Very nice and detailed explanation. It is still working today while 10.2.6 is coming. I bet Bliz not gonna fix it, or they have fixed it already. Some ppl confused about sharing lockout and sharing skip. The only diff is that if there is any boss got killed while your main entering raid each time. If no, then you're sharing skip; if yes, sadly you fail on sharing skip but sharing lockout instead. To sharing skip, you need to open the "portal" before killing any boss, which makes the method in this video works ONLY in NH, BF, and HfC (I can't think of another one that open the skip before killing any boss). At last, Bliz fixed it by putting boss first and skip next. Therefore, if you don't need the mounts from these 3 raid, don't bother watching this video. But if you do, use this designing mistake to farm mount it's much easier.
I've been trying to do this the past 2 weeks for Antorus Mythic where my main has the skip, but whenever I kill the last boss on my alt and then go back onto my main, I get the pop up that the raid is in progress for 3/10 and if I chose to accept the save or not and leave instance. I leave instance, reset all instances, and nothing works. I go back in, same 3/10 pop up asking if I accept to be saved to group. I do not accept, leave, reset instances, and created new group, and the same issues.
Just tested tha mythic Antorus skip sharing in 10.2.6, still works. Not sure if you need to kill any trash to set the raid ID or not, but I zoned in with the skip alt, killed first trash pack, created the group, logged out, then in with the alt I wanted to get the skip on, relogged, invited, relogged, accepted, zoned in and killed the next trash pack. The logged into the skip owner, zoned out and left group. Killed the first boss, skip was available. Killed Imonar/Aggramar/Argus. Double checked the skip owner, no raid locks. Waited 20mins or so and the skip alt got a fresh instance when zoning in. Not sure if the 1rs or 2nd trash packs needed to be killed, but the NPCs don't do anything until you kill the first pack. Wasn't sure if the skip was activated with or without them, but figured it couldn't hurt.
How are you preventing a lockout from being maintained on the skip owner? You have to kill the first boss to get to the skip, don't you? So, how is it you're able to separate their lockouts, despite having to kill the first boss?
@@borga6566 I think all raids have a phantom raidID when someone zones in but with Antorus someone with the skips also tags that ID with the teleports enabled. And since they don't need to kill a boss, they never get saved. I think Hellfire Citadel works the same way. Not 100% sure if any trash needs to be killed. I always would kill the first pack on the skip toon just in case. The skip enable is also time dependent. I had to get something done after doing the Exhaust skip with an alt. Logged out, figuring I could just skip to Throne. Nope, was at the raid entrance and the skips were NOT active. Might also be some time needed to create the next phantom ID. I had 2-3 alts with the skips from doing group finder, so I just cycled them when using the skips on more alts.
@@DarthV506 So, just so I'm understanding your process for skip sharing on mythic Antorus specifically, you load in with the person that has the skip, kill a trash pack, and via premade group finder you invite your alt by using the same method in the video? And once you've logged into your alt who now has the skip lockout for themselves, what do you do with your main? Do you kick them once the party lead passes over, do you just keep going regardless, or do you log back into the main/character with the skip unlock and leave the instance? And that main character with the skip unlock doesn't have to deal with a used lockout? Also, how exactly do you know the skip applies to the lockout for the alt without killing the first boss, considering there's no indicator for it until that first boss is dead?
@@borga6566 Pass lead to the alt, zone out and leave the party. Relog into the alt, use skips. Once you're done, start over again. If you're just going for Argus, prob takes more time doing all the logging in and out than to get Argus down. There may be a certain amount of time before the skip toon can create a new raidID. I already had a few with the skips when I started doing the sharing, so I could just cycle between them. How do I know the alt can get the skips without the original skip toon killing a boss? I did it dozens of times, that's how.
Just tried this for Antorus, the Burning Throne and it seems fixed. Once you kill last boss with alt and relog to main and leave the instance you'll be saved on both characters.
Should players kick the main that started the group skip before killing any bosses? Your video doesn't seem to show if you left the main in the group before or after logging back in to do the raid on the main. It just shows the group is gone when the main is logged into again. Not sure what I did wrong, but it stopped working. I think it was because the alt took control of the party from the main before being inside the raid. The main cant get back in without the notice saying all bosses are dead.

Does this not work anymore? I tried to do Mythic The Nighthold. I followed the video and joined on an alt once the skip was open. It asked me to accept a 2/10 raid lockout. I finally accepted the lockout just to see what happens and it marks the last two bosses kill on the alt. Edit: I may just be an idiot and had already ran The Nighthold.
