With the recent news of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, her first-born son, Charles, will be the next in line to ascend the throne and assume his rightful place as England’s next King. Up until this point in his life, Charles has held the title of the Prince of Wales and over the past few decades, he’s shared an astounding property portfolio fit for a king with his second wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
This royal couple has mostly split their time between four gigantic properties in England, Scotland, and Wales. For instance, whenever these two are in London on official crown business, they spend their nights in an estate known as Clarence House.
But more often than not, you’ll find them decamping to the county of Gloucestershire where Charles’s longtime family home of Highgrove House resides.

The Queen Consort doesn't live at Highgrove with His Majesty the King. The Queen Consort has her own private home Ray Mill House not far where she spends most of her time. It's where she can still be mother and grandmother with her children and grandchildren from her previous marriage without all the royal pomp.

I love Highgrove! It's so beautiful. I love that it is all organic And sustainable! It is a testament to a life's work! I admire his doing it,when everyone thought years ago, he was crazy. He saw what was coming! Now everyone looks to him for answers! ❤❤❤❤

The pronunciation of ‘Gloucestershire’ is very tricky. Gloss - ter - sher is about right, with the emphasis on the slightly elongated first syllable. English can be a nightmare language sometimes because the rule is that there are no rules!

Personally I find such traditional styles very boring, but it’s not difficult to understand why people found it (and find it) impressive and beautiful - it’s just not for me! Adam Levine’s home though, as an example, is another story - would’ve loved living in such an environment (simple yet cozy with tall, airy ceilings)! 🤗
