None of the live videos and live albums manage to show one thing: the switch from chill melody to heavy distorted guitars is brutal live and hits like a brick in the face. SO GOD DAMN AMAZING. Great band, great albums, great concert. Can't wait for the next stuff to come. GO SEE THIS BAND LIVE!
Old school raver here and huge King Buffalo fan. I never went to burning man, I have been to a Treasure Island Party where opulent temple did props and production. It was sick!
Saw these guys in Brighton, England, a few weeks ago and the gig went right into my all time top ten. This is not faint praise.(I'm 64 and have seen a LOT of gigs!)
I'm 60 and couldnt agree more,,,,,def a top 5 band OAT for me. SUpposed to see them this evening in Detroit for the first time if its not cancelled because of the crappy weather.
I can't say I was sober, but hell yes it was amazing! Opulent Temple's sound system is insanely good too. my favorite musical memory of Burning Man in many years

But this camps sound reaches thousands of people and you can hear it a mile away. Heard so many people talking about the “great metal” they heard while out doing things in the open playa that night.
I was there and it was an epic experience. The guys were fantastic and they really put on the right kind of show as the first rock band ever to play burning Man. I was proud to be there.
Man oh man, it's like... "Apocalypse Now" from Francis Coppola. The cinematography and sound are simply stunning, oh yeah. I wish the band and its accompanying people continue at the same level.
