- I played in 2 Set Championships and won 1st place with 2 different decks. Let's explore the meta match-ups and strategies to help you pilot these decks to victory at your Set Champs!
Amber Steel Songs - Decklist:

Blurple Crush - Decklist:

This video guide discusses the deck lists and strategy in to the match-ups I played at last weekends Set Champs.
Could these be the best decks in the meta? Use them to win your Scar Promo and Playmat!

This two archetypes are my current favorits as well. Thanks for the great match up explanations
I am glad you enjoyed the video!
@poisoncana what do you think about Putting maybe 2 3 Costa tadashi hamadas into the Deck for some ramp and and lore pressure? I dont understand the meta really well but i like the card
@ I like the card as well but I don’t think the deck wins with aggro pressure and it adds more uninkables which can be a problem when you’re using cards like sail to ramp. He’s too easily removed by steel and ruby and gaining 2 ink isn’t super valuable because we usually don’t have ink problems.
How do you deal vs Amber Amathyst Hyper Aggro? Played last Sunday with blurple and got obliterated after cut to top 8 by T1 Daisy, T2 Daisy and Lilo, T3 Tiana, T4 Baloo and that was GG.
Wasn’t running Beffudle, but even with that card, seems like a really hard matchup. Also lost vs Kiwi Birds just for 1 Lore, and lost vs Emerald Steel Discard. Won everything else.
I think any hyper aggro deck is going to be a struggle if you don’t go first. Your best bet is to hope for befuddle and try to ramp in to big Elsa on curve. If you’re expecting a lot of hyper aggro I’d probably increase befuddles honestly.
As a Blurple player, how do you play against the diggity dig hole deck?
@@xannabie2469 it’s the same strategy as any aggro deck. Try to build your board with multiple characters so you have targets for fox and crab to take out their questing threats. Bouncing Fifth Spirit is also useful to keep exerting their stuff. They will eventually run out of resources if you keep grinding them down and your board gets wide enough that you can start questing while controlling their board.
Going in blind do you ever keep befuddle in hand?
@ I think it’s worth keeping most of the time in a blind match up. It’s either going to be good in to the match up or it’s going to be bad in to the match up so you can ink it, you don’t want to draw it later if it’s not helpful. The exception to this is that getting your ramp is probably more important so if I’m on the play I might put it back if I need to mull 6 or 7 to get a 1 drop char and a ramp.
@ cool thanks. I’m reconsidering it since most lists don’t run it - but 2 copies of could be slotted in
@@MaximeChamberland with so many people playing steel it’s killer against Smee and Calhoun. I think it’s worth it
