Their supposedly security is based on a lie and a false premise, that is well conjured to look like they are the victims and the rest of the world, especially the global south is the aggressor. @georgine321 Місяць тому

The only real threat was Russia. NATO was set up recognizing that Soviet Russia was a threat. An immediate one to Europe and of course the US would continue to help defend them. It wasn’t Germany that was the threat. I’m amazed that Sakwa let that pass. Germany was sliced in half and the western half was pulverized. There was absolutely no threat to anyone. All the important Germans were in prison or escaped. The USSR on the other hand had scooped up 16 assorted countries. They have cheerful forgotten that they were not the only country fighting Nazi Germany. And also that they would probably have at the very least lost many more people than they did if not for American lend-lease. Europe didn’t make much noise about Stalin being with Hitler before he was against him. Yes, the big worry for years and years was Soviet Russia. When it collapsed people made the mistake of believing that Russias new leaders would want what is best for the Russian people. Russia, Putin, has proved that he is an 19th century man in the 21st century. Other than his beauitfully tailor suits and lovely wristwatches he knows nothing about the people. Only what he learned as a KGB thug is Dresden...how to look after number 1.

14 October 2024. Morning Dispatch. I'm watching "The Young Pope," the story of a blasphemous pope who rises to power, a story with historical precedent in the Roman Catholic Church, a story befitting our current American politics. The apparent thesis of the series is that people who seek power are frequently profoundly broken people who seek high office to fill some unfillable hole or in a futile bid to win the approval of parents who abused or abandoned them or for some other profoundly broken reason. Sometimes, traumatic suffering begets an Abraham Lincoln, he who struggled with bleak depression yet greatly blessed our nation. More often, it begets a tyrant, a plague and a scourge to the people. And in my lowest moments, I fear I might fall into the latter category rather than the former. How would one know?
Close your eyes. In your mind, picture the country you want this to be, design it from the ground up. It is an exercise I have taken to recently. No homelessness, that's first. It is my will that all of my people would lie down safely at night in homes which they themselves own, and none would make them afraid. After that, free hot school lunches for American schoolchildren, paid for by American taxes. Childless Americans should not object to paying taxes to feed other peoples' children, and I'll tell you why: somewhere in that crowd of children is the president who will protect us in our old age, the nurse who will tend to us in our old age, the firefighter who will come and rescue us when we fall in the bath. This is not socialism to me, this is nationalism - this is conscientiously building a nation that is strong within and without, and believing that this nation which was here before us and (God willing) will be here after us is worth our exertion.
In the debate, Tim Walz expressed that he was proud to have fed the children of his state, and I admire this, and may God bless him for it. I would rather have a veteran in office who feeds American children than a veteran with a hundred confirmed combat kills. What a pity that the Democratic Party Machine's utter detachment from reality and from the will of the American People will likely cause them to lose the election to the traitor.
I saw Gus Walz react with such unbridled pride and joy at his father's elevation, I saw a boy who so obviously loved his father, and I was dumbstruck by it. Such feelings are utterly alien to me. What I am familiar with is the look of mute horror on Barron Trump's face when he stood onstage with his father, uncomprehending horror at a world that would elevate and richly reward and handsomely pay his father who he himself knows to be a monster. Now, I was brought up in DC and taught that it is improper to speak of presidents' children because they did not choose the office. So that is all I will say about that.
Trump's rise to power would have been impossible without the complicity of the American Church, a church that has strayed very far from Jesus in order to accommodate capitalism, that satanic worship of mammon, which is the true little-g god of the American People. What does Jesus Christ tell us? Whatever we do to the least of these - the immigrant, the homeless person, the child whose parents cannot afford to send them to school with a hearty lunch - we do unto the Lord Himself.
How shall we explain ourselves to God on that great and terrible judgement day?
God who loves the immigrant and the homeless person, have pity on us. Bring Thou our hearts into alignment with Thine, and let Thy hand be upon the church in America. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
    V/R,
    In Christ,
    TWS

    • @jameswaugh8339
      @jameswaugh8339 Місяць тому

@@georgine321Have you ever once really thought about why Russia invaded Ukraine? No better time or cause to have a dialogue, negotiations, and diplomacy than to end a bloody war for both sides. The war continues without diplomacy, dialogue, or negotiations because one or both sides don't want to understand why the other side is fighting the war. Like, for example, although Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 and 2022, the invasions were anything but unprovoked. Ukraine, de facto stopped being a sovereign state when in 2014 the U.S. engineered a coup in Kiev, aided by endemic Westernizer factions, that ended up sparking a Ukrainian civil war. The presence of incrementally increasing direct NATO/U.S. military involvement in that civil war all along the long Russo-Ukrainian border came to pose a direct national security threat to the Russian Federation, thereby compromising RUSSIA''S sovereignty, too, thereby leading to Russia's compensatory military action in 2014, then again in 2022. Ukraine gave up its sovereignty to U.S./NATO intervention in 2014. As U.S. Def. Sec. Ausin and NATO Gen. Sec.Jen Stoltenberg both have repeatedly stated, the overarching purpose of U.S. and NATO involvement in Ukraine in the first place has been TO WEAKEN RUSSIA. These truthful statements regarding U.S. NATO objectives in Ukraine are alone sufficient to justify Russia's 2014 and 2022 preemptive actions. Ukraine has never needed to be part of a 32 nation anti-Russian military alliance. It could have simply remained NEUTRAL, free, peaceful, and prosperous, just as Austria did beginning in 1955 during the Cold War. I don't think it's worth the million casualties that have been suffered on both sides of this war so far, just so Ukraine can preserve its right to join NATO. And this situation can and probably will get much, much more costly yet, if the two sides don't start talking to each other. THAT'S "WHAT DIALOGUE" ---to answer your remarkably profound contemplation.

2 October 2024. Poem: Perfect Drums
    The Aerosmith album had
    pictures of the band's
    male pierced nipples
    on the compact disc
    I still remember the feeling
    of shame
    as my parents
    stood over me
    and yelled at me
    about it
I didn't buy the album for
    male pierced nipples, I
    wanted to hear that
lead guitar and see colors -
    the colors of the music
in my mind as they played
The drum kit they bought for my
    brother, who never played it.
When I touched it my mother
    would immediately begin
    flicking the basement light switch
on and off, her signal to me
    to stop
Dangerously Close to the Inner Thigh
    (DCTIT)
my first band, down in Texas
me on guitar, Veronica Gao on drums,
James Newsom inventing lyrics for the
    music I wrote:
Chrissy's got a Babe Ruth rookie card
and she won't even sell it to me
Chrissy's got a Babe Ruth rookie card
and she doesn't even like baseball
Oh Chrissy ... give me ... that card
Native Suns in Colorado, me on djembe
    with three acoustic guitar players
I still remember sitting out in the sun busking
    all four of us
    in the pocket
    in the groove
    and thinking:
I'm doing it, I'm playing the drums in a band
and all these guitars are following my beat
I never thought of myself as a musician, it was
    beat out of me
Everything but being an engineer at IBM
    was gay to my father
so I had to join the military
    to one-up his masculinity
for what? He lives in a mansion in a country he never fought for
I live in a motel room with the angry ghost
    of the man I killed
His dad paid for his college and got him his job at IBM
My dad sent me to war while he stayed home
    then abandoned me to homelessness
    generational wealth indeed
    Now I sit here
and wait and wait and wait
for weekly band practice with Alkemy:
three sweet hours in a real music studio
just backup drummer, and I'll take it
for my bandmates are talented musicians
We need to talk about those coronavirus lockdowns
the greatest wealth transfer from the poor to the rich
that I have seen since the bank bail-outs
    and more:
some sort of perverse social engineering experiment
    asphyxiating kids with masks
    locking them in plastic bubbles
was it because the old selfishly loved their own lives
more than the lives of the young?
Or was it to see how much they could get away with?
Now this same party, unapologetic and unrepentant,
wants to take our guns, and how could I vote for that?
I never took any vaccine and I still haven't died
I don't want to be the deep state anymore
it's the same two political parties, nothing's changed
    for all my labor
I just want to play those perfect drums
    dividing time into beats
    accenting it with cymbals
    beating order into
    the chaos of this world
as if it could be helped

19 October 2024. Morning Dispatch for U.S. Navy. Attention to Orders: Operation COLORADO KUSARIGAMA. I sought peace with North Korea, for it grieves me that there are Korean families still separated by an old war. I have invited Kim Jong Un's sister to make a "grand tour" of these United States in hopes of fostering mutual understanding between our nations. I have suggested a friendship basketball tournament with mixed US-NK teams hosted by Dennis Rodman and other basketball players who are welcome there. I have offered to trade Kim Jong Un a treasure ship filled with American goods in exchange for the return of our United States Ship Pueblo, for it is not fit that ships of the United States Navy be displayed as trophies. Now I learn from OSINT reports that North Korean soldiers are in Russia preparing to invade our ally Ukraine. All of my tools of diplomacy are exhausted. Let it not be said of me that I did not seek peace first.

My orders are: U.S. Navy, upon North Korean soldiers invading the sovereign territory of Ukraine, including the temporarily-occupied territory, you are to covertly & violently scuttle USS Pueblo where she lays tied up to a North Korean pier. I give you this mission because this is your ship, and the branches of the United States Joint Force clean up our own messes whenever possible. It is not fit that ships of the United States Navy be displayed as trophies. We will recover our honor.
These are my orders given under my hand. God save the United States of America, and all our Noble Allies.
    Very Respectfully,
    In Christ,
    TWS

23 September 2024. Captain's Log, Personal. I looked at a house here in rural Idaho, this former EPA Superfund lead cleanup site, the smallest house on a postage-stamp lot: one third of a million dollars. The American Dream is dead and buried. I hear it is possible to buy a house for ten thousand dollars in Japan, and if they'd have me and my cat I would pack up today. I see no future in this country - not under the never-ending failed leadership of the baby boomer capitalists.
I wonder what would've happened if I'd voted for McCain, if McCain defeated Obama. I didn't fully appreciate the torturous ordeal McCain endured for our country when I voted against him. I thought we'd elect our first president of African heritage and then bam, that would be the end of racism in America. I didn't realize how racist Americans are until Trump came on the scene.
I am very satisfied with Obama's presidency, but not with the candidates he has endorsed since, and not with his Democrat party. I want John Podesta out of government. His "if you're not at the table you're on the menu" maxim & associated painting have no place in our government. What does such thinking mean for all the American People who aren't at the table of government? What are the foreign policy implications? Setting aside all the scuttlebutt I have heard, all the darker accusations, this misguided "at the table or on the menu" thinking is reason enough to fire him. Government is a service to the American People, and government workers are all public servants.
Would we veterans be better off if McCain won? Did I vote against my own interests? This abscess of racism needed to be drained. We never should've named military bases for confederate traitors, so God bless Biden for fixing that during his administration. We should've been much harder on the South after we defeated them in the Civil War. Maybe we should've put all of them to the sword, maybe then America wouldn't still be racist today.
I once wrote that the traitor Trump would end up a man with no country, but he has myriad homes here and I have none. It's me, I'm the man with no country, and no home. I should've spent my years earning money for myself like all the other spoiled selfish capitalists, not nobly serving a black hole of a country that will never repay me and never share with me a home.
Life's a funny thing. We get one shot at it, there is no going back, no do-over, no rebooting and starting a new game. What if it had been McCain, though?

17 September 2024. Letter to Senator Tuberville, CC: U.S. Joint Force. Senator, you cannot imagine the stress and suffering endured by American Warriors, because you never fought for our country. When you hold up military promotions, it adds enormous stress to a military that is already overburdened, it damages our already hurting recruitment, and it damages our morale, that all-important will to fight and win wars for the United States of America. I understand you have recently held up another promotion, that of an aide-de-camp to the Secretary of Defense. And now you want me to scramble our special operators to protect the traitor Trump? Sure, Senator, I'll get right on that.
Dispatch for the U.S. Joint Force. I am in favor of allowing our flightline warriors to wear boonie caps as additional protection against the sun. They are out in the sun all day, and this is not a parade formation, so why not choose functional uniforms? If I had to work out on the flightline all day, I would be slathered with sunscreen and still at high risk of skin cancer, because of my pale skin. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to wear a boonie to alleviate sun exposure. When I wore a boonie in Fallujah, I do not feel it negatively impacted my professionalism - if anything, I strove to rise to greater levels of professionalism because I got to wear such a cool hat. I respectfully ask the General Officers of the U.S. Air Force and all branches to consider comfortable, functional work uniforms for warriors that are appropriate to their diverse work environments.
    Very Respectfully,
    In Christ,

18 September 2024. Dispatch: King of Maneuver Warfare. Happy Birthday to the world's mightiest Air Force, the United States Air Force. Some of the Earth is covered by land, and some of the Earth is covered by water, but all of the Earth is covered by air, and it is in this band of low-density fluid betwixt Earth and space that we operate - this is where we fly, fight, and win faster than anyone else.
Remember always General James Doolittle and his Doolittle Raiders, who took off from aircraft carriers to strike the enemy's capital knowing full well they might run out of legs and have to ditch into the sea. That man was an Air Force, that's our uniform, that is our honorable battle lineage, ladies and gentlemen.
Remember always Colonel John Boyd's OODA loop: observe, orient, decide, act. What he is saying is that in a fighter dogfight or in a strategic campaign or even a samurai sword duel, the side that can make better decisions faster wins. The side that observes the enemy, orients himself in a favorable stance towards the enemy, decides on a course of action, and strikes - that side will win the day.
As for me, I believe we the Air Force do two things: (1) win air superiority and then (2) exploit air superiority. We kill everything of the enemy's that flies, we suppress and destroy all of his air defenses, and then we can bomb targets on land or at sea at will. This is how I believe we support our brothers-and-sisters-in-arms of the other branches. This is how I believe we contribute to the joint fight.
Air superiority is our primary mission. We must never allow any enemy to gain air superiority over our ground forces, our naval forces. Rather we shall gain air superiority over his.
Shoutout to Goodfellow Air Force Base and the great state of Texas - thanks for a fun year. God save the American Warriors of the United States Air Force. God save our brothers-and-sisters-in-arms in all the other branches. God save the President, our Commander-in-Chief. God save the Constitution, which we all swore a military oath to protect and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic. God save the United States of America, and all our Noble Allies.
    Very Respectfully,
    In Christ,
