Never before has a videogame left me feeling as utterly betrayed as Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser. I was the best freaking Inquisitor EVER! All of my followers freaking LOVED me! Then Solas abandoned me, made a fool of me, and left us all to fend for ourselves while the Inquisition had to fight for our place in the world.

Rook has no personality, no matter which dialogue option you choose and plays therapist for the companions because they've been created as a goody two shoes, that scolds you if you misbehave. That takes out a lot from the roleplaying perspective previous games offered.
Yaaass. I always got bad vibes from Solas but his approval was always high because I was always asking questions. He never sat right with me. Trespasser proved my instincts right. The punch is so satisfying.

I thought romancing him made a better story but DANG this spicey Salty anger is just so perfect. And I like where they both stand 👏 “Because you have given up! I haven’t.” Older vs younger generation and I like that. This makes the inquisitor a much stronger character.
I watched this after the Trespasser DLC and it is really interesting because we see Solas dealing with the very same thing he fought against all those years ago.
After watching this (and doing Trespasser), it makes a lot of sense that Solas would hate someone considered a demi-god, and brought up to a status of "false-god" like the Inquisitor. Hard to watch him hating though, he's totally my kind of character, I loved him since the 1st time i saw him lol. I managed to screw up romancing him but i always loved him in secret. Give me Solas and Thane and I'm the happiest girl alive.

2:03 I haven't played as a female Dalish Inquisitor (I am assuming that is the only way to get that dialogue option) so I have never seen that response but HE JUST OUTRIGHT TOLD THE INQUISITOR HIS END GAME. Damn, I wish I could've captured him at the end of Trespasser.
I reached the point in romancing him where he offered to remove the vallaslin (I chose not to, Idk if it makes much difference) and damn, this feels good to watch.
I finally got this with one of my non-canon inquisitors and literally went: “Waaaait, I can punch him???” :D *punch* *giggling endlessly* “That’s for ruining my honeymoon, you bastard!!”
Man this is really eye opening for later stuff. He hates the idea of leaders being deified like the evanuris. He hates ancient elves being hurt. He sees modern peoples as savages or 'like a world of transquil' as he said. He hates anti magic templars. He hates dogma. He talks, not so hypothetically, about how the only way to help the elves would be to collapse the entire veil and use the fade to reshape the world. Damn.
I think I got this with Solas on my first playthrough. I felt like if you didnt agree with him from the beginning he turned sceptic on you. He did what he did with the fade. Claims to known all about it and no one else understands. Yet has no sympathy for those born and raised in a world with the fade and know nothing else. Wants to call them ignorant. He is at fault. Now wants to tear it all down. Destroying andraste knows what and whom. For what I see as selfish reasons. He deserved that punch in the very least. Well that's the way I see it with Solas.
I just found out what happens when you romance Solas and I've been sitting on my couch w/ the game paused, trying to find things to cheer me up, and this is the funniest thing so far even though I'm still bawling. Love you Solas you're my favorite stop being hostile

I spent all Saturday depressed after what happens in Trespasser, had I wished for Lavellan and Solas to get a happy ending. Oh well.
Ugh I'm just going to let my approval drop this low so I can do this. He feels so superior in intelligence and morale - I bet he wouldn't have volunteered to assist if this overall issue didn't directly involve the fade, since he has such a hard on for it. He's prolly envious of the anchor, too. He gets pissed because I become an image of hope and glory - people want to be lead and have something to hold onto. Man this is really eye opening for later stuff. He hates the idea of leaders being deified like the evanuris. He hates ancient elves being hurt. He sees modern peoples as savages or 'like a world of transquil' as he said. He hates anti magic templars. He hates dogma. He talks, not so hypothetically, about how the only way to help the elves would be to collapse the entire veil and use the fade to reshape the world.

I think I got this with Solas on my first playthrough. I felt like if you didnt agree with him from the beginning he turned sceptic on you. He did what he did with the fade. Claims to known all about it and no one else understands. Yet has no sympathy for those born and raised in a world with the fade and know nothing else. Wants to call them ignorant. He is at fault. Now wants to tear it all down. Destroying andraste knows what and whom. For what I see as selfish reasons. He deserved that punch in the very least. Well that's the way I see it with Solas.
I kinda really want to rivalmance Solas the way you could in DA2. Because tbh that tension was kinda hot lmfao
