This series probably would have been one of the great pillars of HBO, but they made the wrong decision to cancel it. Perry Mason, was a solid series in all its sections (production design, costumes, direction, script and 1st level performances).
1 of the things I truly loved about this show was the authenticity of the sets.Season 2 was even better than season 1.There was attention to every detail.Such excellent work.👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤩
So sad to see this brilliant,creative team,always striving for authenticity,stopped at only two seasons! Fascinating ….learning about the settings and costume design ….especially Della’s striking makeover from the somber tones of season one! Hoping another network would pick this one up!
I love how they mention extras being vital in terms of looks and wardrobe. That is why AI should not be used. A real person can give off an aura/look to really sell a scene.
I clicked because i swore i saw Nathan lane in the thumbnail, and despite the title, i immediately thought about penny dreadful city of angels. Ive never heard of this show. The sets and costuming looks great, though.

Why in the world would this show get canceled. It's so well done. I'm so disappointed. Season 2 made me excited for more.
