I started doing this around 2007 but at 5 or 5:30, as long as I'd be falling asleep at least 4 hrs after last bite. Yrs later I realized that no matter when bedtime was going to be, if I stopped consuming calories 3-4 hrs prior, I'd have the health & physique of a fitness model.

You’re correct. We’ve become undisciplined when it comes to when we should eat for our digestive system. What you suggest was standard when I was growing up in 1960 & 70s. The last meal was supper and we all ate at 6 pm. After that no meals or snack after 7 pm. We never felt hungry throughout the evening.

Right ?! Nobody was snacking on junk watching tv all night. As a kid, my brothers and I were always playing outside, or going roller skating, or ice skating, skiing etc. We didn’t veg in front of the tv and when we watched something, we weren’t eating. We ate supper at 6 pm every night. My mom cooked from scratch and the main part of the meal was veggies and protein. And ZERO Dessert.

I agree!! I personally can't go to bed at 8 pm, I am a musician, I play at night. I can't wake up at 6 am. But I am, since a few weeks, doing raw-vegan during the week, and in the weekend, well... I let my cravings go. But I am having less and less cravings during the weekend and that's good for me! It's not easy, it's a constant battle. But I can say, eat whatever you want as much as you want, whenever you want! If you can eat healthy foods, even better! Even if you live 1000 years longer, it will never be long enough. You will want to live 2000 years! 4000 years! Be kind, eat well, do what you like to do when you like to do it. Somebody asked my wife and I one day: "why do you want to eat healthy?? do you want to bring a healthy body to the grave??" Haha. Well... I just want to live as much as I can without aches and pains!

I can't say i've noticed waking up super refreshed in all those years, recently, occasionally I've had an organic banana close to bedtime and did not notice it messing with my sleep. Often, people with adrenal fatigue can actually benefit from a snack close to bedtime to mitigate blood sugar crashing through the night- which can most definitely wake you up and dusturb your sleep.

I would like to try to do this for a better sleep.... but here I see a difficulty in following you because the majority of us work in a time frame that does not allow us to do this. Me, for example: I work in an office. I work until 5 or 6 o'clock, as is the case in many offices/workplaces. I like to walk home because I am already sitting or standing most of the day. So this walk takes more than an hour. To prepare and eat my meal, and I want to do it slowly and enjoy it, it is impossible to finish before 8 or 9 o'clock. I don't see what I could change here. Do you or anybody else? Thanks!

I am thinking that the seaweed would be huge for this. It's loaded with skin plumping collagen!

Hahaha, it's 08:30 pm here in Germany and I saw that there is a video from you. I just thought I would like to eat something 😂 and I thought maybe I don't want to do it after watching your video so I thought about not to watch it 😂😂😂 but of course I did and now I will go to bed without eating any more today 😅 so you did it. Haha. Thank's for that 😂❤

protein is ok tho. Fat maybe. Carbs only when I'm callory-deficient after a day of hard labour or when it's cold. I use to snack on nutritional yeast lately. It's 50% protein, 27% fiber, 9% carbs, 5% fat.

I've been this for almost a year. I love it, but still not at my goal weight...I'm plant based, LOTS OF RAW FOODs, and little to no grains. I need to kick it up a notch. Thank you Markus.

Some people eat before they go to work, thats totally fine. As long as you stop eating 4 hours before sleep
