- The sky is no longer the limit! Macrocosm is a Terraria mod that aims to offer the exploration of deep space after the defeat of Moon Lord. Dig, explore, build, and fight your way through the entire solar system, starting with the Earth's moon. Future updates will expand further upon the rich world we want to provide with players, including adding new planets, biomes, boss fights, and lore!

@@azure4622 Same bro, Starbound might've been a failure but it definitely had potential, at least the modding scene made the game really fun. i personally also enjoyed it to an extent.

i found it cool that the thumbnail is paying homage to that one terraria 1.3 poster where all the endgame armor are posing together
I am proud of being part of this team. I am part of it since the 14th of September 2020, which is nearly 4 entire years as of this comment, which means I'm in it since pretty much its debut.
I am the 2nd most productive spriter of the team, I have done a couple of sprites for the mod of which I specialize in making enemies and weapons, on top of being able to animate decently. I also happen to have some notable influence within the team (hell, even my french has become a common gag since long within).
The very first years of development had a rocky start. Coders who would be willing to commit their work towards the mod, were scarce, and we definitely needed one who'd have the time to contribute. That's when Feldy came to us, and to which we recruited him with open arms. Since then, he's become the backbone of the mod's development, and we are all very thankful to have him aboard.
As for the sprites, William is who I believe to be THE main spriter of the mod. I call myself 2nd, because I don't have the same level of quality, and of productivity that he has. I see William as the better spriter overall, and he's been in the team for a couple of months longer than me. It's thanks to him that we've been able to set the atmosphere of the Moon, and he's responsible for 3 of the 4 armor sets (I only did the melee one).
Lincoln Ennis is our main musician, he doesn't show up often, but he never deceived with his works. All of the musics you hear in the mod, are his doing, including the one you hear in this trailer. As of which of his musics I like the most so far, it would be the night theme of the Moon: "Requiem".
And finally, the man behind the whole project, the leader of the team, Pluto. Since the past couple of years, I've considered him to be, not just a good leader overall, but also a great friend, of which I care for with the utmost respect. He's open minded, he's not the bossy kind (unlike how some would be), and he values the well being of everyone within the team. If he were someone else, the members of the team would probably be more volatile.
Special mention to Uncon Arts, who is currently our most recent recruit. He provides us with concept arts for the enemies and the weapons, and he also excells at building, which will be very useful for the making of dungeons and structures in the future.

They actually made starbound in terraria. Insane.
This might be the most ambitious Terraria project I've ever seen. I have never seen anything like that rocket blast off animation ever. Everything just feels so unbelievably detailed. I can hardly wait for this to come out!
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

This genuinely seems like it could become the single best mod. Not only is it seemingly a 'full' Post-Moonlord Expansion, but with the way it works would mean you can just keep adding biomes and structures without fearing overlapping because you can just keep making more subworlds, which also makes it incredibly compatible with other mods since overlap won't happen there.
There will be some _small_ Pre-Moon Lord assets that will be added to Earth, such as aluminum and steel, but nothing that outright breaks or changes the actual progression. We wish to keep nearly all of our mod's content post-Moon Lord, and away from Earth.

I genuinely think we don't need a Terraria 2 or something like that but another 1.1 style update introducing the next world stage post Moonlord with space exploration to a new planet with new challenges. I mean a Super Hardmode has been an EXTREMELY popular concept for years now, I was incredibly surprised when they felt the need to make Moonlord the absolute finality of the game, especially with the crazy amount of endgame gear you unlock.
This looks insane I've always wanted a mod like this.

Love the python symbol on the rocket, lol. Terrarain did not bother to use some low level language for his rocket control.

The rocket is customizable with different kinds of paintjobs and symbols. The green-blue python logo is a developer symbol, mine to be precise ;)
