The US women have done something special for women's sport. Over many decades. I remember loving Mia Hamm. But now because of them, I have my own team to support. Russo, Toone, Kelly and Daly are coming for you. And the Lionesses are hungry.
That was the Usa's year. They played well, had luck, and beat some of the top teams in the world. That was also 4 years ago. At least 4 of those players will not be in Australia in July 2023. Usa are nor currently playing well. Other ( European ) teams are. Should be an interesting WWC.

Agreed. 13 of those goals were against a very low ranked team , making their first appearance in the WC. Not exactly great to boast about 13 goals past an amateur side like that, is it? 5 other games were , as i said , 2-1 , 2-1 , 2-1 , 2-0 , 2-0 , very close games. The Usa had a very good team that year and beat 4 of the top teams. I'll give them respect for that. That was 4 years ago. Since then , the quality of a lot of the top teams has gone up. The Usa lost 2-1, 2-0 , and 2-1 to top Euro teams last year. The balance has changed. Will the Usa get out of their group at this WC? They should do. Will they finish top? They should do. Will they go all the way to the final and win it? We shall have to see. 2019 is 4 years ago. A lot has changed since then. Enjoy :)
