Congratulations. Out of twenty watch reviews of the Marine Gear Casio, yours was the only one that explained the moon and tidal features. Don't think anyone really understood how to set it up or read it. For someone who isn't a watch guy you impressed the hell out of me. See my comment below on the Casio Pro Trek prg 650, the perfect all purpose watch IMO. I wouldn't trade mine for a 5000 dollar watch. Still trying to wrap my head around the lunitidal setting on my Marine Gear. Thanks for this.
I just got a Seiko SKX007 diver, it may be slightly expensive for a pure beater but it really is durable and WAY more stylish than the casio, you should take a look at it
snarf much better than ANY Casio. I don't get Nutn and the Casio. I do have a titanium solar Pathfinder, with altitude, baro and compass - the only one I like. Nothing much beats SKX007!
@E T I was too. I am going with the tikka t3x ctr because of the very smooth action and the fact its got bolt handles you can swap out in a matter of seconds. Also the 70 Degree bolt throw looks very nice and the Sako style extractor.
FR3EKGaming yeah the T3X is smooth, but the two HMR's I have put my hands on were both smooth as well. The bolt handle swap it nice, but I don't need to be able to change them over in seconds- just like I don't need to swap my AR barrel in seconds. If I need to swap the handle I will but its pretty darn good as is. The throw is a training issue imo. Plus the mags are still ridiculously expensive after dropping down to $65 Mark. At this point short of building a rifle on a sako/tikka action $829 for the Bergara HMR is a great value with a lot of premium options built-in . I feel like the T3X in various flavors- though a great rifles- bring a lot of marketing language to the table while failing to innovate in the marketplace.
Agreed, I am using the tikka action to put into a McMillan A4 or A5 stock and going with a AICS Bottem Metal swap. So to just have a gun to use strait out the box both a great but the bergara hmr has a much better stock and cheaper mags.
Non-Rotatable Bezel? My AMW320 is the only one I take underwater Old School without having to remember what time I started Diving. Agree with everything else. Another great looking watch from Casio. Great Review...
Funny...I don’t really like wearing watches typically. Only when diving to track my time at depth. Which I don’t even do anymore. But I like the watch reviews. Keep em coming.
I do have a G-Shock solar powered and self adjusting love it wear it when I’m doing work. I do like a analog watches with a silicone band for an everyday wear and for that not really a Casio fan not to say that they don’t have something that I like, but I just go looking at other brands for my everyday wear.
Salud, Colonel. I love your watch reviews. As I was looking over UA-cam for a review on my watch (I hoped to find one by you), I came across this video. Nice watch and similar to mine, but in some ways, I like mine better. The only feature this watch has that mine doesn't is the Tide Monitor (it does have a thermometer). A big difference is that mine has a sweep second function (though it is digital), and the back light actually lights the digital readout. It is a little more expensive but still meets the "budget" specification. It comes with a stainless bracelet, with a latched toggle and a safety clasp. I actually got the EFA-122, which is a European/Asian model, and is square, but the EFA-121 has the same module and design elements, just that it is round. It is the same size as the reviewed watch, which is in my humble opinion, the perfect size for a watch. Who needs an alarm clock strapped to their wrist? Anyway, I think it is a watch that deserves your attention. It is available on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Casio-Gents-Watch-Edifice-EFA-121D-1AVEF/dp/B000NG8Y2M
I was looking for a watch after Christmas and saw some of your videos. Some of the ones I liked were more in the $150 range and I thought I would try to see if I could find any made in the US (or as much US made as I could). I found Smith and Bradley had their Sans 13 discounted to $175. It was more than I wanted to spend, but for a designed and made in the US (Swiss Movement) watch from a low-volume manufacturer, I went for it. I really like it. It seems very durable and the phosphorescent dial does last at least 6 hours. It looks like they were clearing them out because they are splitting their lineup with the self-winding mechanicals sold as Smith and Bradley and the quartz 'tactical' watches as a new Defi brand.
Bought a Barton qd band and it broke instantly. Contacted Barton and they sent me a new one right away. Haven't bothered putting it on because I love their Nato strap.
Got the Seiko SNK805 you reviewed a while ago, really good find. I deal a lot with strong magnets, dangerous levels of RF, while not totally likely, I always had to think at least slightly about what I was carrying with me as far as what might be damaged. Also, to join the chorus... snow camping videos! Also, snow shooting videos. You ever going to do a follow up to Serenity Actual?
Casio is like CRKT for me. At first I like the watch/knife but on close inspection there is a feature that is a deal breaker like tip down carry or non-functioning bezel. Cool watch but lost me with the bezel. Too much like those fake chronograph watches where the subdials are just glued on.
Good review, but it seems like it's a general boating watch disguised as a dive watch. Why have that bezel if it doesn't rotate? And since it doesn't, why have that section of orange on the face? And I'm doubting anyone will be able to use that digital window while submerged.
Nut'n, I was wondering if you have considered reviewing the Citizen Navihawk World Time pilots watch. I have the 1st Generation battery operated model. I understand it has been upgraded to Solar and Atomic.
Yeah i also have it always on the 12 position. in my icewatch thing...it really annoys me when it's slightly offset....then everyone gets annoyed when i reset it... as it clicks so loud....
I have been wanting to get myself a decent watch for a while now and narrowed it down to 11 watches. After much consideration and the fact that I can't afford to buy more than one I had to narrow it down to the final two... Casio's G-Shock Gravitymaster Watch - G-1100B-1ADR and Casio's G-Shock Mudman Watch (Tough) - G-9300GY-1DR. I need something durable that will work in the bush, that I can take hunting and can handle large rifle fire. Which one do you think is better? I like them both and they both have a lots great features. This will be my first G-Shock watch! Thank you!
Can confirm, the Gulfmaster is a gem! Of the first two, I'd go with the mudmaster, because it will actually look better with wear imo. The gravitymaster is beautiful, but I don't want to get it too scratched up.
Curious, Have you tested the west coast ocean water for radiation levels? I hear it's pretty high thanks to Fukushima. Oh, and great looking watch for the price especially...
I have to disagree about this watch its not even worth the 50 bucks.. Theres a 40 dollar watch I think it's called the marlin that's better then this model what kills this watch is it raised bevel crystal..
Get the hint Emilio, he doesn't give a shit what you think. Go support on Patreon if you want to request a video. Otherwise shut your hole and go consume free content somewhere else

Moon is ez to read. Tidal I don't get.
That's a great looking watch that even a non-diver like me would purchase. Great value too!

Picked up the skx009 a couple years ago. Absolutely fantastic. Good pick!
Nutn, are you still go out hiking/backpacking sometimes? I really would love to see a new backpacking series in the project. Thanks
i agree
And a first-aid kits updates. 1, 2, and 3 levels.
You can always tell a true dive watch. The last color you can see in diving is Orange. Hence, the orange accents. Nice review.
Thanks for the watch vid. Casio has so many great affordable options. Hard to beat
I enjoy your watching your channel also Rob
I need a moving bezel for my Navy Seal ops to Dunkin’ Donuts 🍩
2 videos in one day? Thanks Nutn. Can't wait for your Tikka T3X Review. I am looking to get one soon and always enjoy your thoughts and testing.
FR3EKGaming I'm on the fence between the t3 and the bergara hmr!

Excellent video! Just bought one. There is a cool white version: AMW-710-7 and a "Duro" MDV-700D-1AV.
When you take measurements on a watch gotta also measure lug to lug, important info for how it wears on wrist.
Cool watch. I wonder what your Holy Grail of a Casio watch would be. Mine is the Casio EQB-500RB Redbull Limited Edition. The ones rainbow bezels.
Enjoy the watch reviews. Should be part of everyone's EDC. Awesome content all around.
Watching you (no pun intended) in that cold ass water reminded me of one of the reasons I live in hawaii. Ha ha. Great vid
I have a Citizen Promaster Diver and love it. I am particularly fond of the Eco-Drive system but will take a look at this Casio.
Don't love the watch, but still love that you reviewed it. Thanks
You put "Baby" in the title and all but one (yours) of the suggested videos on the sidebare are lullaby or nursery rhymes.
Nice regs love Atomic you can keep the cold water diving though lol. I've been looking for a new dive watch thanks fur the vid.
Non-Rotatable Bezel? My AMW320 is the only one I take underwater Old School without having to remember what time I started Diving. Agree with everything else. Another great looking watch from Casio. Great Review...
Your watch reviews are getting better...

Good thing my birthday is coming up in a couple weeks, so my wife won't freak when I buy a new watch and knife especially at these price points
Yes! If the bezel is off... I am stopping what I am doing to fix it!
NutN this watch looks top notch with a black and orange NATO strap.
Really liked the review! I'd take one of those Citizens hands down over that specific Casio though. Marathon GSAR.

Have mine for 10years.Still ok. Bezel is aluminum and it has marks. Glass also
Watches and guns go together keep the reviews coming

Tempting. I'm really stuck on the atomic functionality of some Casios. But this one is still tempting.

Nice review and I’m liking the other end of EDC stuff and the watch is one I carry or ware everyday... this one has my interest
Bought a Barton qd band and it broke instantly. Contacted Barton and they sent me a new one right away. Haven't bothered putting it on because I love their Nato strap.
Any watch i wear on the water, I always use a one piece strap, just so I dont lose the one if a pin pulls out
Awesome video! Thank you for the review
Nutn, when are case knife reviews coming!? I'm sick of tactical stuff for a while!
You mentioned a crystal protector. What is it and how do you cut it. Thanks.

Nutn, lots of cool new guns to review for lots of views. I would personally love a review of the AREX. Also, how 'bout a video pistol red dots.
Nice vid and watch, take care from Montréal, Québec
Did everyone hear that Ruger is now producing the PC9 again? I know it’s not a watch but I wanted to spread the word.
Yeah, I watched a review just the other day. Will have to get one.
WANT!!!
Nut'n, I was wondering if you have considered reviewing the Citizen Navihawk World Time pilots watch. I have the 1st Generation battery operated model. I understand it has been upgraded to Solar and Atomic.
Great video - looks like a cool watch!

Always on the cool 😎 side of watch reviews!

Marshall Customs Thanks for the help! I haven't heard of the smart crown but I do like the Gulfmaster! I like the analog hands more as well!

Leopold Arkham Thanks Leopold!
I would go for the Seiko SKX
It's a great watch but a very different feature set
This ain't no dive watch! SKX007 all the way. Orange or black monster!
Is it just me but i perceive the lugs as being extremely wide (at least 24mm)?
Great watch video.
If one wanted/needed a watch with a tidegraph, is this what you would recommend? Or are there better options out there?
Nutn have you done a high value mountain adventure watch? Altimeter, digital compas ext.?
Fancy, you need to do some warm water diving.
only 100m
200m minimum in my opinion.
Vostok Amphibia for me. I don't like battery watches.
You and the zodiac remind me of the old timex commercials. takes a licking and keeps on ticking
Hey Nutn, can I send you something to test and review?
Are you going to try Ruger's Security 9?

Curious, Have you tested the west coast ocean water for radiation levels? I hear it's pretty high thanks to Fukushima. Oh, and great looking watch for the price especially...
