I'm not likely to review the El Speleo SAR. $490 with no batteries or charger seems a bit pricey. I have heard numerous concerns over reliability of their other headlamps, and their run-time/lumen charts continue to be inaccurate.

It looks hardy, and I like the low profile (close to the helmet). Would like to see it again after you take it on a few caving trips!
