The seven mile bridge doesn't connect knights key to Key West it just connects Marathon to the island below it, there are still 40 more miles of roads and bridges to get to Key West. I think you meant to say the highway US-1 instead.

@@AlyssaMalliae It's actually not even the southern most point of the key. The old naval station west of the marker is actually further south. The actual southern most point of the continental US is woman key located between boca grande key and man key. And key west is actually 94 miles from Cuba. Just a couple of fun facts. Not trying to be rude.

You can go off season (Thanksgiving is typically awesome weather-wise) and you need to venture off the beaten path. Likewise if you are flying into Key West direct, I'd skip the car.
I always drive down from ft lauderdale. I mean, the direct flight is much cheaper than the weekly car rental but, I just love the drive.

Their Cuban sandwiches are amazing!! I’m vegetarian so I always get the Veggie Hummus sandwich! I also order rice and beans which are soo delicious!😍
Most overrated place in Florida. Bridge views are only cool from up top like you’ve shown. I wouldn’t go back.
