Much thanks Ron, this tutorial really helped me grasp the basics of connecting modules....and the slew smoothing...all in all giving me the confidence to dive in, 1nce again...much thanks
I stumbled onto your channel this past week, first hunting for more Lyra-8 demos then discovered your Zoia content. My Zoia arrived yesterday and the Lyra-8 arrives on Friday or Monday. I've not yet fired up the Zoia, but your videos along with other excellent walkthroughs people are posting have been helpful. Almost like I've already actually used the machine. You've got great skills of explanation and teaching, thanks for sharing those in your videos. BTW, your accent has me guessing you're from W NYS, greetings from the edge of Lake Erie. :)
I'm about halfway the Lyra vids, and have enjoyed them so far. Some are bookmarked at the midway points as I'd kept seeing your new Zoia vids in the sidebar and I couldn't resist jumping over to them. Please keep the good content coming, I hope the interest in Zoia which seems feverish all around, brings you more deserved views and subscriptions Ron.
Have you seen the previous tutorial ??? ua-cam.com/video/yku3w1VJhfQ/v-deo.html midi clock now available check out the extension to this video ua-cam.com/video/Cf592-S5G1A/v-deo.html
Many thanks for the video. So useful. I've noticed when you edit LFO for example, you can still see flashing from lights showingthe changes you are making. Mine stops all visible activity until I hit the back button. Is there a setting I need to change? Thank you.
@@basilandrigsby well I haven't used my zoia In a while since the knob on it isn't working properly. I'll have to get it fixed some day. I'm not sure if the later firmware they disabled it? Shrug...
I'm trying to get stomp to trigger my sequence but when it opens LFO the start time for the sequence isn't exactly when I press stomp since sequence is only moving with LFO if I press stomp just after or just before a cycle the sequence won't come in exactly as I stomp. I have a synth backing track for the chorus of my song and the idea is that I press stomp as I start chorus and the sequence plays along with me, unless I can begin the sequence EXACTLY when I press stomp it's really hard if not impossible to time correctly. Any ideas? How do I trigger sequence exactly as I press stomp?
@@RonCavagnaro don't worry, I dove into an idea that is way beyond my skills and I'm having to learn on the go, this things is powerful but it's like learning a new language!
Cool video. I'm trying to figure out how to start / stop the sequencer with the left stompswitch and haven't been able to figure out a way to do it yet. Have you tried anything like that?

You can now in fact run the clock externally via MIDI… was just doing it works great
@7:10 - You were right! Midi Clock Input Module is now available in latest firmware (1.01) :D

How would one do sort of 303-type portamento with the sequencer? Only have slew between certain steps, in other words.
I think the slew world do it! Maybe a second sequencer to change the slew values?
This is like having Bitwig’s modulators in hardware form...brilliant

Hmm not sure. Maybe check your firmware version?
@@RonCavagnaro Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It's 1.13

@@RonCavagnaro Oh no. I hope you get it fixed too. You clearly know what you're doing with it. All the best
cool stuff!
I think I need one now.
is there a away to spin faster through values? seems like a pain to roll it so much for small changes. maybe holding the knob down while spinning?
It might appear to be painful but it isn't. The faster you turn the knob the faster the numbers change, it's actually very comfortable to use.
It is possible to make monome mlr-style sequencer in zoia?
Man thats cool!!
