Hi Deady, I have my theory and hazard perception tests in March and I am looking to do skip lorry work, chain lift to start with, I have a bit of experience with skips from the job I had before my family came along but couldn't drive the lorry so this time I want to do the driving! No two days are the same on skip work which is what is attractting me to the industry, stay safe

It was also nice to hear your positive outlook on the industry, as someone who wants to be a HGV driver in the future its really nice and motivational to hear the positive words about the job and how to go about enjoying it and how to get along with people. Not to sound cliche lol.
I used to be a truck spotter, I went to Norway with John Parker horseboxes, spotting in daylight at 2 in the morning was strange, I also found out I was autistic and the spotting calmed me too.. another great video keep them coming

More precisely the RLC as a Driver, I plan to spend 5 years minimum there and then head off to drive trucks outside the army. Of course I could stay in the army longer if I enjoy the job more than I expect. Honestly cannot wait to get to Phase 1 training to begin my time in the army and more importantly begin trucking!

Great vlog mukka,re low dropped trailers,I m just about the only driver on fleet who regularly changes trailers,but its usually dropping my tipping trailer and picking up my low loader and vice verse! If I'm dropping a trailer especially loaded I drop it @ +90 (on a scania) I hate grease on my lifter ramps! Talking welsh,easy all you've got to say is "doing a spinney!!!" @@Deady2012 ah! You mean a continental spec trailer. They can be a right pain. We get a lot of them here in Ireland. It’s a bit stupid having 2 different types of trailers in Europe with the different couplings and number plates. I can understand the difference with the controls on the trailer for the brake and legs etc. but the rest should be the same on all European trailers whether they be from Ireland, Britain or the continent. It would make life a lot easier for drivers.

Honestly mate the mountains and views are just breathtaking. I’ve done several runs up to Inverness in my Scania and I always plan my journey so I can have at least a 45 min break so i can just sit in my cab in awe of scenery. Let’s hope you get Scotland mate, because that would make a brilliant Vlog for you channel👍

I've watched and not commented for a while. When I was your age I really enjoyed the industry.. there are a few older sad gits that still love it.. I will give you about 10yrs of the job and you will start to see the truth of the industry. I was class 1 for 32 yrs and see so much change in legislation. You new to it. Tom Tom or Garmin Dezl. Can’t go far wrong with either. Combined with Google maps for satalite view.

When I was your age I really enjoyed the industry.. there are a few older sad gits that still love it.. I will give you about 10yrs of the job and you will start to see the truth of the industry.
