Awesome amount of work gone into this.
    Also Glenn Miller at Polebrook
    Limahl (Kajagoogoo) at Ferry Meadows
David Essex & Smokie at The Odeon (I think it was renamed "The Broadway")
And quite a few local bands at Alconbury Club

Makes me wonder why I spent all that time in' 72 to 77ish hitching up & down the A1 to gigs in London, Cambridge, Leicester and even Newcastle one time. Remember Tech. college as pretty much the only venue in town before Key opened - btw Gary Moore Band never showed up. There were a couple of clubs, Annabelles and the Toll Gate out on the fen, and pubs the Bull Hotel and Bull & Dolphin and that was about it. - the Quo gig in 90's was at the Showground I think.

Always interested in any gigs that can be substantiated some how, otherwise our memories can play tricks on us. The big Quo gigs were at the Mallard complex but interested in any evidence relating to the Showground but never heard that one before.
As for Gary Moore at the Tech, I have a copy of the ticket and I have a couple of people who claim they were at the gig (including one of the organisers) so, again, happy to hear of any substantiated evidence that he never turned up.

@@theyplayedpeterborough I was at the Gary Moore gig, no doubt printed tickets exist - their gear was even set up on stage with a very impressive drum set up - but the GMB had a car accident that day and were replaced at 11th hour - I think the stand ins were either GT Moore & Reggae Guitars or String Driven Thing? - but those tech. gigs all blur into one, except Pink Fairies( still the loudest ever) and Vinegar Joe - Perhaps GMB re-arranged their date and came back? As for Quo I worked with them in late '88 or'89 including a one night stop in P'boro the venue was a big factory/barn type of a place with nothing around it but grass and tarmac.

Thanks Chris ...... that is useful info and I will update my records. The Quo one sounds intriguing so if you ever work that one out, I'd love to know more ..... but my money remains on Mallard Park for that one ;) !!!

@@theyplayedpeterborough Ok cheers, that no-show thing happened 2 or 3 times at Corn Exchange Cambridge early 70's, I went to see Focus but Queen showed up instead, another time Quo stood in for Rory Gallagher. The Quo P'boro gig was definitely late 80's - looked but can't find venue name - I didn't live in the area by then left in '76 but I know from my work dates at that firm , We did 5 of their shows ending at NEC Birmingham we were filming them ( P'boro gig was observed as a timing run thru' their set with stop watches etc,)
