A great replacement for ROPO is using Briarheart along with Oakensoul. On my Arc I'm still trying to figure out if I should be slotting a shield or a heal.
Hmm that’s a tough one, arcanists just have so many good skills it’s hard on a one bar. I would go beam, cruxweave armor, flail, southward and then I would try things with the last spot. Runeguard of freedom might be the first thing I tried.
I like Briarheart and it was one of the first sets I golded, but honestly the heal is so miniscule that it almost doesn't exist. The reason you wear Briarheart is because the Weapon/Spellpower buff is so strong. The heal does basically nothing, especially when you need it.
With an Oakensoul HA (Storm Masters/Noble Dualist and Sergeants Mail) build you have a semi spammable, if you have that semi spammable heal and do dmg you’ll have what you suggested (heavy attack, heal, heavy attack, heal, ect) and still have a dps semi spammable. DK has Deep Breath / Draw Essence, NB has Funnel Health / Swallow Soul, Templar has Puncturing Sweep. Ad a second hot, Burning Embers, Leeching Strikes, Extended Ritual, a burst heal, Elemental Blockade and Elemental Susceptibility and you’re good to go imo, 70k+ dps, heals and survivability. DK and Templar semi spammables are also eoa’s and both can have 29k health and 30k magicka, NB is more single target but can build fore 31k health and magicka. I already solo vet dungeons with these Oakensoul HA builds and will use them in the Endless Archive as well.
I agree. I think there is some other things you could do in there as well. I’ve hopefully got all that and more covered in the class specific guides im working on recording now. :)
You won't get past ARC 3 with that set up. Healing won't matter because you are going to get one shot by the enemies. Also, Oakensoul bugs out and your HA start doing like 15K at most, and whatever gear sets you use will bug out too. Sargents mail and storm masters won't even proc anymore once you get there. L

I’ve been told before you can’t solo hm dlc dungeons with an Oakensoul HA build, with practice I still do several of them solo on hm, my guess is it’s also practice and get knowledge of the mechanics. I’ll try when EA gets launched on console and see where it gets me, from there I’ll adjust and adept, if it really doesn’t work I’ll go to another build.
You can probably do it until you can’t. They are just so strong for solo/duo content that it’s hard not to recommend them. I’m working on guides though going in depth on every class though. Right now I would say just make sure you have pragmatic fatecarver, cruxweave armor, and consider runespite ward all to help you stay alive.
Ninja pulls has a great and easy Arcanist build he released a few months ago here on u tube, run coral riptide/ deadly + velothi ur for this I’m probably gonna run solo on my Arcanist PvP build, 10 piece of shattered fate plus sea serpent and 1 piece trainee, if damage feels too slow I’ll switch back to my pve build but my PvP build is thiccccc
Went in with my VO/Unleashed StamSorc Kitty the first time and killed the few to'ath or what they are called. I love my brawler build for stuff like that even after they nerfed it :-D
What is VO/Unleashed ? Do you have a link to the build pls? I did yesterday my first run and manage to get to stage 3 and died due to a wanderer boss. But I went with my usual arcanist trial build. I noticed that I need healing and mag regen, so I will try the Pale order ring and change food. Also i need a cc or something, i tried the arch fear but is not that usefull. I don't know.
@@m3ducraft VO=Vicious Ophidian. Unleashed is the medium set from castle thorn that procs a DoT on stampede. No monster set but 2 2H arena weapons from maelstrom (for stampede and weapon dmg proc) and dragon star for brawler. The larger the mob group, the heavier the damage. Whilst jewelry farming in vHRC i get to a cosy 25% of group damage in trash 🙂 I have no links for builds as i design them myself.
@m3ducraft CC won’t work on the bosses, only the trash. Try pragmatic fate carver, use your cephaliarch’s flail to root trash mobs, rune of displacement to group them, and then beam away. If you have on ropo you should be just fine. In assuming you have cruxweave armor as well but that should be part of your trials build if you are taking damage. Spiteward and runeguard of freedom could also be good to slot.

For solo only oakensoul ring. Especially if you have problems with ping (like me). Pale order is fine but I get much easier and much further (Arc 5+) with Oakensoul without need to do 2 bar combos. It has to be fun and it is easy to have fun in EA with 1BAR. great guide keep it up :)
It’s a better tanking set in general as when it procs for stam it probably won’t be doing anything for you. I’m guessing you are mostly looking for mag recovery but perhaps you are looking for survivability in general? For pure recovery it looks like it might be best (assuming the health is also something you want), otherwise it’s only 220 mag recovery per second on average. But still is up there on utility. Mother Ciannait might be a good middle ground of sustain and survivability. Chokethorn might be a meme but for raw single target heals it’s not actually bad. Scourge harvester could also work if you have ropo on since it provides the major mending. Havnt done the math though. Sorry that’s not a super straight answer, but the real answer is it is complicated based on what exactly you want. Swapping to light armor will also help a ton, if you haven’t already. Tldr yes it should work well, but there might be something better I’m missing depending on your needs.

I am experimenting with more PvP builds that stacks damage done bonuses rather than wd/sd and currently sitting on Dragon's Appetite (craftable), Draugrkin Grip and Master DW + Vate Inferno on backbar. Keeping Blood Craze to activate damage Appetite then all sorts of dots, it heals me to full every 5s while Draugrkin, Master and Vate and that small portion of extra damage to bleeding targets from Appetite deal flat damage regardless of stats. This allows me to run full heavy armor and I don't have to attack that much with a spammable.
A person shall be a damage per second? How is this possible? I only knew about tanks, healers and damage dealers (DD, even shorter than DPS), but a damage per second role?
Haha it’s like being a deck “hand”. How does one become a hand? As someone who has been both, it’s when the core of your job comes down to just doing/being one thing.
Even if you have a tank with you, you aren't going past ARC 4. The enemies just 1 shot the tank after ARC 3, and any DPS will get one shot after ARC 2. The difficulty scaling is horrible in the Archive. Also, 5 piece gear sets and mythics start bugging out and quit working after ARC 2. It's a pretty terrible activity.
I wish I could say I was surprised. I think the damage quit scaling at some point on the pts. A few people got to like arc 12 or 13 and then quit because they had been going for 12+ hrs. I guess they decided they didn’t want that happening… doesn’t seem like the best solution though. Mythics not working and other bugs are very frustrating. I’ve heard reports but haven’t experienced it myself yet.
@Nightharrow kind of makes me wonder, whats the point of the endless archive, then? It's not ACTUALLY endless. Its very much designed to stop you after ARC 3. Seems like they should have just made a two man dungeon that had 3 arcs, and was just randomly generated how it is now.

Two baskets to be fair. The two best for most people. There is always thins idea that when something is recommended it’s because other things havnt been tried or looked into. It’s actually they a bunch of things have been and the cream has risen to the top. With that said though I’m always looking for new ideas, so send em my way if you have any!

@Nightharrow haven't been into the EA yet as I'm on xbox but I'm wanting to prepare, I main a stam arcanist currently fully set up for group pve with Coral, deadly, velothi and maelstrom, daggers and staff, the meta really and I'd say I'm reasonably mid to end game experience wise in PVE, but not really in solo stuff, I will be heading into EA with my bf on tank I'll be dd and would just like an idea of what sets would cover everything required, my play style is aimed more towards pale order kinda style if that makes sense

Self protection. Attack. Self Healing. Buff. And crafting skill and building knowledge. Endless Archive will test your basic combat technique. Not so special.

I need to get Ring of the pale order.
Use markyn with armor pots. Get regen from ur cp and passives.
Also the mythics are bugging out in there. My ssc and thrassian were both bugging out. I didnt check markyns uptime
