I've owned one since 2017. It is a fantastic watch. When I bought mine, I was able to get almost 1K off list. The bezel insert is a resin according to Seiko.
Wonder what kind of a discount you could get these days. I'll be finding out soon hopefully. Planning to add a Tuna as my next purchase. Thanks on the insert info!
Great review! The SBDX014 is a purpose built tool watch as you said. It’s certainly bulky, but since it’s titanium, I’m sure weight isn’t much of an issue. Seikos new rubber/silicon straps are great and add to wearability. I’m glad they kept the MarineMaster text. Unfortunately, Seiko removed it from the MM300 SBDX023 which was one of the things that set it apart from the rest of the Prospex line. One note: you may want to sync up the reference number in the title. I believe the one reviewed was the SBDX014, but the title say SBBN014.
Oh thanks for that. Fixed. I actually had the sbdx023. I really liked the watch but let it go. Looking to add a Tuna hopefully very soon to the collection.
I actually don't mind the quartz models but these autos are pretty awesome too! Snagged the divers bell from a friend that had it. Not sure where it originally came from.
Yeah they can be pretty up there price wise. There's some really well built homages of it though. I've had a couple on the channel from Merkur and they were super solid watches
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces I just ordered a Merkur turtle. Already have their tuna. 0 QC issues 1/3 the price, unlike my Seiko SRPA83, and my Seiko SRPA21 that both have alignment issues. No more Seiko for me. Unless a SRPC91 comes along at a steal.(it's that dial)
The automatics are very thick watches...because of the movements...but, the quartz's are thinner. The 1000m quartz tunas are about the same thickness as the automatic Marinemaster 300m...and the 300m tunas are thinner still. And they all wear smaller than you'd expect.
Probably the best looking version of them all
I think so too.
Hey, SBDX014 owner here! Nice review by the way.
Such a cool watch! Thanks a lot.
Amazing watch, a collector shouldn't miss especially this model.
Couldn't agree with you more Bob! The TUNA DOES rule them all in the Seiko catalogue.
Great video as usual.
Thanks J! Good luck with the new wheels :)

Nice that they kept the "marine master" text on this model. Thanks for the great review.
Thanks!
Own this watch. I can only say that I love it. It's my most worn watch.
It's such an awesome watch.
A hockey puck watch for a small market IMO. Thanks Bob, stay safe. 😷
Thanks Kevin. You too.

Love my Tunas!! This is King Tuna for sure. The beast!!😎👍🔥🔥
It is! Very cool watch. Thanks Aron.
sick watch
great review B . As you know I have the SBDX 013. Love it to death.
Such an awesome watch. I recently picked up one of the newer Tuna's the S23633. It's been getting lots of wrist time lately.
Tuna tough as nails 😎 great review
Thanks Chris!
The tuna fit your wrist really well Bob, definitely a workhorse diver:)
I love how it wears. It's a fun one. Thanks :)
I missed this video!!!
I love that watch, unfortunatelly is completely out of my range.
I got the Baby Tuna which is fine.
I used to have the Baby Tuna. Miss that watch!
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces today is pricy, very.
I bought it for 270 dlls back then.
Epic b-roll as usual 👍🏼
Thanks!
Awesome watch! Waaaay too huge for me, but still awesome. 👏
Thanks Tom!
Always great to see an automatic Tuna! The quartz versions are something I could never spend the money on... Where did you get that divers bell?

Great review Bob! This is such a cool watch 😊👍
I'm really liking the Tuna models a lot lately. Hope to add one soon :)
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces I have been toying with the idea of building one 😬
@@drwindsurf Cool! Let me know if you ever give it a try.
I love the tuna!
Me too! Thanks :)
What a beast! 👍 👍
Hech yeah!
I can only afford the homage watches out there. Love the look of the tuna. In this case, the beauty is a beast.

Overkill haha
How much does it cost.wheres the best place to buy it...?
It's about $2500 usd. I know the store that leant this in has one available. Gembijou.com.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces thank u 👍
Don’t own one yet but man, I love tuna. Seriously though, it’s too large for my wrist.
They're pretty massive for sure. They wear surprisingly well though.
👍👍👍
The Willard rules them all. Not sure what to think of the tuna?
I've always been attracted to the tunas it's too big for my liking though.
They're definitely on the large side. Really cool watches though. Thanks.
If you’ve never tried one on I’d recommend it. They definitely wear smaller than their size would suggest.

I only buy Rolex and Seiko Tunas these days
I've yet to own a Rolex although someday I'd love a Milgauss but I'll be adding a Tuna very soon to the collection.
An unregulated watch makes a nice paperweight..
Haters going to hate
@@bradgreen9263. I hate when people say that. Lol
