifix, I just didn’t understand why so much opposition. Finally, God led me and my husband to study catechism, and we found our home in the Catholic Church. Fullness of truth. Perfectly balanced church. Love my Saviors church. Love my blessed Mama. It’s the church of Jesus Christ. The Eucharist is the most precious gift!!!!!
This always makes me so sad. It is easy to get upset with her, but honestly, it is the Church (and her parents) who failed her. I am a convert from Protestantism and one thing that I realized quickly is how easy it is to be a Catholic without knowing anything about your beliefs. I have exactly one family member who has any experience with Catholicism and she grew up in a home that was culturally Catholic, but not devout (probably the same situation as the woman you spoke with). Though she went through all of the Catechesis classes, she came out not knowing basic Catholic doctrine and is now a fairly anti-Catholic Calvinist. I pray that we can reform to make this less of a common occurrence. I think the new Catechism is a huge step in the right direction and I see a lot of other things in my local parishes that are good for this as well.
Why? Even Jesus who is Lord and God couldn't get through to the Pharisees and others who were not open to truth. There is only so much one can do if people aren't open.
I have been blessed to find your videos. I’m still a Seventh-day day Adventist baptized one anyway haven’t been going to church in months. I’ve had nothing but fear and anxiety the four out of almost six years of being converted from witchcraft of 17 years. I am leaning towards Catholicism but two things are hanging me up. Sabbath. I mean I’ve had fear with it anyway that everyday Saturday comes around I do something I was taught was against it I sin and just broke all the commandments which doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve just studied the sabbath and the New Testament the apostles even went to the synagogue on the sabbath as was there custom even after Christ ascended to heaven already. That and god says to keep his commandments multiple times in the New Testament. Then there is the state of the dead. And the dead will rise in Christ in the end. How could we be in hell or heaven or purgatory if the Bible says we rest in the grave when we die? Even the strong accordance says hell the pit those that are sent there the pit means grave. In the strongs accordance. I’m visiting a Catholic Church this Sunday maybe they can help me see or speak to someone. I already believe Ellen white is false.
My favourite is when Protestants state “Jesus is the only way and the light” like catholics never heard that before. 😂 and we need a fundy prot who probably only purchased a bible in their local secular bookshop in the past month to state that I was a fallen away catholic for many years and I can guarantee the catholic mass alone is more centred on Christ than a pastor led Protestant service.

Brian could you do a segment with Cameron B. He is getting a lot of flak lately. Chatting with you would help fortify him given how good you are at standing in the front lines
Just to be clear, it's terrible and offensive when non-Catholics say things against the Church, but the Catholic Church is okay with Catholics insulting those people back on a personal level, because they're wrong and you're right, right? I mean as long as you use the excuse "It's not an insult, it's just the truth...they're stupid and/or crazy."...right?
People should not be attacking one another personally or calling each other names to each other. Jesus called names a few times but it was accurate to the circumstance and not personal. It was more descriptive.
I know Roman Catholics do not believe in Christ's teaching in the Bible, but be warned that Jesus declared therein, "Call no man a fool [or "crazy"], for in doing so you are in danger of hell fire." To criticize someone for heeding Jesus' warning in Rev.18:4 is not short of being demonic.

@1Hope4All I'll pray for you and your family today at Mass.

The best thing we can do for these nonsensical ex-catholics is pray for them.
Indeed. Some of them are plain old liars. They were NEVER Catholic, since lying and trolling on UA-cam carries zero consequences. Watch their terminology. They will speak of services instead of the Mass, and sermons instead of homilies.
Exactly. It’s the best thing , and often it’s the only effective thing we can do for them. Let God handle this!
If Constantine started The Church, then he hopped into his DeLorean and went back to change everything from the beginning lol

🙏🙏🙏
I used to be an anti-Catholic Protestant. I hate the way I used to be so much that I confront those I meet online spreading that nonsense.
Great! Keep praying!🙏🏻🙏🏻
Most of them are the kind of Catholics that is not practicing catholic then they converted without knowing the faith
@@Shan71097 You either learn what Catholics believe from faithful Catholics or you "learn" what Catholics believe from anti-Catholics. Non-practicing Catholic parents who leave their children's minds empty and void leave them vulnerable to other's filling that void. I think the worst thing parents can do is to say "I'll let them decide what they want to be when they grow up." They will never grow up to be what you want them to be unless you teach them to be what you want them to be.
Dan Bongino reminds his listeners all the time that when discussing touchy subjects with someone who doesn’t seem willing to listen, continue talking for the “third person” who might be quietly observing in the background. You might not convince the unconvincable, but who knows who else might be watching? Good reason to stay charitable and calm. 😊

My ex-Catholic friends who are now evangelicals believe most of what this lady believes. Their pastors are even worse cause they teach anti-Catholicism at their churches. So frustrating!

What usually works is when I ask where in the Bible does it say to tear down another religion or try to get someone to not love God?
What works is when I ask was Mary born with the Holy Ghost and Can God be made by man when HE MADE EVERYTHING ⁉️
Creator is not synonymous with Mother. Mary is the mother of God. She is not the creator of God. God did not require a creator as He is infinite.
I was invited to attend Protestant services by some friends of mine. Some of the members were former Catholics. They bombard you with all the anti Catholic rhetoric to try to recruit you to their church. Almost joined their cult but thank God I was listening to Catholic Answers at the time and I stayed Catholic.
Your doing good, every catholic should do research and ask for answers to the church pastor before deciding to leave..

We believe this.
“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.”
Matthew 23:9 KJV
Jesus criticized Jewish leaders who love “the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the market places, and being called ‘rabbi’ by men” (Matt. 23:6-7).
“For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”

@TheBinaryWolf
Jesus’ teaching is firm and clear regarding His founding of the Church, the infallibility of His Church, the authority He gave to Peter, the role of the Apostles, and the necessity for the Sacraments.
That right there is a huge red flag isn’t it? It’s almost Satan’s way of perverting the idea of converting to Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit.

@ 100% - so frustrating!
What she didn't realize that " in believing in the holy bible, is believing in the authority of the holy catholic and apostolic church, since the church put together documents to made the Bible.
Exactly, we say this all the time. You can't put the cart before the horse. No Church, no Bible.
"God becomes man becomes bread."
I told him after service that was incorrect, that his characterization of the Catholic doctrine is closer to Wycliffe and Luther. Either he didn't understand transubstantiation or he didn't understand the hypostatic union. (No I wasn't polite about it; sadly one of my many faults)
When God gave me the grace to see that the Church is not just "not wrong," but is actually right, he and many of the rest in that congregation attributed my conversion to a "spirit of disobedience": I have a problem with authority, they said, that's why I wouldn't submit to pastor's authority and submitted to the papacy instead.
That's so very true and so very sad. Thank you for sharing.
Welcome home! And a big LOL! The protest was all about disobbedience.

That's right Brian, she just don't know anything, it shows through her reaction to your argument, she has no reliable source for her ridiculous speech
I’m a catholic convert in OCIA. Former Pentecostal AOG. Every mass I’ve gone too up to this point 10 months in, it’s all about JESUS! The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus is King! He is the only messiah and he is coming back!

@@CatholicTruthOfficial the only time Mary is mentioned at every mass is the opening prayer when we recognize our faults. We ask in that prayer that all our brothers and sisters, Mary and all the saints to pray for us.

@@mrjeffjob " I was an ex Catholic Evangelical myself for a few years ..." I was as well for 45 years and 40 of that was in ministry focusing mainly on Apologetics.

My experience dialoguing with some (not all) Evangelical Protestants:
1) They'll shout you down (there's no back and forth debate).
2) They'll completely go off topic mid-argument / debate (if you seem to be getting the better of them).
3) You'll have to back up every point that you make with sources, whereas every point that they make MUST be taken at face value as being correct
4) They'll engage in 'whataboutery' e.g. "what about the child abuse scandals?" or "what about the Inquisition?"
5) Occasionally they'll try to physically intimidate you (very rarely happened to me in fairness).
6) They'll resort to ridicule e.g. you might have a small (unimportant or irrelevant ) error in your argument and they'll amplify your mistake in a patronising way in order to discredit your credibility.
7) They'll condescend you e.g. "I feel sorry for you"
8)) One chap even launched into a hymn ('What a friend we have in Jesus') right in the middle of our conversation 🙂

What do you think about the Anglican church ⛪️?
True, true, true. How many conversations I've had with people like this. They all read from the same script.
Literally.
it is a problem that goes back a long way. take Richard Bennett of "christians evangelizing catholics" fame. he was ordained a catholic priest in 1963, the year of my birth. but his knowlodge of what the Church teaches is so bad that if there were not photos of him offering mass, i would not believe he was ever ordained.
Sooo true. We actually did a video debunking him. His knowledge was atrocious. ua-cam.com/video/GiXgg2NpESQ/v-deo.htmlsi=22mSLyQY0MiQCIig
ALWAYS.
They hated me before they hated you.
Amen!
Was this woman named Suzanne Spiers? Sounds like a conversation I had online recently.
No, but she's in that same Facebook group, and I've had several conversations of the same type with her, sadly. She needs our prayers too.
Amen to this Magisterial correct video!
I would like to know what is her you tube channel to report her for missleading.
If they actually study our religion and practiced it they would fall in love!
Or if they at least studied it honestly, they would have the myriad of strawmen arguments and blatant misconceptions they hold.
After reading some of the history it took me about a week to become catholic. The Catholic Church is like a garden where you can find castles and flowers of all kinds
A week? Impressive! Does that mean you joined OCIA after a week? Because a convert can’t just waltz into the sacraments of course.
@ in my heart I meant
Amen! We are glad to hear that you were receptive to God 's tugging of your heart, and we pray that your Protestant friends will do the same. Amen.
So true.
People Be careful of demonic spirits. Brian !!!
This is so true. 😢
We can pray for those who need to hear the deeper truth! Please do!
Bryant tried to reason with a woman and failed. I am shocked ;)
Why? Even Jesus who is Lord and God couldn't get through to the Pharisees and others who were not open to truth. There is only so much one can do if people aren't open.
Lol she's been flagged!!! Lol very funny.
😂 and we need a fundy prot who probably only purchased a bible in their local secular bookshop in the past month to state that
I was a fallen away catholic for many years and I can guarantee the catholic mass alone is more centred on Christ than a pastor led Protestant service.
That is a given, since Jesus showed us how to worship during the Last Supper. It is the truest form of worship!
@@glen-y8p you may have heard it, you just don’t live by it fundy cath
I’ve had a Bible my entire life…even when I was in Bible College
And you can’t guarantee anything so stop
@@jenniferboht961Hey, sorry your offended but the arrogance on your side is insufferable. If you don’t have awareness of that, hopefully you do now. But to confirm, i get more scripture, i get a closer and present relationship with Christ as a catholic than i ever did in one of the prot sects. This is true and will remain true in spite of prot lies.
@@glen-y8p we are the arrogant ones? We not the ones screaming we are true church, we have authority, you can’t go to heaven unless we say so…take the plank out your own eye…and consider your Catholic lies
As an ex SDA I can tell you that they feel the same way about me as you do towards ex RCC. Now what I feel is likely the similarity is whether we read our doctrines over/into the Bible or whether we let the Bible tell us what doctrines/beliefs we should take out of it. I don't have all the answers but I do know a few areas that SDA beliefs contradicts the Bible and maybe it is the same with ex RCC?
We get about as much hate and irrationality from SDAs on a daily basis as we do from this lady sadly.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I believe that.
it feels like her faith became fanatical not an authentic faith. This is common to the people I know converts
I forgot to add to my comment below. We all have one thing in common and that is: Jesus was nailed to the cross for our sins and rose again. And if we repent of our sins and accept Him as our personal Savior and follow Him we will live with Him for all eternity in heaven.. Why do catholics or anyone else get upset over minor differences in their faith.
Brian could you do a segment with Cameron B. He is getting a lot of flak lately. Chatting with you would help fortify him given how good you are at standing in the front lines
Tell him to reach out to us. We reached out to him before and he never responded.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial So like I said, "It's okay when WE do it because it' accurate, they're stupid or crazy"?
She sounds like some Northern Ireland Protestants I know! ;)
Someone said to me that nowhere does it say to pray to Mary and that.maybe they should pray to their dead dog. I didn't know what to respond.
It's sad that so-called Christians or ex-Christians do not know their history.
When you become steeped in history, you become Catholic!
🙏
Cardinals are not in the Bible. The Pope, Bishops, priests and deacons are. All a cardinal is though is a special bishop.
So you just answered your own question, did you not? Cardinals are bishops (priests can also become cardinals).
@@CatholicTruthOfficial It isn't a question. It's a statement. Just in case someone come along to say cardinals are not in the bible.
I know Roman Catholics do not believe in Christ's teaching in the Bible, but be warned that Jesus declared therein, "Call no man a fool [or "crazy"], for in doing so you are in danger of hell fire."
To criticize someone for heeding Jesus' warning in Rev.18:4 is not short of being demonic.
Saturday, you sound like the lady in this video. Thinking you know everything but knowing nothing. We can't even take your comment seriously as it's just a slander.
How to Revelation 18 doesn't prove anything that what you think it proves in no Bible scholar would agree with you.
O my so true
Lol, Keep it up😹 🙏🏻🙌🏻🕊
Thank you for your support!
I would argue it goes back to babylon....
Do you consider the Eastern Orthodox as Protestants?
Even though they share many of the same flawed arguments, no, we don't.
@ If they aren't Protestants or Catholics how do you identify them?
If the pope with agreement of the cardinals sends a LGBTQ cardinal to Washington, that church however old, is offending the rest of Christendom.
How many Protestant denominations embrace LGBTQ, etc? Isn't that an affront to all Christendom? People in glass houses . . .
Perhaps, but what does that have to do with Protestant invented doctrines that were never heard of in the history of Christianity?
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Easy. You can't judge others credibly while your church is led by Satan's agents.
Protestants only repeat what their pastors say.
Which ironically defeats Sola Scriptura. They simply reject the Pope and found a new false pope to follow.
@@evelynvazquez6034 you only repeat what priests and Pope says…so I guess we are even
