It's unfortunate that USA and France had to draw each other so early in the tournament. The atmosphere in that stadium was so hype. It would've been dope if this were the final.

This was a good game for Naeher. I didn't remember her having that many saves while watching, but I was busy being stressed.

This was the game that convinced me we had a legit goalkeeper. This was the first time she was truly tested and she showed up. The goal she allowed was unsaveable.

Amazing how Rapinoe's goal went through all of the players and no one touched it. That is an incredible skill!!!
That's one smart out-of-the-box shot for sure, capitalizing on the gap in French wall, keep it a low bouncing ball LOL I laughed so hard when it happened.
If you watch closely, Mewis blocked a couple of French players to allow the goal through. JJ also dummied the shot, jumping over the ball.

Crystal Dunn was fantastic in this game, neutralizing France's most dangerous attacker on the right flank.
Her energy and defensive determination was key to frustrating France. This was my favorite game for Dunn.
To be fair she was one of if not the best US player in that tournament
Watching this over and over since the WC. Yes, Dunn was key to winning the 2019 WC and key to stopping the right side attack. She made many key contributions on offense as well. Underappreciated and undercelebrated player for the US.
In the WC Finals, she stole the ball from van de Donk which led to the Rose Lavelle goal.
She centered the ball in the Spain game, I think, that led to a penalty and the 2-1 victory over Spain in the WC.

Also, If Morgan actually did touch her, you would see in the slow motion clip that her foot would have stopped or something. But Morgan’s didn’t.

As best I can tell, Rapinoe's free kick went through unmolested because Ertz allowed that to happen. Watch the move: she does a split just above the ball, when she could easily have put a foot on it. It's a world-class screen/deke, is what it is.

Especially with Uswnt players. I’ve seen Sonnett and Press, Harris and Leroux, Sonnett and Rodriguez, Morgan and Heath, Ertz and Sonnett, Lindsey and Harris, Krieger and Heath, and a few other plays. Its not just them though, in the fa wsl I see a lot of the national team/ club teammates getting a bit aggressive with eachother but they know they are still friends.

Did I miss it? O'Hara's controversial handball? The French were convinced it was a handball and that it would have led to a penalty kick and the possibility to tie the match. That footage should be included in highlights. It would have been nice to take a closer look at Dunn's offside call that negated Heath's goal. And did I miss Dunn's amazing play against Diani? She shut...her...down.
How come the US female team play fantastic world class soccer, but the US men team has no clue about this game. This’s fun to watch more than the men’s

The US starting eleven in this game may be the best women's soccer team to ever take the field: Naeher, Dunn, Sauerbrunn, Dahlkemper, O'Hara, Mewis, Ertz, Lavelle, Rapinoe, Morgan, Heath (and that's with Horan, Lloyd, and Press on the bench). This game was the zenith of the 2011-2019 era. But then, it was all very different in the Olympics played two years later. The 2023 team is going to be different. The new group of young players (Smith, Pugh, Rodman, Macario, Fox, Hatch, others) is very strong. I'm very curious as to which players make up the roster for Australia/New Zealand, but those are the kind of problems a coach wants to have.

2:28 That first goal is ingenious even though I'm sure that the French players knew what they were going to try I'd reckon. The placement of the free kick if head on would be at the top of the box at most, the angle makes it more difficult for Megan to go over the top so what did they draw up? You muddy the waters i.e. place chaos between Megan and France's goalkeeper. U.S. players are instructed to not touch the ball meaning if they get really lucky (they did) the goalkeeper's first sight of the ball comes almost when it's already in.
The third goal was it really offside or they just didn’t gave it to USA ?
