  • The not-quite follow up to the Toyota Innova has finally been launched. It's called the Toyota Zenix. It'll come in 2 variants. The top of the line 2.0Q hybrid doesn't really have direct competition as its the only 7 seater hybrid under 2 million pesos in the Philippines right now. But the Zenix 2.0V non hybrid has quite a bit of competition from Chinese 7 seaters. in this video, we'll do a little spec sheet head to head. It's tonna be the Toyota Innova Zenix 2.0V vs the Geely Okavango Urban Plus vs the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro

    Best value is Chery, its only 28k more, discounted by 100k right now ( so 72k less) & has more equipment than the Toyota Fortuner at 800k more expensive.

    for pricing, geely offers a lot of discounts for the okavango. toyota does not.

    you should include safety features as key factor in this comparison. all these vehicales are targeting large families. nothing in tech or looks will make difference if there is safety compromises.

    in terms of cargo, should have been the okavango. if we use a scenario where you have 5 adults with cargo included, in the Zenix, you can only fold down one of the seats on the third row, to accommodate 5 people and the cargo. with the okavanango, you can fold down the entire third row giving you more space for your cargo while seating 5 people. the okavango should have won the cargo catergoy due to its flexiblity compared to the zenix.

      Good point there.. However I gave more weight to the cargo space behind the 3rd row because I assume that the people who buy these 7 seaters need all those seats. And with all the seats in use, the Zenix has considerably more space than both the Okavango and Tiggo 8 Pro. But you made a good point about the Okavango having better flexibility. I did make the scores really close in that category though

      @@jaywalkur yes in terms of space, zenix is truly unbeatable. hope they also bring in the 3 seater 2nd row configuration.

    Grabe tinipid talaga ni toyota yung zenix. Napaka underspec sa competition. Hala sige mga toyota meat riders sakay na!

    toyota most spacious 3rd row but you showed only when 2nd row was folded. Okavango has very loose 2nd row and can just move a little making 3rd row very comfortable.

    i'd give the zenix a zero on third row seat category for selling a 7 seater with not even half a person's width on the third row. it's outright dishonest. 😂

      it is important to have a complete details for the guidance of buyers on what car to buy. I'm just suggesting for the lacking details. They are just making money of there blogs but to have a comprehensive details would be helpful to car buyers.

      You can't add durability or part durability for the Zenix cause it's a new car. Unless you just want to generalize because it's a Toyota, of which yes we know of the general reliability however not all Toyota are reliable or durable. They also come with some issues. Also as a new model you'll have difficulty grinds some parts replaced. I have a friend with fortuner yet gees waiting over 3 weeks for his part to arrive. Which is same with Chery time frame. Geely everyone knows their after sales sucks with no parts available and long waiting periods

    • @ExpatPropertAsia
      @ExpatPropertAsia Рік тому +2

      Yup, its also about 300,000 pesos more and doesn't have a lot of safety and convenience equipment. The seats are covered in a very cheap leather are not padded enough, don't have quilting, don't have cooled & heated ventilation.

    Of course, chinese cars have to compensate on features, there are always some risktaking car buyers to prey upon.

  • @wanderingandroid

    5 years after purchase. Chinese brands will be practically worthless unlike their Japanese counterparts which holds their value especially toyotas.

      Chery did their homeowork. The Tiggo 8 is covered with a 7-year warranty through Premium Preserv program, the longest in the business. This gives buyers some peace of mind. San ka pa? I own the 2.0T AWD that will definitely smoke the Okavanggo and Hynix. Nice comparo by Jaywalkur. Peace😊
