Mixwave Mike Mangini on e-drums

Mixwave Mike Mangini drum library is very fun to play, plenty of toms, octobans and symbals to choose.
Sounds are amazing, midi mapping could be better, like typing direct note keys, click and drag mouse changes notes but very hard to see because tiny text and no good UI scaling.
After all settings are done and saved, very happy with this vst.
End of video is EZdrummer 3 sounds with same playing, EZdrummer only supports 5 toms, there is hihat sound on first tom..
Gear:
- Diamond drums and cymbals, 3 small "rototoms" are diy
- eDRUMin 10 + 10

Amazing! I recently discovered the mixwave plugins, I was disappointed with the tony royster because it doesn't sound good, gojira is cool but the cymbals sound strange, but this one from mangini is worth it, it sounds good for rock and metal. ezdrummer 3 is fantastic, I use it a lot, although it is very processed, superior drummer 3 gets more realism and dry sound. I still use too the Addictive Drums 2 because of their good variety of kits.

Thanks.. these plugins are all very different, if you use it for midi grooves or on edrums, some parts fits your needs and rest not. For my use EZ drummer 3 grid editor yes, band mate no..
In SD3 / EZdrummer there is no rototom/octobans without expansions, this Mangini VST worked great for me and i hope it does same to you..🤘

Dude sick setup. Such a beast of an e drum kit. I have an A2E and love it. I use ezd3 right now and use the death metal expansion pack, the sound is cool but i feel like it’s almost too processed. I’m really tempted to get these samples. One question, how was it mapping and getting the hi hat setup? Ezd3 makes the hi hat so simple, it’s like one button and it works flawlessly. I tried the Krihm VST and I couldn’t get the hi hat, open close function to work right, so I’m concerned that I’ll drop $200 on this and have that same problem. How was your experience with it?

Hihat was the hard part, i tried this tutorial first but it did not work good on hihat, everything else is easy to set up with learn button:

Then i tried again with Mixvawe default kit and but those hihat midi note keys to eDRUMin module hihat levels, not using Mixvawe midi cc trigger worked better.
If you have Roland module? i thing you can´t do that way (change midi notes?), but you could try to but hihat midi note keys from EZd3 to Krihm hihat, in Krihm hihat click example "tip tight" note and drag mouse up or down to get right same note key, its very hard to see and i learned this just by mistake. If it works to Krimh it should work to Mangini also.
What comes to sound´s, it´s great and you can do many set´s, i have only octobans, high toms and low toms set up´s..

It is almost out of box, just little room slider and snare reverb down.
