  • Here's STEVE LAWRENCE singing the title song of
THE MAN FROM THE DINERS' CLUB
Written by Steve himself, and Johnny Lehmann.
In the film, this song is played as part of the opening credits.... it goes straight from the Columbia Pictures logo and underscoring, right into the song, and then at the end, instead of there being a proper finish, it blends right into the underscoring of the first scene of the movie...
There exists a 'promo' red vinyl record * ("not for resale"), but.........as far as I am aware, there was no official commercial release of the isolated song - so I created an ending and remastered the audio - so that it can finally stand alone as a '"single release'"..
*(Steve and Johnny are not credited on the vinyl promo, nor is the arranger of this swingin' orchestration........ hopefully one day the orchestrater will come to light - they are always the unsung heroes of these recordings.)
The Man from the Diners' Club - a 1963 comedy film starring Danny Kaye, directed by Frank Tashlin.
Produced by Ampersand and Dena Productions and released by Columbia Pictures.
